Just got a call from my Wedding Planner!! I missed it but I am soooo excited!! I feel like I have been waiting forever for her call! Her name is Meri. Has anyone had her before??? I can't wait to get all the planning started!!

I have Meri! I talked with her for the first time just a week ago, so I don't have any feedback for you. But others said she and Alex are really great.

I'm getting married 3/13/11 @ WP/ADH. Yay for all the 2011 weddings! Thanks for putting this together, I wish I found it sooner.

We just had our wedding planning appointment w/ Michelle and I feel pretty good about it.

A few things I took away:

You can edit the catering menus line by line - don't forget to remove the extra desserts to reduce costs (who needs cheesecake and wedding cake?)

The flowers are making me nuts. Has anyone priced out flowers yet? What are the relative costs for orchids, hydrangea, daisies? Scared to get that budget!!!

Also, I thought I could get away with a 2 tier mad hatter cake, but it doesn't seem possible. Why would they even give you the option of a sheet cake if you can't get a sheet cake? They remove the fondant anyway and serve the cake w/ butter cream so no one would be the wiser. AHHH! $500 in extra cake!!!

The final thing was the photography. I was pushing for the 6 hour package, but it was recommended I get the 8 hour one instead. Compelling argument about the brilliance album being included. How much does the brilliance album run individually? It's really nice, but is it worth it?

Any thoughts on flowers, photography or cake would be greatly appeciated!

Mianat - our weddings are so close together! Are you going to do a PJ? I love reading along with other brides that are at the same stage as I am.

I'm sorry, I lost track of the boards for a bit.

Did you have your appointment yet? How did it go? Mine was finished in 2 1/2 hours yesterday, but I'm still replaying all the details over in my head. It's a ton to cover in so little time.

We're looking at an early December Wishes wedding in 2011. Maybe Dec 7th, or the 14th. We'll see...

We are still unsure about where to have the ceremony (I'm leaning towards SBP), but we do like Tamu Tamu, the prop warehouse or the Tower of Terror courtyard for the reception.

How are you ladies all doing?

I've had my BEOs through from both my planner and florist. The floral one was pretty much what we were expecting, so that was a great surprise, but the wedding one was WAY over!

Had a budget review call with Meri last week, and I'm hoping we're going to be a lot closer to what we were aiming for once the new BEO comes through. We've also managed to take like $900 off floral as a few bits were in there by mistake where I think we had a bit of confusion over the phone.

So just to say that wen your BEO comes through and you're like "HOW MUCH?!" and get really downhearted, it is SO easy to move some stuff around, and not sacrifice anything important. We certainly got carried away in our PS adding things we hadn't even considered before, and now with those things (petal cannons, tulle draping, fairy lighhts etc) cut down we're going to do great I hope.

I was proposed to at Chef Mickey's in 2008. We have planned and booked our wedding for Jan. 4/11 at Disney's Sea Breeze. We leave in 123 days (Christmas Day) and will drive to Florida from Halifax, Nova Scotia (36 hours away).

Are you from Halifax??? That's 3 brides from Halifax getting married within 5 months if you are! We're Feb 15, 2011 at SPB. Crazy!

She was our wedding co-ordinator, she is really amazing, we loved her and were both sad to say goodbye when we knew it was almost time to get our planner.

Luckily we love our planner too, but we both said "wouldn't it be nice if Kristi could be our planner!"

We had our site visit with her and she's great.

Hi all;

We dealt with Kristi also when first booking. We will be driving to Florida from Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada (32 hours total). We will leave on Christmas day and arrive on the 27th. Our wedding is booked for Jan. 4th @ 2:30pm Sea Breeze for a Escape wedding. We are now dealing with Tanis Armstrong and she is wonderful. Only 108 more days until we leave. I can't wait!!!!!!

Yes I am from Halifax. We leave on Dec. 25. That is exciting. We will be going back down in Feb (12-25) for the Canada Game break. Im sure there will be many Nova Scotians because of the 2 week break.

so, I posted on here a while back. wanted to update everyone. We were selected for our first time choice, 5pm, at SBP on May 16, 2011!!!! We booked our resort reservation on Thursday evening for POL FQ for 8 days/7 nights! Sent our information to Micheele Gilhooly and we are hoping for our LOA sometime within the next week!!! There is so much to do and we can't wait to start planning!!!
