I haven't been on this thread for a long time ( my Mom got very sick and passed away in July). Now my trip is less than a month away and my sister and I really need this vacation. I seem to remember that Teena likes Tastycakes... can someone refresh my memory which ones are her favorites? Thanks!

So sorry for your loss. I hope the trip eases your pain a little and you can enjoy yourself knowing that your mom is looking down on the two of you having a waonderful vacation together, I am sure she would want that for the two of you.:grouphug:

I believe it's Chocolate Juniors. It's in one of her posts from this thread.

ETA: Okay just saw that someone else answered Coconut Juniors and Chocolate Tandycakes....I"ve never even seen a tastycake so getting two words out of four should count..right LOL Around here we're Little Debbie and Moon pie People. If I ever get back up to Atlantic City I'm so going to have to find these Tastycake things.

jaceraden, I would LOVE to come along in your suitcase! :) And I miss that noodle family - need to visit them, too!

jerseygirl, so sorry to hear about your loss. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Glad you're joining us again, and please let us know if you have any other questions!

Sorry to hear about your loss..I hope you have an amazing trip!

I should have posted this here back in July, when we first got back from our amazing, week long stay at the Beach Club! It was pure magic from the moment we arrived. We were greeted at the bus and escorted to check-in, something I was not used to, as we've only ever stayed at Coronado and never experienced this in two visits. Our room was ready when we checked in a little before noon, too! SCORE!

Every CM we encountered from the greeter (not Teena) to the lifeguards were fantastic and great with my son. Everyone seemed to go out of their way to make us happy.

Our room was beautiful and oh so comfortable.

SAB really IS that amazing and nowhere near as huge as it looks on maps. I mean that in the best possible way, too. My four year old loved the small kid slide, as well as the sand bars.

My only complaint is that we waited too late for dinner one night, Beaches and Cream was jam packed and we had no other options for dinner. Really frustrating, but in the end we ordered room service and it was fine.

In fact, we loved it so much, we're going back in February! :woohoo:

Thanks everyone for your condolences. It has been a tough 6 months and now I am looking forward to the "happiest place in the world". On another good :goodvibes note, today is 4 years since my son ended chemotherapy and he is still going strong!!

Quick question about the YC. We are thinking of a switch to the YC to maybe try something new. One of the many, many things I loved about the BC was my ability to easily refill my resort mug. Is there someplace at YC to do this, or do you have to walk out to Hurricane Hanna's or over to the BC?

TIA! :thumbsup2

I guess I have been away from your TR too long! This was not the direction it was going when last I checked in. But I am SOOOOO excited for you!

From the page 1 FAQ:

Where can I purchase and refill a refillable mug?

Refillable Mugs may be purchased and filled at the Beach Club Marketplace (self-serve station), Beaches and Cream (CM assisted service, get into the ice cream takeout line), Hurricane Hanna's (self-serve station) and the Ale and Compass Lounge in the Yacht Club resort (coffee/tea self-service, juices and soda behind the bar).

Congratulations for your son. Just a little note to keep you going - in August it was 23 years since my ds finished chemo!!!!!

I am so sorry for your loss. You and your sister deserve a chance to make some happy memories together after what you have been through.

How nice of you to want to do something sweet for Teena.

That's so sweet of you. I'm addicted to Tastycakes -- favorites are chocolate tandycakes and chocolate juniors. I should be in work on 9/4 and 9/5. Heading to bed now. The pain meds from the surgery are wearing off and I'm feeling pretty beat up but the doctor said I'd feel that way for about two/three days. See you soon!!

This is Teena's reply to someone else's inquiry. (Post 600, page 40 of this thread)

I believe it's Chocolate Juniors. It's in one of her posts from this thread.

I may have said Teena likes coconut juniors. I thought she had said that once, but maybe I'm wrong. I LOVE coconut, so maybe I was projecting!

I have synchronized the November Guest List and the Noodle Swap with recent changes.

If you get a chance, please look over the lists on Page 1 and make sure we have your upcoming trip listed with the correct info.

Thanks!

Dee

Lesson learned on day #3....no more 7:30 am character breakfasts unless it's at Cape May and we're staying at BC. They are just too exhausting for my bunch! We had breakfast at 'Ohana, which was very good and enjoyed by everyone. Then we were off to MK. We stayed there til around 2:00. Lines were pretty short. We only used fastpass for Pooh. Jungle Cruise was walk on. Dole Whips were frosty spots of deliciousness in the hot sun! Then it was SAB time! Another perfect pool day, and I second the comments earlier about Hurricane Hannah's cheeseburgers----they are excellent! We chose to have dinner by the pool before we came in. DH and I did wander over to EPCOT for a snack and a OGMS....yum yum! But the early am caught up with us all and we were asleep by 9:30

I think I need a some magic energy pixie dust potion!

Sorry I didn't look on page one! :sad2: But that settles it...definitely the BC for us! I love free soda and the Marketplace had a lot of stuff I needed and I visite quite often.

As for our plans...yes, we had been thinking about the Contemporary, but then I realized that I wanted at least one more day at Disney, and CR is just so much more expensive than the non-monorail resorts, I couldn't justify it. Plus, my frugal husband really fell in love with the Beach Club and wanted to stay there again. Oh, and I was worried that CMs at the CR wouldn't be as nice as they were at the Beach Club.

Cindy, thanks for keeping us up to date. Sounds like the trip is going great! Hate to say it but going to bed at 9:30 for us is normal as we really enjoy the quiet and peacefullness of the morning sunrises and watching the World come alive.

Oh, and I was worried that CMs at the CR wouldn't be as nice as they were at the Beach Club.

Yeah, but I heard that CR was stealing all the phone books from the BC. You can't go wrong with either BC or YC. Happy planning.

Morning everyone....

I have been MIA for most of the summer, we had some work things...UGHH, a death in the family and then our cruise, with an Earthquake, hurricane and flooding, but I am back now.

We have 17 days until we are at BC, and I am so excited, I can't wait for a little fun, relaxation, and F&WF with friends....

Hope everyone has a great day.

:wave2:

Just checked a pm that I saved and Teena's favorite tastycakes are:

chocolate tandycakes
coconut juniors
chocolate juniors
