I'm glad you had a great day!! :woohoo:

Teena, do you know if there is there any scuttle butt on resort specific wear or should I break out my sharpie markers and white T-shirts and do it myself??

Signed,
Can't draw to save my life in Marlton.

Haven't heard or seen a thing but I'll ask when I see the merchandise manager.

Coffee Maker Update:

One of the CM's in the housekeeping back office told me that the Keurig single pod coffee makers are being put in the suites and I think she said (but not totally sure - I was running out to the time clock) the club level rooms. The rest of the rooms are getting that other type where you can put in two pods at a time and get two separate cups ... she said "you can be making regular coffee and your husband can be making tea or decaf at the same time". She mentioned the name but I can't remember it.

She said the YC was done and they are working on the BC. She did not mention the Villas.

So, I guess we need reports from the club level rooms and the non-club level rooms to verify and of course the Villas but I would assume the Villas would probably get the ones that are in the non-club level rooms.

It was a great two days at work. Met so many old Dis friends (Amanda and Vanessa to mention a few) and made some new friends too. I LOVE MY JOB!

Cool! Thanks for the update. Sounds like you have a dream job to me!!:thumbsup2

Nathan asked me today if he can get Donald Duck this trip. On our trip last year we looked everywhere including DTD for a Donald Duck stuffed toy and couldn't find one. Anyone know for sure if they them there or should I look online and buy him one in advance? We are not looking for a large one smaller would actually be better.

Teen, oh you with the beautiful and creative Disney family (loved the pic!), it is SO cool to be able to hear things like the Koerig (sp?) in CL from you! That's seriously enough to ensure I don't downgrade my reservation!

Now to start pulling together my IPO form... I have to clear my desk of Mount Filesmore before my business trip next week as well!

Next question: what golf course is closest to the BC? And which is best?

I'm with our new friend Allen - I trust you guys!

Can't wait for the new coffee makers! I heard they have them at WL now. I think it's the pod style. Don't know why they wouldn't have the same Keurig ones in all the rooms? Since they had the same 4 cup drip in all the rooms. Prob cheaper to have them all the same?

glad you had a good day! If I lived in Orlando, I'd be working at WDw too :goodvibes

Just want to make sure everyone knows I was told the Keurig single pod coffee makers are in the suites and I think she said (but not totally sure ) the club level rooms. The rest of the rooms are getting that other type which are double pods.

So according to what I was told, suites definitely have the Keurig single pod ... not totally sure about club level ... and the regular rooms (not club level or suites) definitely have the double pods that are not Keurig. So basically from what they said I'm sure about suites and regular rooms but not sure about club level rooms that are not suites.

Yacht Club is done but they are presently doing the Beach Club now. So, hopefully somebody that is staying club level can report on what is in their room so we will know for sure whether it's the Keurig single or the other double type.

Wish I could answer your question because I would love to do a round on one of the courses but never have the time to pull it off. The only one I've experienced is Fantasia. Here's a breif description from the WDW site..

Disney's Fantasia Gardens Miniature Golf Course
Located within the Epcot Resort Area, Disney's Fantasia Gardens Miniature Golf Course is a miniature golf course consisting of 2 courses: Fantasia Gardens and Fantasia Fairways. Although subject to change, prices are $12.00 USD per 18-hole round for adults, and $10.00 USD for children 3 to 9 years of age. Both courses are open seven days a week from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m.

Don't worry Teena! I was just being hopeful! Not holding you to anything. ;). Just saying thanks as always for the on the spot information.

Hopefully someone can post a pic of the ones they have in their rooms. I have never heard of a double pod coffee maker and I thought Keurig used only k-cups and not pods. As time goes on I guess we will know for sure.

It's definitely a Cuisinart double pod in the club level rooms - I have a picture, but no way to post it until I get home tomorrow.
I haven't tried it (I'm not drinking coffee and DH has only had the stuff in the CL lounge) but it looks like it's easy to use, at least.

For those following my saga, my DH and I canceled my 40th birthday cruise due to health concerns with my son but we were able to salvage a 2 night, 2 day trip to Disney. We stayed at the Swan (great rate and BC/YC were sold out!!!) but I had a great opportunity to visit with Teena (thanks Dee for reminding me that Teena was working!). Thank you Teena for being amazing!!!
We had a trip filled with magic and pixie dust. It made it easier to face reality again!

