2011 Holiday Tour. Who has booked and when?

We're going Dec 14th at 3pm for 4 of us. Booked it about the 16th - no problem getting in then. Sounds like it'll be fun! Cookies and cocoa! :woohoo:

Just got here. Did not go to parks but picked up park ticket at will call and they let me pick up my tour tickets at same time. My tour is not until Thursday.

EDIT - I WAS TOTALLY WRONG!!

I am lucky you posted this because I was convinced that the CM I made our reservation with said we meet at the tour garden, and just have our confirmation number. I am so glad you posted this although I don't know how to help you!

This is what the CM told me too! no need for tickets, just show up at the tour garden about 20-30 minutes early with our confirmation!

we will be in the parks that day, so not a problem either way, just wonder which is the correct info :confused3

Thank you! I swear I am losing my mind! But what if we were to show up without tickets - we would miss the tour by the time we went out and got them. I actually did call, but I wasn't really confident in the answer I got from the CM this am - hard to explain, but he didn't sound very definitive. He implied I had to pick up the tour tickets.

I will probably call again just to see what answer I get.

we need someone who has gone on the tour to give us an answer I guess since the CM's don't know :lmao:
we have taken tour's in the past 2004 & 2005 and I don't remember getting tickets, we just showed up at the tour garden.

I did the tour a couple of weeks ago and we didn't get tickets ahead of time. When we were coming in, I stopped by just to check in and they said we didn't need to pick up tickets, just come back about 15-30 minutes before, which we did and all went well. Have fun!

We are booked!!! Called to book for 1/1 3pm tour, I called exactly at 8am today and it was already gone :confused3 but I had a back up day in mind so it worked out. Me and my family are booked 12/30 3pm tour

I booked the 3 pm tour for Saturday, December 31, 2011. It will be me, DH and DD (8)!

I asked the CM about picking up tickets early and about the inability to get our tickets in the event the park closes gates (since we're going NYE and all).

Regarding early pickup: She said that sometimes the computer will allow Will Call to print the tickets early and sometimes it won't, so that's why some people are successful picking up early and others aren't.

Regarding park closure: She said Disney has to maintain a certain cushion of people they have to be able to allow in. So if someone has Club 33 ressies or a tour reserved, those people can get in. If someone is in the park, the gates are closed, and they need to pick up tour tickets, they can be escorted to Will Call or they can pick up at City Hall!!

So, I'm excited to surprise my DH and DD with this tour. I think they'll both really enjoy it - especially the reserved seating since DH usually has to balance DD on a ledge so she can see the parades!

Called yesterday and made ressies for the three of us for 12/12... they said they had tickets for 1pm and did not mention 3pm... I didn't know to ask! is that going to make a huge difference...? :confused3

from what others have posted....there are no "tickets" just show up about 20-30 minutes before your tour at the Tour Garden and have your confirmation info with you!

the only difference is it will be darker during the parade so it will have a different feel than the earlier one with the lights....maybe call to see if they still have 3pm available

Great information. Added you to the list also.

I haven't booked yet, but we plan on taking the tour at 3:00PM on Saturday, January 7th.

I called today and they assured me that they will be offering the tour through January 8th.

I took the tour last year.
- No, you don't need tickets
- Yes, you need a confirmation number.
- Yes, you give them the confirmation number at the gazebo next to town hall and they give you a holiday tag (last year it had Princess Aurora on it) to tie onto yourself. That is how they identify the group and keep you together!

Oh no, we were planning to book a tour either 12/31 or 1/1, I hope they're not all full yet! I guess I better get on that right away.

Ours is booked for January 7th at 3:00 for myself, my mom, DH and 2DD (ages 8 and 10). I am really looking forward to this!!!

Another Holiday Time Tour question......

Are we able to cancel and get a refund? The main thing I am worried about is rain. We went to DL last year on December 19th, for DD's birthday, just a day trip. It rained, and I mean POURED miserably the entire day. Almost all the fun Christmastime stuff was canceled, fireworks, all parades, including Christmas parade, etc.

So, the question is, if I book the tour, and it is raining that day, can I cancel it? One of the biggest reasons for booking the tour is to get that great seat for the parade. But if the parade is canceled, then what?? We were so disappointed we missed all the fun stuff last year, we want to make sure we see it this year.

Will they let me cancel that day and get a refund if it's raining?
