Well, that's all for now. Oh wait---NO! There's one more thing that is soooo IMPORTANT! Will the secret fantasy closet be up and running by May 20th? Because Mama needs to stretch out on a daybed and sip a Grey Goose slushie while watching some Chippendales in a very BAD way! :lmao:

Cheers all!
Alice'

Oh yes the closet is open and ready for relaxation! The Chippendales are practicing their "lifts" and "dance moves" as we speak and Green Grocer is scheduled for the first delivery of Tastykakes (Chocolate Kandycakes!!) to the closet's pantry.

Come on down Alice!

We changed our August dates, and we dropped Club level! We are now going August 5-14. So instead of 7 nights club level, we are now 9 nights garden view.

My DH is 6'4" and at least 280 lbs and he went down the slide many times last summer.

Amanda

My DH even though he doesn't look like it, is 6'2 and just over 400lbs, he has used the slide at the POFQ with no problems, but this one is so much bigger I just wanted to be sure.

Good thoughts going out to you guys, I will be thinking of your family members.

YAY!!

Some good news!

(I know I'm pretty much a stranger here, but wanted to share anyway!)

I just graduated from the oncologist!!! He said further visits were "optional."

I'm so excited!

PS. Had to throw in the laundry just for kicks!

Good morning, everyone! I didn't mention anything yesterday when I posted the movie list (bc I was trying to "go to my happy place"), but I spent the day at the orthopedic and hospital w/ my oldest son who broke his hand in a lacrosse game on Sunday. Poor baby (he's actually 17.5 years old) will have to have surgery on Thursday morning and we had to come out of pocket $1300 yesterday before the orthopedic would even see him. I'm so tired and worried about the surgery, his recovery/ rehab, the fact that we'll be leaving him behind in 2 weeks to go to Disney and especially about him being able to complete all of his school work and prepare for finals considering he missed yesterday and will miss Thursday and Friday. I can't vent on FB bc I don't want him to worry (about the $$$ or the surgery), but I sure could use some prayers thrown my way.

Here's one for all of us from me: Dear Lord, please keep all of us safe from harm. Comfort those who are hurting and give peace to those who are troubled. Remind us that we are not to lean unto our own understanding, but trust your way and your will.

Happy Tuesday, friends! Hope you all have a beautiful day!

Alice'

Sending prayers for a successful operation and speedy recovery! My 7 year old just started in the local lacrosse clinic. Maybe I should reconsider??? :rolleyes1 ;)

Congratulations on your fantastic news and thanks for sharing it with us.

As many have pointed out, there are no strangers here, but there are none stranger than those of us here on the YC/BC/BCV thread. And I wouldn't have it any other way!

I'm planning my Sept '12 trip, and REALLY considering the BC! The pics look amazing, and the close proximity to EPCOT is really a factor.. I'll be running my first half next fall! :cool1:

So for any runners, how great is it to stay at BC and then go to Epcot for the race?

Oh, and I will be able to stay in a room for 5 right, it will be DH, myself, and DC 7, 4, 2, 11 months...

What do the Club Level Deluxe rooms look out too?

In February, our deluxe CL room (4th floor) had a really nice view of the quiet pool. And from one end of the balcony (which was huge!) we could see Crescent Lake and the Boardwalk. Loved it! :)

The Jersey mosquitoes are telling me that the Florida love bugs are out. Does this mean when I come to the Beach Club June 10th to the 20th that the love bugs will be gone, or do we have to get bug zapper for the fantasy Suite?

Smoochies (but not if you're a love Bug!)
Marlton Mom

PS I really want to know if the love bugs will be gone in time for my trip....

PSS. I know, I know, you are shocked, SHOCKED! that Marlton Mom has a real question. It's just that with all this exercising for my Disney trip the blood is really circulating in my brain and I'm starting to become rational. Please forgive me. ;)

Excuse me while we interrupt this regular schedule discussion board for a bit of dining news.

Back from our quick trip to The World. Great weather and great food. Throw in a little theme park fun and it was close to perfect (again!). Said I would do a little Jiko review for my Y&BC family so here ya go.
Had a wonderful server that called us by name when she walked up. We were presented warm towels to freshen our hands before the meal began.

We ordered an appetizer, Bobotie Roll. But before it came our server brought a complementary pre-appetizer dish each. A small bowl of African grain (don't remember name) with a sauce over it. It was ok, but the gesture was really nice. The Bobotie roll was worth the wait.

DW ordered the Oak Fired filet with Mac n' Cheese. (Still think that is a neat combination for a fine dining restaurant ). I ordered the Peri Peri Chicken. Both were great choices.

No room for dessert. Will say that Jiko did deliver. Didn't have quite the fancy feel to it that Cali Grill and Citricos did to us. More on the line of Narcoossee's as far as atmosphere but the food was wonderful..... Will definitely go back into the dining rotation.

And now back to your regularly scheduled resort discussion.......
