2011 Weddings

I wonder who (if any of us!) will be getting married on the same day as Prince William and Kate Middleton? princess:

I thought this too!! Royal weddings are usually mid-week (except Charles' to Camilla which, I think, was a Saturday). They are talking about spring. I really hope it's not 4th May (which is a Wednesday) as this is my VR day and I want to watch Kate and William!!

All updated! Welcome to the new brides and grooms!

Torsie - are you serious? You're all done? You're lying right? You've still got heaps to buy and plan and everything right? :lmao: Wow, I had better get my butt into gear!

Well I'm pretty much done.

I've not bought my bridesmaids jewellery, although I do have a set I love for them. And I need to buy glow sticks for the DP and make T-shirts for the trip.

Other than that I'm set......I think........

What's left on your list? I bet seeing yours I realise I have LOADS left!

Hmmm let's see...

I have to:
-Finish printing menus
-Get welcome letters, itineraries and folders ready
-Buy 3 more things for everybody's welcome bags
-DH needs to order his tux
-I have to go to my alterations appt (it isn't until the end of Dec.)
-Make labels for welcome bags
-Put welcome bags together
-Print and finish programs
-Buy crinoline and shrug for dress (doing that this week)
-Reserve rental car
-Buy groom's gift

Still a lot, but Thanksgiving is a long break and we aren't going anywhere and not having anybody over, so I am going to work like a maniac to get it all done. :surfweb:

Eeep! Just realised that when my pen drive died I lost my To-Do list!!! :scared1:

I have a paper copy, but I think I'll type it in when I get home...

Hey! My names Vicky my wedding is March 10th 2011! Right now I'm booked for an escape wedding But I'm trying to upgrade to a wishes wedding because i doubled my 20 person limit. Originally i was going to have my reception shades of green a military resort to save money. But since i really want to get married @ the pavilion I'm going to do the whole thing at Disney. I'm new this website i made an account yesterday, but if anyone can help me out with choosing a reception venue. i would really appreciate it. I have abt 40 ppl, i want space for a DJ and a good dance floor. I was looking at the Napa room does anyone know about how big it is, and if it might work for me? if not i love the Atlantic Dance hall but my ceremony is at 5 and they don't do receptions past 6pm on Thursday i was told. Also we looked at the living sea salon, i really love the idea of it! but i don't really care for the way it's set up. i need help I'm stressing out and running out of time! So if anyone has ANY advise it'd be really helpful. Thanks

:welcome: Congratz on the wedding first of all. Have you thought about possibly having it in one of the ballrooms. I'm having about 30 people for my wedding and I'm having the reception at the Whitehall room & patio at the GF. It's nice and it also has an outdoor patio. If nothing else why not give your planner a call and ask them what venues they might recommend for a reception of your size. HTH. :goodvibes:goodvibes

We just received our planner for our 11/10/11 wedding! Finally getting real now! :lmao:

Hi everyone!

I'm pretty new here, but since this was titled "2011 weddings" I thought I'd fit in...
On our last Disney trip in May, we got engaged on the Tower of Terror! It's our favorite ride, and we got a picture of the whole thing! Of course, we have to have a disney wedding!
We are getting married September 25 at the S&D!

I look forward to getting to know you guys!!

Time has really disappeared since we signed the LOA until now.
Everything has been decided on and RSVP's are getting in plus people are booking.

Just a bit more!:dance3:

I have not been on the boards in awhile and wanted to stop in and see how everyone else is doing with their planning!

Recap I am booked for a Disney Dream Castaway Cay wedding on 11/1/2011, 10/30 sailing! We are so excited!

:love:What I have done so far:

:love:Had an awesome engagement party hosted by my parents!

:love:Sent out my wedding invites in October, we worked with Uniquelyinviting.com, they were wonderful! Since we are doing the destination wedding route I designed passport invitations with Tracy and Yamina from Uniquely Inviting! They came out wonderful and it has added so much excitement for our guests!

:love:Got my wedding dress, TODAY....well ordered it, totally beautiful!

 We picked out our photographer who we will be bringing on the cruise with us! We are totally thrilled to be bringing someone so we can go over what shots we want, etc. BEFORE getting on the ship :)

STILL need to do:

:flower3:Welcome bags, but hey we got time!

:flower3:Order my wedding make up, I am doing that through Mary Kay...

:flower3:Borrowing my veil from a previous Dis Bride, she was generous enough to tell me I can borrow it! Thanks Lisa!!!

:flower3:Keep booking guests, I believe we are at 6 rooms right now...hoping to have 20-30 friends and family for our wedding!
