YAY!!

Some good news!

(I know I'm pretty much a stranger here, but wanted to share anyway!)

I just graduated from the oncologist!!! He said further visits were "optional."

I'm so excited!

Alice, I am SO happy for you!! We miss you on the bc thread. I am going to the oncologist tomm and will probably have some tests next weeik. Then we will be at the BC and YC on May 23-28th!

Does anyone know what the days and times are for May for Bingo at Stormalong Bay? TIA

My family and I will be staying in a deluxe room at the Beach Club in June and I promise to take very detailed pictures of this room. There does not seem to be much information on this room category but I am very excited to find out it will entail.

What do the Club Level Deluxe rooms look out too?

In February, our deluxe CL room (4th floor) had a really nice view of the quiet pool. And from one end of the balcony (which was huge!) we could see Crescent Lake and the Boardwalk. Loved it! :)

Cassushi- thanks for the offer to take some pictures of the deluxe room you will be staying in. I'm sure that will be very helpful.

According to my notes, there are six deluxe Concierge rooms at BC. From information guests who have stayed in these rooms, we know that:

1557 has a patio and lots of windows.
2557 and 4557 have extra large balconies.
3557 has the standing room only balcony.

Pixarmom described the view of the 4th floor deluxe above. Is it safe to assume the view is the same for 1557, 2557 and 3557? Does anyone who has stayed there know?

3691 has both a standing room balcony and a full balcony
4681 has a standing room only balcony.

Anyone know the views from room 3691 or 4681?

3691 and 4691: These rooms are corner rooms. If you look out the window in the room, you'll see a view of SAB and the lake. Out the side, where the balconies are, is the courtyard. If you walk out the back door in the lobby and look up to the right, there are those two rooms. The room on the fifth floor (5691) is the Vice Presidential. Nice views!

Thanks Teena, can't wait for my first visit to the Beach Club and to actual be able to have a Deluxe Club room is amazing, a great way to spend my 40th birthday and 10th anniversary

I can't think of a better way to celebrate!!

Excuse me while we interrupt this regular schedule discussion board for a bit of dining news.

Back from our quick trip to The World. Great weather and great food. Throw in a little theme park fun and it was close to perfect (again!). Said I would do a little Jiko review for my Y&BC family so here ya go.
Had a wonderful server that called us by name when she walked up. We were presented warm towels to freshen our hands before the meal began.

We ordered an appetizer, Bobotie Roll. But before it came our server brought a complementary pre-appetizer dish each. A small bowl of African grain (don't remember name) with a sauce over it. It was ok, but the gesture was really nice. The Bobotie roll was worth the wait.

DW ordered the Oak Fired filet with Mac n' Cheese. (Still think that is a neat combination for a fine dining restaurant ). I ordered the Peri Peri Chicken. Both were great choices.

No room for dessert. Will say that Jiko did deliver. Didn't have quite the fancy feel to it that Cali Grill and Citricos did to us. More on the line of Narcoossee's as far as atmosphere but the food was wonderful..... Will definitely go back into the dining rotation.

And now back to your regularly scheduled resort discussion.......

Thank you for that review! We picked Jiko for our date night dinner during our August trip. I've been worried about it! I'm pretty sure that my DH will love it but I hate any and all curry. It sounds (from your review) that I'll be able to avoid curry.

Great thread as we love the BC...:thumbsup2

Welcome! I wonder if you're near us. We live in Scarsdale...

Amanda

Thank you! Thank you! I really appreciate the review - looking forward to our August ADR. And it's good to hear about the atmosphere - I think it will be a good match for us! :)

Don't forget the lazy river for the fantasy bathroom! Well, um..... after second thought perhaps we should place that on the roof!

And Smee, I LOVE your Tigger Avatar! Too funny, that Tigger ! :tigger:

Tigger may have been performing a Public Service that day...

Who knows, perhaps he can "mug" me again in a mere six days from now!

When I will be checking in at the Beach Club, just by way of sticking to the thread...

OK BC and Disney experts, I have a question. I don't want to start a new thread because I know this is a "hot" issue and I honestly don't mean it to be. We are flying and taking ME to BC. No car. My friend I have not seen in years will be in Florida the same time we are and she is going to drive in with her family for dinner. We will not be doing a park dinner. Here is the question-Where can she park? I know she could pay and park at a park but that doesn't make sense or she could park at TCC but again, doesn't make a lot of sense. Any thoughts?

Are you eating at one of the resorts? She could park "legally" for three hours at a resort if she were eating there.

If they are driving in to have dinner at a resort, typically they can park at the resort where they have an ADR. When they check in with security they should be issued a parking pass, typically good for 3 hours. Or they can pay to valet park where they do not enforce any parking limit policies.

5 More Days!!!!!!:banana::banana::banana::dance3:

Technically I don't count the day I arrive and today is already over SSSSOOOOOOO........I say there's only 4 more days!!!! Can you tell I'm excited!?!

Oh don’t bother getting all sticky. As far as posts are concerned for this thread, some days its darts, other days its horse shoes.... and besides just how many "will my room have a balcony?" posts can a person take? A little Tigger talk is just the ticket to take the edge off the middle of the week and I'm STILL NOT AT DISNEY blues.

Hello from Louisiana! We will be in a 2 bedroom villa at BCV May 28 - June 5. This will be our 2nd time staying at BCV. Last time was in January '09 and SAB was closed for renovations. So we are going back and hope to spend some time enjoying it this time! :woohoo: 24 days and counting down!!:banana::banana:

Would you be kind enough to see if and what the wieght and hieght requirements are for the pirate slide. My family is all pooh size and my hubby really wants to go down the slide with my son, so we are wondering if he will be able to. Thanks and enjoy your trip!

I'll will check tomorrow. I couldn't get the website up until today! My kids were on it all day today but I didn't notice the signage.

So glad to hear you have a daybed! If you get a chance, could you snap a photo or two and either post or PM to me when you return? I have a couple of daybed pics on file, but I would like to have a collection for anyone who has future questions.

Weird about the different reservation times. Were the reservation confirmation numbers the same?

I will get some day bed pics.

As far at the reservations - the printout they gave me actually were missing some. I had made them all at the same day with the exception of a Fantasmic dining package. The printout had the fantasmic but was missing 2 others. I immediately checked the website myself and things were there. I could have taken it back to the concierge but I am control freak and wanted to verify myself. All worked out - we have had dinner at the ones that were missing and they had our ADR.
