2012 Epcot Food and Wine Festival *HAS ENDED*

You can always do quiche from the Patisserie in France...the have a wonderful Quiche Lorraine or a veggie quiche.

Great idea! Thank you!!

Unfortunately, the France pavilion opens at 11am, as well. You can't get breakfast there unless you go after 11am. If you want breakfast, I suggest Sunshine Seasons in the Land.

No worries BriarRosie, I specifically asked for breakfasty type items in the World Showcase - during F&W 11am is breakfast time for me & DH. :rotfl2:

Hope they post the seminars soon. There are 7 of us attending so we need to plan. Maybe tomorrow?

I know this is stupid but: ARE THE OCEAN SPRAY CRANBERRY GUYS MAKING APPEARANCES this year? I love them and would simply love to meet them and get pictures taken!:lmao:

THE BOG IS BACK (and why are we shouting LOL! ?) But I don't think we know if the "offical" Ocean Spray spokesmen are attending. But there will be cranberry folks there.

If we get info on seminars and demonstartions by Friday we will be doing great. Didn't we just get 24 hours notice last year?

Hi all,
does anyone know if I can get a refund if I need to cancel my tickets for an event? I am on a waitlist for a DVC room, and hope to get tickets for one of the F&W events, however if the waitlist doesn't come thru...no trip to the world!
Thanks All!

No refunds. I got one once, but I had video of a CM being rude on my cell phone to prove my "case" LOL But you can't get one if you cancel the trip.

Yes, I'm waiting for this too. Hope that we have a little time to peruse before the early booking window starts.

Do they put out extra seating for snacking on the booths in WS?

If not, where do you go to sit and enjoy your food?

I'm a F&W newbie, and I don't remember seeing much seating in WS. Thanks.

They put out small wrought iron cocktail tables throughout the world showcase. They are tall for you to stand at. There aren't a lot of them know. It always seems like they need more. But there isn't any additional seating added anywhere.

Well then the quiche sounds perfect for you. :rotfl:
I'm ready to start noshing around World Showcase festival kiosks at that time. :yay:

Yes, they have extra tables, but still not enough for the hoards of people. There were many times me and DH were juggling our drink and dish, while simultaneously trying to take a bite. :headache: Please be kind and share a table, you may meet a new friend! :goodvibes

Ok, Thanks. So I'm trying to remember where there are CS seating that we could use while going around WS. I've got a family member who will need to sit as we go around WS. The CS seating I know about:

-small area near Yorkshire County Fish Shop (UK)
-some indoor & outdoor at tangerine cafe (Morroco)
-air conditioned area in Liberty Tree Inn (USA)
-outdoor seating at the outpost?
-outdoor seating at La Cantina (mexico)

Are there any other CS seating that we could use?

Absolutely! We met a really nice couple on our last visit. The guy was had previously lived in the UK and told us lots of stories :)

Do DVC members get to book before the 14th? I swear I read the 10th somewhere but I've been reading so much, there's a chance I'm confused. :upsidedow

TIW, AP, and DVC will be able to book the seminars and culinary demos online beginning August 10th. That information has yet to be released.

The paid events (Food & Wine Pairings, PFTS, Culinary Adventures in Signature Dining, Wine School, etc.) are not available to any of us until August 14th.

:thanks: Seminars and demos are free? Am I reading this incorrectly? Sorry, I've never been and am confused some.

Same here. We love sharing our table and have met many interesting people and had some great conversations by doing so. :goodvibes

No. The deminars (as many of us like to call the demos and seminars) have started charging fees a few years ago. Somewhere in the $12-15 range I'd imagine, but we don't know just yet, as the info hasn't been released for 2012.
