2012 DVC Member cruise

I enjoy the member's cruise. Two out of 4 of my cruises have been members cruise. The people on the cruise are wonderful. The gifts are great. I am going to see if I can talk DH into the cruise. I don't know since we are going on the Fantasy next year and DS is now in school.

Both daughters graduated from River Hill. We are at the western end of Ellicott City less than a mile from Glenelg.

Hi guys - my mom and were just talking about this cruise tonight. We are currently booked on the Dream for a 4 night cruise in May of next year but are now thinking maybe we should see about the members cruise instead (well, if we can get in).

For those that have been before, can you give some examples of the different guest speakers that were on board? What kind of gifts did you receive? Any other details you care to give or highlights would be great.

Count me in on the MD deck!!!

It's been a few years since I've done a member cruise, but Roy Disney and Jodi Benson were onboard. As far as gifts, I remember getting lots of pins, most of which came in really neat boxes. On the last night we got really nice wooden photo boxes with leather bound Disney journals. Oh.. Mickey figurines holding bulletin boards for displaying pins.

1. I need to use 2012 and 2013 points, can they take them right then and there to book it ?

2. Can I add people to the room after I book ? I want to book 2 rooms and will put myself and 1 child in one and then my DH and 2 kids in another. Can I add 2 more people into my room, if it sleeps 4, at a later date ?

3. How many gifts do you get per room ? Is it per person or just for each room ?

4. Do you need your passport for the member cruise since it doesn't go anywhere but Castaway Cay ?

Next year would be the perfect cruise for us. Next October my DH and myself will be celebrating 10 years of marriage. I asked him if he wanted to go and said just us but he wants the kids to go too. I guess they can since there will be so many things for them to do without us.

We just celebrated our 35th on the ALASKA Cruise in May with our two daughters and son-in-law. Wouldn't have had it any other way. Even when the kids were younger we always took them. Most of the time they were doing their thing in the kids club while we had our time together.

I have a bunch of points and would love to burn them on the member cruise. I'd have to leave my 16 yo at home by herself and that concerns me. I may have to wait another two years

Ducky Williams was on one of our cruises a few years ago. My daughter won the sketch of Donald Duck he did while talking. It was great!
