Does anyone have a clue/guess as to what the 2011 WDW promotion will be? I'm just anxiously waiting since this year's promotion (GAD) ended a little earlier than expected.

I'm not sure of the specifics but it's supposed to be more akin to 100 Years of Magic and Where Magic Lives with a stronger emphasis on history/past/nostalgia in the marketing. Looking at the two mentioned campaigns.. i think it's a safer bet to say it has to do with "Magic."

Who Knows What EVIL Lurks In The Heart Of Disney Marketing?!

When Disney feels ready to implement their next promotion they will do so. If other recent promotions have been any indication, for about the first month nobody will really understand it and the Marketing people will not have thought out all the ramifications.

I heard the new promotion, it's:

"Give Disney a paycheck, get a Disney headache."

They are pushing the joys people get when they fork out their cash for a Disney vacation that is getting more and more expensive for a lower-quality experience ;)

That actually got me to lol.

Read the 40th annivesary board, ive already talked of how it might be "Let the Memories Begin", i'd hate to repeat myself, likely there will be a new parade and castle show for this promotion.

Seeing that it is still summer, now they are wanting people to plan to come for Fall or the Holidays.

As we get into Fall and school starts they will want people to plan thier Holidays and into the Winter, 2011.

I fixed it.

I don't think its going to be called "Let the Magic Celebration of Disney Dreams Come True Begin" thats way too many worlds to rememberfor a theme park promotion, "Let the Memories begin" fits with the past promotions: "What will you Celebrate" and "Year of a Million Dreams."

Year of a Million Dreams started in October 2006 and went to December 2008.

What Will You Celebrate started in January 2009 and is going through the end of this year. (GAD promotion was adder to this promotion, not a truly new separate iniative.)

My guess is, you won't here anyone with anywhere near the correct guess until Disney announces it late this year...I think at some point they will bring YoaMD back because it was pretty popular, but not yet. Don't think they will devote a lot to acknoweldge 40 years, though. (They haven't done that since 25th anniversary.)

They announced GAD Sept, so maybe we will hear something soon, the celebrate them is blah at best it seemed to have a muddled message being combined with GAD. I would imagine they will the 40th something theme, maybe it will tie in with the expansion. KWIM? Like Dreams to come, or the magic continues...or the best is yet to come...popcorn::

I know it is all conjecture, but a 40th celebration could be just tied in to the celebrate without a high cost of signage....hmmm...will keep an eye on this thread because I love to know what is to come...so I can get excited for the next trip...drat Disney marketing:rolleyes1

I think we will not know until Disney wants us to know too;)