Amanda, thank you for being you! I'm so sorry you are going through all this with your son and I wish I was closer to help. You are an amazing doctor, mother, wife and friend and you have helped me so much through my year of health problems. I'm so glad that Disney gave you a "lift" this past weekend. You are one of the strongest women I have ever met and it's an honor that I can call you my friend!

OK, thanks for the report Vanessa. So it appears it's single Keurig coffee makers in the suites and all other rooms (club level included) have the Cuisinart double pod coffee makers.

Now to really confuse everybody. Apparently the pods are not the same as the k-cups and I think the Keurig coffee makers in the suites have k-cups ... I walked someone to a suite Sunday and they had k-cups next to the Keurig. If you look at the pictures of the double Cuisinart pod coffee makers on the internet, the pods are different ... they look like coffee wrapped in a filter.

Vanessa, are the pods like k-cups or coffee wrapped in a filter? And what flavors/choices do they give you in the club level rooms?

Amanda,

I'm so glad that you were able to enjoy a few days away!! Well wishes your way from down south.

Missy

P.S. there will always be another cruise you can look forward to.

It's odd to me that they'd put K-cup brewers in one type of room, and coffee pod brewers in another. I would think it would be more cost effective to use the same type of brewer in all rooms, that at least uses the same style of coffee pods. I'm just puzzled.

My Y&BC friends, I want to invite you to follow me on twitter! I may not post photos to the boards while on vacation, but I will try share some on twitter. We leave for the World this Saturday! I'm pretty boring usually, so just make a note to start following me then. :-) Please send me a PM here or a DM on twitter so that I know who from the boards is following me. twitter.com/mississippianna

So glad that you were able to do that little get away! You needed it!!!

I'm so glad you had a chance to visit with Teena.

Take care, friend.

Leaving for airport any minute! Forgot to get trading pins from e-bay. Is there anywhere at Disney to buy cheap pins to trade? We will have a car. Thanks in advance!

Finally heard from my friend- hope it is not too late for this info.

The place she told me about is Belz Outlet Mall, off of International Drive.

Here is a link to a map, direction, phone number

http://www.bing.com/local/default.a...do&qpvt=belz+outlet+mall+in+orlando&FORM=LARE

She said the store she goes to is a Disney Outlet Store called Parade of Characters or something like that.

Sorry to take so long to get this info.

Does it look like this?

Amanda, I am glad that you still got to have time away. Hope all is well with your son.

Well, thanks to suggestions on this thread, I have decided to change one of my plans.

Originally I was going to go to the Hoop-De-Do on our first night at the world (arriving June 18th) but instead I have decided that we will enter Epcot once we get off the plane and to the Yacht Club and spend our first night eating at The Rose and Crown (no cancellation penalty) and see Illuminations that evening.

Hopefully upon entering Epcot, we will be able to do some of the less traveled Future World exhibitions when we arrive. I'm planning on us doing things like:

Ellen's Energy Adventure
Living With the Land
The Seas With Nemo
Imagination With Figment
Spaceship Earth

and possibly Mission: Space (Green for the first time)

Then we will have a nice dinner at the Rose and Crown and try to get patio seating for Illuminations. I'm figuring we'll try to get a 7:45 ADR.

This is our first evening at the world.

On our second full day at the World, we're going back to Epcot and doing Future World again. My goal for this day is for us to hit the bigger ticket rides and spend some time inside Innoventions. So it'll be Test Track, Sum of All Thrills and Mission: Space (Orange if everyone handled Green ok on the first day).

My plan is for us to enjoy the breakfast items in the club lounge first and then hit Epcot rope drop. Because there is so little on our agenda (because theoretically we would have already done so much our first day), I figure a noon ADR to Via Napoli will be fine, followed by spending much of the afternoon in Storm Along Bay and then heading over to the Hoop-De-Do later in that evening. I think we will hit Test Track as many as three times this day. This is one of the rides my family is most looking forward to. We aren't even vaguely interested in "Soarin' " as we have the exact same ride here at DCA.

We'll walk thru Epcot from the Yacht Club on our way to the Monorail to ride over to the Magic Kingdom for the boat ride to the Hoop-De-Do later in this evening. The proximity of Epcot to our resort makes me think we will be going there very often.

What do you think about my revised plan?

Allen
