As far as I know there is only "wired" internet in the rooms. What we are thinking about doing is bringing a wireless router. My iPad has 3G so if the wireless router is a fail, I'll still have internet access.

Hey guys! I couldn't find this info on the first page.

Are the standard CL rooms ALL on the 5th Floor? I know CL suites are scattered around (or is that non CL suites? ).

I was looking on Google Earth & the 5th floor is really difficult to find! Is the CL lounge at the front of the resort, above the Lobby?

& where abouts are the Lagoon View CL rooms located?

YC's fifth floor is the top floor, so it shouldn't be hard to find. Look on Bing maps. I think it's better than Google Earth for the way it angles in. YC concierge lounge is in the front, I believe pretty much overlooking parking lot.

we are home from a wonderful stay at the Beach Club!! Wow! what a great resort We checked in on Sunday 5/22...arrived a bit earlier than I had planned to and I did see Teena in the lobby but you were busy talking with a woman and her adorable baby! I did not want to interupt you.

I had a standard room booked, with a request for a daybed and a full balcony. I did not do the online check in; the CM checking us in said we have you in a garden room The room was 4540 and did have a view of trees and such and through the trees you could see Spaceship Earth...no parking lot or rooftop view in sight so I guess we got a little upgrade?? Our room also did have a day bed and a full balcony

One thing I mentioned to DH was that I heard no noise from any of the surrounding rooms...it was so quiet! We have stayed at Pop a few times and Port Orleans and there was a noticeable difference in sounds between rooms

There was maintenance going on in the wing we were in(near the quiet pool) but it wasn't a big deal. We also found and utilized several times the "secret" pathway near room 1501 closest to Epcot. the temperature was so hot this week, that we were happy to find it and scoot in to get out of the heat!

We usually go go go on our Disney trips, but this time I was perfectly content to just hit a few of our favorite rides then head back to BC to swim and hang out at SAB. I loved this resort!! Also loved being so close to Epcot.

It just seems to me that wireless should be available even if they feel the need to charge for it.

The families involved in each hand-off would be responsible for contacting each other to arrange a time/place for the swap, or if the noodles need to go to Bell Services for a short vacation, I think the family that hands them over will have to give the name of the family who is going to claim them. OR would it work if we used a fake name (like the Ramen family) for each pickup?

I'm checking into YC on November 19th so I can take them from AvonLady and checking out November 25th. I'm checking into AKL on the 25th and will be back at YC on the 26th to return my rental car and can make the swap that day with WendyWuWu that day or leave them under Paul noodle with bell services if that is easier.

This is good news for those us with a family of 5 staying GV CL. Do you know if both the rooms had full balconies?

5636 had a full balcony of the dormer type.

I am confused. I thought the dormer balconies were the standing ones. Or are there really 3 kinds of balconies? Can you sit on it? Are there chairs?

Did you eat on site at any of the restaurants, Cape May Cafe for buffet by any chance, Beaches and Cream, Yachtsman, or Captains Grille for breakfast by any chance?

When you say construction, was it by the Beach Club Villas?

We are at the 37 day mark for our first DVC BCV stay!!!

We are in a 1BR and I requested an Epcot facing view when I called and booked. Is that the best way to request it? I really would like a view of the Eiffel tower or Spaceship earth. Is there a better floor to request also? I don't know how busy July is (I am assuming majorly busy) so I am not sure it will even be granted, but to sit on my balcony and see the Eiffel tower would be wonderful

we did not eat at any of the BC/YC restaurants this trip. We were not on the dining plan and only ate at a couple TS restaurants. Dh walked by the Cape May buffet a couple times and wanted to eat there (he loves seafood!) but the rest of us don't care for seafood at all so it was a no go. We tried to get into Beaches and Cream but it was an hour wait so we just went over to Epcot instead

The maintenance that I saw was in the wing near the quiet pool at the BC, not the DVC villas. All they were doing really was sanding/scraping the exterior to get it ready for repainting. The noise level was pretty low. I spent a couple hours in the room with DD while she napped in the afternoon and the noise from the sanders wasn't bad at all.

I don't know if it would be better to just wait until you get there (Don't do the online check-in) and talk to the CM checking you in in person, or to put it on your request ahead of time.

To see World Showcase I would recommend and odd numbered room 29-47, or even numbered room 20. To see the front of Epcot (Spaceship Earth, The Land) request an odd numbered room 57-73 or even numbered room 46 and 48. I'd say the room should be at least on the third floor, but higher would be better.

Would it be possible for us to do the switch some time on the 7th? That's our arrival day (getting to the resort around 10:30am) and we really have no plans for most of the day. The 8th would be harder for us as we plan to be at Epcot for rope drop and possibly won't be taking a break.

I know this might sound silly...I have a lagoon view room booked...but what exactly is it a view of...well besides the lagoon..LOL..is it BW...SAB area...Epcot...since I have never stayed at the BC I am kind of confused...???
