Ok i just got from the IPO, the July Yacht & Beach Club recreational activities flyer...all movies and schedule for pool etc.

Let me know if anyone wants a copy...I cant seem to link it here :confused3

I'm doing a beach/beach club themed guest bedroom in my home. I wanted to blow up a picture of the yacht/beach club (Similiar to the pic in my ticker) and put it up on the wall. Does anyone have any great shots of it or know of any links that have great pictures. otherwise I guess it will have to wait until I am there in October.

I'd love a copy of it as we leave next week. Do you need me to send you my email?

Just booked YC for Sept 1-3 for a last minute Labor Day weekend getaway. So excited to be back! We were there in May and thought we wouldn't get back until January. :) We will spend the rest of the weekend at Royal Pacific at Universal our second favorite hotel. :)

We are planning a first night dinner at Yachtsman. Anyone have experience there they'd like to share?

I'd love a copy of it as we leave next week. Do you need me to send you my email?

I would also like a copy of the July events. Should I pm my address to you?

You can email me at priskillet73@yahoo.com
I will email it to you that way! I cant seem to link it here and send. So email and I will do it that way. :)

GV CL booked!!!

When I called, the CM told me that since there will now be 8 of us going, we are a Grand Gathering. Any advice on those experiences? Of course, DH said it is an Eight Grand Gathering. :rotfl: Come on discount!!

So these rooms are all full balcony. What would be your suggestion for the best room request now that I don't have to request the full balcony?

Now to try to pay for it!!!!!

I just happened to look online and a Deluxe Club Level room opened for our stay. Right now we have GV CL booked. I am not sure if I want to switch. I like being on the Club Level but the extra space, especially with the crib would be so nice. Now the biggest thing is we are booked through a TA so I can't even talk to her until tomorrow to try and switch it. What do you guys think? Worth it? The extra cost is not an issue, it isn't that much more.
I am not sure how much the difference is between the Deluxe Club Level Room and the Garden View - Club Level Room, however I do know their Deluxe Club Level Rooms are less expensive then their Lagoon View - Club Level Rooms.

Before we made our Club Level reservation at the Beach Club we were going to go with their Deluxe Room, however when I then found out those rooms are located between the 1st and 4th floors we decided against it because we wanted a room on the 5th floor to be by the lounge. The reason why we went with their Lagoon View - Club Level Room is because the Garden View rooms were sold out with the 35% room only discount for our dates and we didn't want to take a chance with the Standard View and see the parking lot.

I don't know where the very few (9) GV CL are located, but I'm guessing that there is just one or two clusters of these categories of rooms, so there probably isn't a whole lot of difference between each of the rooms.

Do all of these look out onto courtyards or do some of them have a woods view?

Is the group you are booking with in the same category as you? You could request "Close to XXX family" or "Away from XXX family if that is your choice" :)

Close to lounge/elevator?

Hi! Thank you for the offer. I sent you an e-mail. If you are able to e-mail a copy to me, I will see if I can attach it or get the information up onto the first page.

Build a Better Mousetrip still has not updated the July movies on their site.

My dh would love a view even if it is not a direct one of Epcot. So my question is can I see Epcot from a Garden View room Non Cl and do non-cl rooms have full balconies?

Let's see if we can get an answer to your question.

I have never stayed in a GV room, so I don't have the direct knowledge to help you. Do some of the GV non-CL rooms look out onto the woods facing EPCOT?

Anyone have a picture of the view from one of these rooms?

I'm guessing that some of these rooms would have full balconies, some not.

When we stayed at BC in 2009, before they reclassified the rooms, the room we had I would think would now be classified as GV. It was right along the walkway that the secret side door near room 1501(?) is and on the 2nd floor. During the day or view was the walkway and trees. At night our view was the fireworks from illuminations. We had a full balcony. Like I said I would THINK this woul be a GV room since it looked out at the woods and not a rooftop, parking lot, or any kind of water. Hope this helps.

Hey Dee,
Good luck on you Trip Which Must Not Be Named. Was thinking that it was getting close.

Hats off to you and your family for having the guts enough to book it. Always wanted to go to 'The Other Place' but could never pull the trigger to do it (and always found an excuse not to). Someday.....and your trip report may tip the scales to a go or no go!

Have fun and enjoy

Thanks Mike!

We have a pretty ambitious schedule! I'm sure that's a surprise.

Monday- 7 am flight, Universal Studios
Tuesday- Islands of Adventure (Harry Potter Land)/ Sea World in the evening
Wednesday- Magic Kingdom. SURPRISE! The boys don't know we are going- eating dinner at Kona. Hope to make it until dark.
Thursday- Sea World, possibly US/IoA in evening
Friday- IoA/US, whatever we want to redo, until 6 pm flight.

I am excited about the trip but so sad we are not staying at the Beach Club this summer!

Thank you to everyone for the picture suggestions for the guest room. I really hope the beach club has some resort specific merchandise back in the guest shop when I am there in Oct. I really can not wait to get there and I'm ok with rushing my summer in order to do so. ;)

Each trip I buy one of the beautiful YC/BC paintings that are sold in the Marketplace gift shop. They are beautiful recreations of paintings of the resort done by artist Alexandria Skordas.

You can buy them framed or unframed. I purchase them unframed and then frame them myself locally since I'm not crazy about the frames they offer at the Marketplace.

Just a thought.

Mission up for grabs!!!

Could someone take a few pictures of these pictures? I would love to add these to our Marketplace photo thread.

pixarmom- I don't think I have started a wishlist for you yet, but if I don't get this request before your trip, would you like the assignment?

Thank you . I don't mind looking at a tree and everyone walking to Epcot to have a view of the fire works at night.

I can take a couple of pics of the ones I have at home if that helps.

I'm back at my beloved BC in late August and happy to take pictures of them then, though I'm sure someone will beat me to it long before then!

Have a cup of coffee for me out on your balcony overlooking a beautiful courtyard!

I will definitely do that! Have a terrific trip to "you know where!". We just took an unexpected trip for a week in June and we loved it! (that's why we are flying this time, my DH can't take another 14 hour drive with only a 4 week turn around time!) We stayed CL at the RPR and it was amazing! We had such a wonderful time. The WWoHP takes your breath away! The BC will always be our "home", but it was nice to venture out of our comfort zone!

You will have a blast! Have a safe and wonderful trip :goodvibes
