Welcome Back, Teena!!!Speaking of colder days on the ship, we've finalized our plans to cruise on the Wonder to Alaska next summer. The Wonder seems like a more manageable size than the Dream (which was beautiful and in great condition but huge!) What did you think about the condition of the rooms and the ship generally? You know you're primarily responsible for this cruising after putting that idea in our heads back in July 2010!
Can't wait to see the photos!
I sent the pictures to MM and hopefully she'll be able to get them up. They were taken from my old cell phone so you never know.
I love the Wonder and the Magic. I'm not a fan of the larger ships. The Wonder was great ... I didn't think it needed anything. Our cabin was absolutely perfect. The condition of the rooms and ship in general was excellent.
I've done Alaska and loved it -- on Celebrity (before Disney went there). It's a whole different type of cruise. You don't ever want to do anything but look outside. I didn't want to participate in anything or even go to dinner because I was afraid I'd miss something outside. There was no sunning on deck or swimming ... no nothing but looking outside for Bob and me. What a beautiful place. We went the third week of July and had perfect weather. The only day we had to wrap up in blankets to stand or sit on the balcony was the day we sailed to the glacier. And you are so lucky you are going out of Seattle. We went to the fish market the morning before we got on the ship and really enjoyed that!!!
