2011 World Series

Lol....a complete game shut out only comes from amazing pitching. I'm pretty sure the Cards had their heart in the game....it's the World Series. I've watched Derek Holland all year and like I said before, he's either on or off and tonight...he was ON!!

Congrats to the Rangers. It was awesome pitching.:thumbsup2

We had the pitching last night. The Cardinals had the batting the previous night. This makes it interesting!

Obviously I want the Rangers to win, but like last year with the Giants, I am impressed with the Cardinals.

I love watching our coach more, though :).

Same here! I don't breathe when the Cardinals come to bat! I love Wash!!! He's so awesome to watch!!

Awesome win for the Rangers last night! It got kinda hairy at the end and I would have like to have seen Holland finish the game, but we got the win and that's all that matters! Let's take it back to St. Louis up 3-2!

So freaking proud of Derek Holland last night! We've been fans of his since he came up from the Minors (and even followed him on his trips back down to the Minors) and just saw this stat...Derek Holland is the first AL pitcher to throw 8.1 scoreless innings in a World Series game since Andy Pettitte threw 8.1 innings in '96 Game 5.

For their number 4 pitcher that is AMAZING!! Not rubbing it in to Cardinals fans or trash talking...because I hate trash talking. I'm just on an incredible high from last night and can't believe how awesome he did!

I just hope CJ can step up tonight and the Ranger bats can come alive against the Cardinals star pitcher!

He didn't do that great lol. You are giving this guy WAY To much credit. He walked several people, like I said earlier the Cardinals weren't in the game last night.

If Michael Young had been on 3rd base instead of Beltre I am pretty sure he would have NOT caught this!! It would have been a double and could have caused a rattled Derek Holland...but instead he knew the defense had his back and could relax and pitch.

I just freaking love baseball.....and I freaking love the Rangers and while I love the World Series it makes me sad that I don't get baseball again until Spring Training in March! :sad1:

If by several people you actually mean 2, I don't really think that is a lot. Derek walked 2, Feliz (who enjoys 9th inning drama) walked 1. Jackson on the other hand walked 7. The Cardinals got beat by Derek Holland and (in my opinion Beltre at third), it wasn't because they "weren't there". The box score tells the facts...Derek pitched awesome. Only 2 hits, 2 walks and 7 strike outs. Only hits came by Berkman and they couldn't do anything with his hits.

I disagree with 100%

You can disagree, but sorry, that was great pitching. (I'm not a fan of either team, just a fan of baseball.) Holland was awesome.

And so far, this has been a fun series. I hope it makes it to Game 7--not much better than that! :thumbsup2

You are so right on all points--Beltre was awesome! and I freaking love baseball. I know a lot of people knock it because it's slow, but honestly that's what I love about it.

The pitching by CJ is sucking butt tonight!! We almost went to the game, but I'm glad we saved the $600!! I'm hoping they pull it out, but it will be a miracle the way they are playing tonight.

CJ Wilson is a beast in the regular season....but he sucks in the post season. He's a free agent this year...wonder what he'll get. I used to want him to stay a Ranger, but if this is what he does for us in the post season I just don't care.

Now, now....keep it together woman.:lmao:

I think someone passed clumsy pills out to both teams before the game tonight :confused3.
