It's a small world after all. . .

It's a small, small world.

One of the things I enjoy about being in Lumberton is that I live on one side of I-95 and work on the other side. I always get to see all the traverlers passing through and I always imagine they're on their way to WDW!:woohoo:

Many times I see cars at gas stations on their way back home with their windows full of WDW/Mickey bags full of all the treasure they just couldn't resist while they were there. It makes me happy every time I see it and always makes me want to plan another trip to my beloved YC! Seven more days!!!!!:dance3:

That is so cool! I hope you were safe last week when the storms came through. We were at the WalMart and got holed up in there waiting for the tornado that was spotted in Fairmont to pass. It was scary.

The week before, our neighbor, a Robeson Co sheriff's deputy, lost his police cruiser to the hail storms.

It's been scary.

DH and I both teach in South Carolina (me, in Marion Co, dh in Dillon Co). I soemtimes think I'm the only person around who loves Disney as much as I do. I am glad to know I am wrong.

Have a great trip!

We were safe but some of the people I work with had a lot of damage. It really was scary!:scared1:

Everyone remember to honk as you pass through the southern part of NC on I-95......there are Disney fans watching as you pass by!!!

If you would like to be added to the "Guest Lists" we keep on Page 1, let us know the dates of your upcoming BC stays. :cool1:

Oh, that would be great! We'll be there from June 2-4!!! :goodvibes

Hopefully we'll be back for Christmas too, I think after my DH spends 2 nights at BC he'll be wanting to rush back in Dec! ;) :wizard:

Oh my am I glad to be checking into the Dis and the YC/BC thread! My family has been without power until today (5 days) thanks to the tornado's that passed through here last week. Thank goodness we weren't hit directly and I'm thankful that the lack of power and some tree damage to my car was the only damage we sustained. So many lost so much! What a scary day that was :sad1:

I am soooo ready for our upcoming trip to the BC! I hope all are doing well. Give a hug to your loved ones and if your so inclined say a quick prayer for those who lost family, friends, or homes.:)

I would think so, I had to email them on something yesterday and they sent me a quick email back asking if I still wanted MVMCP as they were starting to purchase the tickets today, I then got an email this morning saying they'd purchased them :)

I got an email saying they bought the tickets!:cheer2:

Robyn...My thoughts and prayers for your mom & your family...Hoping she gets better soon!!!:grouphug::grouphug:

We made it and are enjoying the Beach Club immensely. Highlights so far:

Check in through club level was super smooth.
I think we got the only GV CL with a day bed -#5636. Great room and view. I was so hoping for this after someone else a few weeks ago had posted that they had stayed there. We have 5 and it is working out well.
Met Teena!
All CMs have been super helpful.
Love the beds. I am not sure if this is a new daybed but it is big and would easily accomodate an adult in length and it's width is decent too.

Lounge this AM looked like a bit untidy and many things were not restocked. around 9am. Dishes everywhere and every table that was empty had dishes on it so we had to clear to have a seat. Not many people in there at that time - we must have just missed the rush. CMs did restock and were cleaning up as we finished. Seemed to be staffed with 2 CMs. I am sort of amazed at the amount of food people eat during the appetizer hours - it seems that perhaps it is serving as meal so the CMs are hustling to keep things replenished during those hours.

The CL concierge did provide us with a print out of all of our reservations. Ours wasn't correct from what I had printed right before I left. I had made all ressies at 180 days and nothing changed so I am not sure why things were different. I verified and all are correct compared to my print out.

Construction is ongoing and on several facades facing Crescent Lake. Alot seems to be going on around the quiet pool area and the East side of the entrance facing Crescent Lake. It seems that the workers are doing their best to minimize the disruptions.

Campfire times as of now - 8pm
Movie at 9PM

Got several different answers on SAB hours from lifeguards but consistently say that the hours change regularly based on numerous factors. Last night and tonight it closed at 10pm.

I am going to look for the secret entrance at 1501. Have been going out by the quiet pool and thought that was a quick out but I don't think that is near 1501 - I think the numbers around there were higher.

Time for sweet dreams at the Beach Club - another busy day tomorrow!

Sounds like a great time! Thanks for the updates! Can't wait for August :goodvibes

Thanks for taking the time during your vacation to give such a comprehensive reveiw of your trip so far. Live reports rock! :woohoo:

So glad to hear you have a daybed! If you get a chance, could you snap a photo or two and either post or PM to me when you return? I have a couple of daybed pics on file, but I would like to have a collection for anyone who has future questions.

Thanks for the info about the movie/campfire times!

Weird about the different reservation times. Were the reservation confirmation numbers the same?

It will be interesting to see what you experience for conditions in the lounge as the week goes on.

Have a fun, fantastic, magical day!!!

Would you be kind enough to see if and what the wieght and hieght requirements are for the pirate slide. My family is all pooh size and my hubby really wants to go down the slide with my son, so we are wondering if he will be able to. Thanks and enjoy your trip!

My DH is 6'4" and at least 280 lbs and he went down the slide many times last summer.

Glad to hear you made it safely to BC. Thanks for taking the time to post an update of how everything went. Sounds like the CM's working the lounge have their work cut out for them.

Have a magical day !

PittPantherFan - we were in that same room in 2008!
I think it is the only gv cl room with a daybed, at least for now.

Have a wonderful stay!

We're driving down this year so I'll be thinking of you as we pass through Lumberton!

Thank you all for your kind thoughts and prayers. I'll be leaving soon to go back up to ICU.
