Hi to all from Texas! I spent the better part of TWO nights reading through this thread! I got TONS of great information, which I am soooo thankful for! (and LAUGHS, too thanks to the Noodle family!)
Just wanted to join the "family" of Beach Clubbers here. We will be staying onsite for the FIRST time at BC from July 12-19th. So excited I can hardly stand it! I needed something to pass the time... so here I am.
I probably won't be much help to most here...this will be our second trip to WDW- visited off site 4 years ago. It was the most AMAZING experience, and now that all of my kiddos are over 44" tall, AND we are staying at BC, I can only imagine the MAGIC we will encounter!

disneydreamer 21!! I am not a newbie to these boards but to the BC thread...and I agree..lots and lots of good info...lots of laughs from reading along too!! So no BC/YC help from me either..just lots of excitement about staying at this awesome resort!

Sgtgoofy Great review... We are staying at the BC for the first time .. CL too... sounds like we will be enjoying all it has to offer... CL food offering question...did they have different types appetizers every evening???

Okay, so people think they're on top of things because they figured out all of the Disboard terms and acronyms, like BCV, SIL, MVMCP, MNSSHP

and then they'll look at a recent post on this thread and be totally confused when someone writes,

"I'd like to fill in the noodle gap, and I'll pass the noodles according to the noodle calendar."

This thread has its own language!

I have been SSSOOOOO busy at work and home since coming back from our AMAZING trip that this is the first time I've been back on the boards!!!

I know, Robyn, I promised photos. I've been uploading photos this morning and will try to post this weekend about all our great events! I have today off from work but am on my way to my son's awards day in about 15 minutes.

We enjoyed our trip so much but it was PACKED with things to do so I decided to go back the last week of July for a more relaxed trip. We'll be at CR July 23-25 (no availability at YC/BC) and at YC CL July 25-30.

Hope to be posting about our May trip this weekend!!!!

This is a GREAT place to pass the time as you are waiting for your vacations to arrive.

DD21- great dates for your trip. Our last two trips were during the second week of July - we had fantastic trips!

Congrats Robyn, My DD graduated from law school 2 years ago and was admitted to the NYS Bar Association last May... she doesn't really practice law since she decided middle of her first year she didn't really want to be a lawyer but was already into it she went directly from undergrad so she was young. She is now the Chief of Staff to a New York City Counsel Member and is actually his General Counsel as well so I guess she kind of practices! Last year she was in NYC 40 under 40 (she was 25) up and coming politicians to watch in NYC. I guess politics is more her thing. Anyway it is a very exciting time. More exciting was the admittance to the NYS Bar.

Congrats to your son and your family!! Hope all is going as well as can be expected with your mom ;o)

Make sure you use the night vision goggles!! So cool!! Also your little one might like the parade around the lodge in the evening!! Lots of cool things to do. Enjoy!!

Hey guys! I couldn't find this info on the first page.

Are the standard CL rooms ALL on the 5th Floor? I know CL suites are scattered around (or is that non CL suites? ).

I was looking on Google Earth & the 5th floor is really difficult to find! Is the CL lounge at the front of the resort, above the Lobby?

& where abouts are the Lagoon View CL rooms located?

Thanks. It's definitely been nice to have some "good news" for a change.

Both my ds's went right from college to Law School. My older ds decided after two years that Law wasn't the field he really wanted. He decided that he didn't want another year's worth of loans so he just quit. At first I thought he made a really bad decision but now he's in a job he loves and doing very well.

The ds who graduated from Law School today is also very involved in politics. He was the President of the College Democrats in undergraduate school, worked for the Democratic committees in NJ and did an internship with Senator Lautenberg.

He's taking the bar in July - wish us good luck!

CR Resort Fan: Yes, there was some construction in the daytime but nowhere close to our room (#5637) or even our wing. Our balcony looked over the walkway from the BC to Stormalong Bay. It seemed most of the painting etc was going on in only one section closer to the villas.

Blue skies: Yes, there seemd to be a rotating menu for the lounge food. Breakfast was the same every day except for the types of pastries, muffins and loafs (i.e. banana, lemon). The 10:30-4:00 snack was always these delicious homemade potato chips with dill dip, cookies, chocolate pretzels, etc. The evening snacks from 5:00-7:00 rotated. I recall over the span of the 11 days, we had lobster salad, potsticker type snacks, chicken skewers, cheese filled egg roll type munchies, assorted veggies, spanish olives, apple slices with warm caramel dipping sauce, and rolls with peanut buttter and jelly on the side for the kids to make sandwiches. Late night desserts also rotated with mickey mousse, some rasberry chocolate parfaits, etc.

Please get a picture of your family or yourself with the noodles when you have them. Even better would be a picture of you AND the person you are handing them off to if possible. This is a great way to meet your fellow Yacht & Beach Club FAQ thread friends over something extremely silly!

If something happens to the noodle, it's OK... really! Just let us know and then some one down the line can try to replace it if they get the chance. This is all for fun so don't freak out if the noodles get lost or damaged. Have a great vacation and take care of the noodles with out fretting about it!

Pictures of the noodles engaging in your vacation activities are WELCOME! Say you are having a drink by the pool... take a picture of the noodle (with yourself as well if you want) 'posing' with the drink and post it on the Yacht & Beach Club FAQ Thread. Be creative! The sillier the better and an imaginative caption will help to set the scene and tell the 'story'.

The families involved in each hand-off would be responsible for contacting each other to arrange a time/place for the swap, or if the noodles need to go to Bell Services for a short vacation, I think the family that hands them over will have to give the name of the family who is going to claim them. OR would it work if we used a fake name (like the Ramen family) for each pickup?

Notes* A 1) denotes the first person of the time period to post and ask for the noodle. A 2) means the second person to post for that time period and so forth....

I am so excited I could burst!!!

I just called to change our resort dates for our 'pool view' room Nov 7-13 to Nov 13-19 and the CM asked me if I wanted to upgrade to a lagoon view club level room with 40% off!!!

I quickly did the math and saw I was saving around $700.00 if I 'forced' myself to choose the CL room over a pool view room so I grabbed it.

I also got the same rate for my sister's room...my ear is still ringing from her shrieking into the phone when I called to tell her the good news!!!

Nannette - can you please change our dates to November 13 - 19. Thanks so much.

Ok updated Dee will make the change when she can. Congrats on the upgrade!!!
