I am excited to report that I will be returning to BC this December! This will be my 4th annual trip to WDW and the first time that I am returning to the same resort. BC has won me over after trying AKL and WL, all club level stays. I booked CL again with a 35% PIN. This time we are staying in a Deluxe room. I am traveling with my DD12, DS9 and my good friend and her DD12. We are leaving the grumpy dads behind! It will be a nice savings to share the room cost and to have a lower bar bill- but I will still have to request a Sunken Treasure or two...

My friend has not been to WDW in at least 10 years and her daughter has never been so I am in full planning mode to show them why I love Disney!

After considering the pros and cons of all the deluxe resorts, BC wins for us for location, location, location and for the pool (with the hope that we will have one day that it is warm enough to use!- each year we seem to luck out with one warm day).

Teena was cruising last year I think during our visit. Perhaps we will have the pleasure of meeting her this time around. My kids would love to do some pin trading!

Not sure about the yoga. But wife did the massage last year. Here is a copy and paste from page 1 of this thread and the link to the website with spa prices.

Hello all :goodvibes

We'll soon be staying at the Beach Club. Looking forward to it...

I was wondering if anyone has taken a taxi to Downtown Disney from the BC recently and could tell me approximately how much it'd cost? Also, how long did it take? Thanks in advance!

We -- hubs, kiddo and myself -- thought it'd be nice to go there on one of our "off" days with my mom and dad.

We took a cab from DTD to BC yesterday afternoon and it took exactly 10 minutes and cost $10 before tip. I think the difference in cost from the other reports may be the route. Our driver was in the center lane and prepared to go straight past Epcot Resorts Drive, but we asked him to turn right there. Our driver said he usually goes around past Swan/Dolphin and YC to get to BC, but had no problem taking a right instead.

Have a great time!!

Speaking of noodles, our boys were absolutely thrilled when we retrieved the noodles from Bell Services and became quite attached to them! So many, many thanks to Marlton Mom for this wonderful idea - it was such a treat and so thoughtful of you to get this all started!!

Thanks to BlueSkies, PixarMom and everyone for all the love. :grouphug:

I am really impressed with all of the people that keep the Noodles going and I'm especially grateful to Bell Services for enabling our noodle 'thing'. :thumbsup2

Since I don't know my away around down there, you definitely could be right about the route! I just remember that we got stuck at the light to turn into the parking lot for a LONG time, and the meter kept ticking away while we sat! :rotfl:

We are booking the BC this weekend!!:cool1:

I have a question. I am looking a dining reservations. I would love to go to the POLY for dinner or breakfast. But not sure it is worth the hassle of getting there from the BC. I was looking for a fun and good meal for 2 of our nights. How do you usually get to the POLY for a meal? Is it hassle? Maybe there are other suggestions you would have instead? We are traveling with our DS who will be 8 at the time. I am going to get PH so Epcot would be an option as well.

Yay on booking the BC! :goodvibes

I'd suggest taking a cab from BC to Poly. The concierge at each resort can call you a cab within 10 minutes, and it's a short ride. You could also walk through Epcot and take the monorail, I suppose, but that seems like a lot more work than a 15 dollar cab. That's just my lazy butt talking though!:rotfl2:

Taxi for breakfast but.....Monorail from EPCOT is fun!
Also bus to MK and then resort boat or resort monorail to Poly. We consider Disney transportion another WDW 'ride'! You could go one way and come back another. The World is full of adventures. (Kona is one of our WDW favorites but with an 8 yr old you may be thinking Ohana.)

Let us know what you decide :thumbsup2.

Thank you for such fast answers! I wasn't sure about the monorail but that sounds like fun for getting there for dinner. I will let you know as soon as we book. It all depends on our arrival date. I am trying to squeeze at least one more night out of DH.;) We arrive around 3:30pm usually so a 7 or 7:30pm dinner should give us plenty of time. Oh and Ohana's is what I was thinking of.
Might do our first night at the BC resort just to have no worries on travel time

Hello everybody! Just wanted to say I am glad that my BC/YC family in the path of Irene for the most part are all ok! Living in the past in Florida and SC I know the fear of big storms coming! My family in SC are ok a ffew limbs but that was all!

I am so excited, I am in double digits till we leave Kentucky on Vacation! A few more days after that we will be at Disney World!:banana::banana:

Closer and Closer! Feels like time is creeping but I know come November time will fly!

Just got my power back- it went out at 5am on Sunday morning- lost everything in my refrig and freezer (we didn't have a generator) DH and I watched movies on my portable DVD player (6 hour battery) Sunday night and played games during the day. no damage to the property, thank goodness!!! Kids didn't lose power in their town, so went to get showers yesterday.
Come on November!!!!

We were lucky and only lost what was in the fridge...my DH said we should just purchase only what we need since we're going to be leaving town for Disney in two weeks anyway!:goodvibes

So glad everyone is 'digging out' from the storm.

Thanks for the photos pixarmom. Great info that will help newbies and veterans alike!

We actually took the monorail from EPCOT because the kids love, love, love to ride it. We drive to Disney and it is also easy to get there by car. We have also taken the bus to MK and then hopped on the resort monorail. I am sure cab would be easiest if you didn't have a car. We even ride the resort monorail around after dinner - like I said, the kids love it!
