2012 Epcot Food and Wine Festival *HAS ENDED*

I'm considering the Radeberger Beer Dinner but am also intrigued by AJ's report that Buddy Valastro wants to do savory dishes. I wouldn't pay a bunch of money for 3 desserts but savory? maybe. Of course I've never seen his show and am almost completely unfamiliar with him.

Thanks for the link! Nothing really appealing to me this year for the weekend I'm there (Columbus Day). I guess that leaves more money for tastings. Looking forward to the release of the deminar info.

Did they reduce the wine seminars in the weekends. Only 2? Since early in the week you tend to get generic seminars from Disney that just doesn't seem like many good options IMHO

Just re-read the special events page and I don't see myself signing up for anything except a PFTS if I can get reserved seating.

Yay! The one I was really hoping for will happen. Robert Irvine is there on October 26 for Kitchen Memories. We did his lunch last year and it was wonderful. Also means he will likely be there again for PFTS on October 27. Those are the two definite ones for DH and me so far. This year I will likely do the reserved seating for PFTS but NOT Wine View Lounge. For an extra $100 per person, the Wine View Lounge isn't worth it to me. I only booked it in prior years to get the reserved seat.

Woot Woot!! We'll see you there, that's the exact day and seating we want to go to!! So excited they finally released some info!! :dance3:

Finally some schedules I can sink my teeth into!! (pardon the pun!) :rotfl: I think we will be doing the Tequila pairing luncheon and 3D Dessert Party on Friday the 26th, PFTS reserved seating for the 27th, and Sweet Sundays on the 28th.

Cannot wait!!!! :cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:

Finally some info! I'm already signed up for the Viva Italia dinner at Flying Fish along with some of the other Jamborinis so that rules out an Italian wine lunch, I just can't eat that much food in one day!

We're there Oct 10 and leaving on the 18th in the morning. I was bummed there is no Grand Mariner tasting that Sunday, but considering the chocolate tasting. Also thinking about the Italian beer and Tequila lunches. We're probably going to do the S&D Classic Friday and PFTS on Saturday. I'll have to plug this all into my spreadsheet/schedule and see if it's too much.

From the Disney food blog: Booking for Tables in Wonderland members, Annual Passholders, and DVC members begins August 10th for seminars and demos (including Mixology).

Does this include Party for the Senses? Thanks!

No, it's just for the Festival Center deminars. PFTS booking opens on August 14.

i really want to try out 3D Delicious Dessert Discovery! it's a little pricey if we upgrade to the sweet seats ($85). does anyone have experience at this event and can give me their opinion if they think the upgrade is worth the extra $30? i read the review of it on the disney blog already (which is what sold me on going in the first place!). i'm actually not a huge sweet eater, but this event just sound so tantalizing to me! thanks!

Then we'll see you at Sweet Sunday on the 28th, too. Besides PFTS and Kitchen Memories. :) Talked to DH and we will also try to add the Italian Food and beer pairing on Tuesday the 30th. I think that's the most events I've ever booked for F&W. Now to see if I can actually GET all of them.

I was originally interested in the Victoria and Alberts dinner.... but at $495 each, that is a bit rich for my blood. PFTS is is for us on 10/27. I think I will try to get the reserved table seats.

I am not horribly curious about what the VA menu is though!! Yummmm....

So are you saying I can call to do FF already?
Thks!

I was toggling back and forth between the Kitchen Memories, and PFTS, but someone said the celebrity chefs for the week usually show up for PFTS, and we are hoping to see Robert Irvine there. We've never been, I'm so excited, and really hope we can get the tickets!! Be sure to wear your LGMH so we can say hi on Sweet Sundays or PFTS! Are you staying at BWV too? We may to meet up for pre-drinks! :)

The Flying Fish dinners you can book now, but don't call Disney Dining to do it. They have their own number to call. Right now I don't remember what it is.

More of me quoting from the Disney Food Blog (thanks AJ for assembling all this):

Can you explain a little more about the seminars? I assume you reserve them in advance, correct? How long do they usually last? do they book up quickly? This will be our 2nd f&w fest and thought it would be fun to book 1 or 2 of Hesse. R thanks! :thumbsup2

They last about 45 minutes. If it is a celebrity presenter, they will book up fast.

So what are the booths from last year that they will not have this year? I could compare but I thought I could find a better/quicker answer here.

Or are they all staying?
