2011 Holiday Tour. Who has booked and when?

Sorry if this has been asked, but would a 7 year old like this tour?
There was a little girl on our tour who was about 5 or 6. She seemed to enjoy most of it but did get a little bored and restless about halfway through. We did the HMH, train and SW all in the last half and she seemed fine for all that. Our 15 year old was a bit bored by the talking parts but he generally loved the tour and the front row seating for the parade!

I think a 7-year-old would do fine on it. There's not do much downtime in between things to see and rides to go on. Maybe the first hour would go by a little slower for him or her, but after that shouldn't be too bad. Once you make it to Haunted Mansion, it goes more quickly from there.

Thanks fellow NorCal-er! I think I will try to get us booked for the 19th :goodvibes

Yeah, I think it's worth it just for the rides, parade seating, and hot cocoa alone!

Thanks everyone for all this feedback! DD is almost 5 and after reading all this I'm really not too worried about her. She's pretty good about just following along. I'm going to assume she might get a little restless at some point after the fudge and before the rides start. I know once the rides start she'll be into it!

I made our reservation last night for the 3 pm tour on 12/17 - my birthday!! :santa:

I am so excited! Since my birthday fell on the weekend before Christmas this year - the tour was a no-brainer. I'm thinking it's going to much more crowded than we are used to on our Christmas trips, which we usually do during the week!

Knowing the seats will be there waiting for us helps relieve the stress of getting a spot for the parade.

Can't wait!

Hi Vicki

Have a wonderful birthday, I have added you to the list on the first page.

Just booked - so excited!!! :cool1:

Just hubby and me - Monday Dec, 19th - the 3pm tour. :cloud9:

Thanks for the great info. here. I have never done a tour, and had to get my Disney rewards Visa back in working order - but I just couldn't resist!

Thanks for the feedback on parade times vs dining reservations. I have a reservation for Blue Bayou at 6:40 the same day we go on the 3:00 tour. After reading input from this thread, I made a BB reservation for the next night as well. Once I talk to my sister we can decide whether to cancel the first one or keep it and see if we need the second as a backup plan.

Hi Mary

You will have a wonderful time. Christmas at Disney is amazing.

I am booked:cool1:

The last big puzzle piece is done. After 18 months of planning, all I have left to do is pack and get on a plane.

I am so looking forward to enjoying the parade on the holiday tour

Yes!!!

You know, on a side note, I find that a great deal of the fun of going to DLR is the planning and anticipation! Sometimes, by the last week before my trip, I get kind of down and I finally figured out that I miss all of the planning and when the planning is done I worry that my trip won't live up to all of my thinking about it! So far that has not happened. Now that I understand that the process is as much a part of the fun as the trip, I don't worry so much in that last week like I used to.

Hope you have a great time!!
