2011 Yacht & Beach Club FAQ, Part II

Are there many differences between the SV and GV CL rooms themselves? Is one any bigger than the other? Is one located in a better space than the other in the resort. Are the GV rooms also on the same floor as the lounge or sprinkled across floors like the deluxe?

The rooms on the club level floor (fifth floor) are pretty much the same as the rooms on the other floors as far as size, shapes, etc. At the BC, there are lots of different shapes and sizes in ALL of the rooms. For instance, there are a few rooms on all five floors that are smaller than the average room and for the most part they put king beds in those versus two queens. Also, on all five floors, there are some really super large rooms compared to the average room. You walk in and say "wow .. this is a huge room".

The big difference between GV and SV is of course the view. The GV room views will be of woods, gardens or courtyards. The SV views will be of roofs and parking lots. Some rooms have full balconies, some have standing only balconies.

All club level rooms (standard, garden and water views) are on the fifth floor. The deluxe club level rooms (6 of these) are located on floors one through four. The one and two bedroom suites are also located on floors one through four. The Vice Presidential and the Presidential suites are located on the fifth floor. No matter where your club level room is, you get a key that gives you access to the fifth floor where the lounge is.

No problem ... I'm actually sitting here screaming and crying .... only kidding. The chance to fly versus driving ... you definitely did the right thing!!! If they schedule me, I'll be working on the 24th so we should get to meet up. And by the time I got to the BC on 7/24 the corn would have been dried out so honestly, it's fine. I hope we do get a chance to chat on 7/24 if they schedule me! I can't thank you enough for thinking of me and Bob ... it was very very sweet of you to even consider doing that!

Toni ... Bob and I will actually be there as guests while you are there. I'm finally allowed back in the sun come August and our anniversary is August 4, so we are checking in for three nights of fun in the sun at Stormalong Bay. We check in on Tuesday, 8/2 and check out on Friday, 8/5. So hopefully we can all float around the lazy river together!!!!

YAY! This sounds wonderful. We arrive on July 31 so I will plan in SAB time for 8/2-8/5. It will be so nice to actually have a chance to relax and chat together. Of course if you want to be second honeymooners with some private time, you can splash me out of the pool. Great news.

I have not been on this thread for a bit and it has been quite active (as usual). Glad to hear that some of you have enjoyed your wonderful vacations. As you can see from my ticker, we are heading down at the end of the month. Yay! Teena, hope we will catch you there after your visit to Jeanne and Peanut!

I've connected on the Noodle Family swap for the beginning of my trip, but I am not sure who I pass it on to. We depart on August 11. Who is next??

[BC/YC Pool Noodles]

Hello again Everybody! Paul Noodle here.

I have time to read the boards now that we are cooling our heels in Bell services waiting for our next assignment. Now that we are out of our stuffy mailing wrapper and sporting a bungee cord bikini, bell services doesn't seem so bad. Some of those packages from Garden Grocer can be a bit on the rowdy side but bell services just puts them in the cooler and they settle down pretty quick. For some reason, the noisiest ones are named Miller and Bud.

I had a great time meeting some of you and I'm happy to say that we've hooked up (bungee cord joke! ) with a new friend. Her name is Skinny Linny but her full name is Linguini, which is pool noodle for "you're hungry again in 1 hour".

The family and I can't wait to meet the next contestant on "The Pool Noodles are Alright!" I hope to find somebody that can take some more pictures with us.

Hey all. I am so far behind that I can't even possibly try to catch up. I've had a lot of things going on personally here, and I thought it was best to cut down some of my computer time.

One thing that has changed is that my parents will not be joining my family on our trip to Disney World in August now. It will just be my immediate family of 5. Honestly, I am not disappointed with this as I believe we need our own family time. My parents live next door to us, and I personally feel bad, but I need to have time away.

Anyway, thanks for letting me vent. We are all still looking forward our stay at the Yacht Club. Time's a tickin' down...

Hi DawnMaree! When we don't have the CL lounge for breakfast and we're not doing the in-room cereal and bagels, my family really enjoys BC Marketplace for CS breakfast. Last month, I asked my husband to pick a breakfast spot from all of the Epcot area options (TS and CS) and he chose BC Marketplace over everything else (including CS like Boardwalk Bakery and Picabu.) The ham and egg croissant is a big hit in our family.

We haven't done the dining plan in a while, so I'm not sure what a credit would include at the Marketplace, but we enjoy it!

Thanks! Definitely helps. I'm totally not a breakfast person but wondering if we have any CS credits left over on our day of departure, this would be the time to use it. I want to bring the toaster for a quickie bagel in the morning maybe.

Hey we might want to remove the 'GAP' after my name. I'm only hanging with the noodles till the 21, then Sweetpea is taking them until the 24th and the very next day disneyrinachick checks in on the 25th so not really any gap there anymore. Blueskies I LOVE YC CL It is my favorite resort, we head back next month again. I don't know about bus sharing b/c we rent a car but just wanted to tell you how awesome YC CL is!!!! I found the floor of YC CL 5th floor to be pretty small which I liked. So to me there really was no far walk to the lounge.

I completely agree!! YC CL is the absolute best. We will never stay anywhere else.

So, we are hoping to overlap our travel dates at BC with DHs cousin and family. They are sold on BC but mentioned that they are going to do CL. DH is already saying the trip is too expensive, so I'm not sure I can upsell CL without a discount! But of course if they are CL then we will feel like poor country cousins! LOL. Plus the kid's will be rotted if their kid's can go in the lounge and we can't, KWIM?

What's your opinion on how late we can switch to CL GV? I've booked regular GV already for May. Without some kind of code I can't see it working, but I'm hoping hoping hoping for some pixie dust!!!
