Wahoo!! I am just North of New Haven so Westchester is only alittle over an hour.. I also prefer Bradley but like you said... For April, I can't be happier to take the drive to the airport .. North or South! Lol

So sorry to hear this... If caught soon enough, there is medicine that may lessen the pain/effects of the shingles. Sorry, can't remember the name of the drug. I hope his illness is as painless as possible; and that you can plan your next Disney trip soon

Hi everyone.. I need some advice and you are the best ones to ask!! Everyone has such great advice on this thread!! We are arriving in Orlando 4 days prior (Wed 4/17) till we check into the BC and plan to do other parks Legoland, Universal etc. I have not booked my offsite hotel yet. Any suggestions???

My BIG problem is that I need a car. I don’t know how I should rent it.. I also want to be able return it on Sunday 4/21 the easiest way without taking up a lot of time. (or money ) I read that Alamo/National are located right at the Dolphin. So if I rent from them somewhere offsite and drive to BC on Sunday am to drop off family to check in, do you think I can I return it to the Dolphin and “walk” back to BC??? Is it close enough??

My other concern is we are landing at 5pm on Wednesday night… should I pick up the car at the airport?? Or take Mears shuttle to the hotel and rent a car from there??? I bet its much cheaper as you don’t have to pay that “airport fee”. I’m so confused and not sure what to do… I priced it quick for a full size or small SUV and it was over $400.00 for 5days/ 4 night. Urgh. I really don’t want to pay that.

So if anyone has any advice… that would be wonderful!!! Thanks so much!!!

We stayed at The Doubletree just outside of Universal. Nice, spacious rooms, and very close to Universal.
If you need a rental car for first part of trip, I'd rent at airport. Any savings from renting offsite would be eaten up with paying for Mears shuttle.
Yes, you can walk to BC from Dolphin. I really like Alamo. Check on Mousesavers.com for any Orlando car rental discounts.
