So is there a listing anywhere of what we KNOW is sold out?

I called yesterday to check on a few events and the CM said the Citricos Signature Dinner and the French Lunch (Champagne) on 11.6 was sold out. The 11.4 French Lunch (also Champagne) was open. The Taste Shake and the Tequila Lunch we were thinking about were still open. I was surprised at that. We are waiting on friends to decide if they are coming towards the end of our trip or not but I do not want to wait too long so I may book another event today.

All I booked so far was a Hendricks Mixology Deminar on 11.5 and I am waiting a bit to book PFTS on 11.5.

They were very helpful at the email address with helping me figure out why I wasn't getting mailings...my TIW card is tied to a two year old AP, which is then tied to an old address!

OMG! How in the world did you people EVER deal with that "XXX" awful system

I hung up on the first man after having to spell my name THREE times. Let's get real.. it's a very SIMPLE name.

So then I got guy 2. Who at least had a clue, but it took him forever to find the event..... Buth he then claims PFTS for 10/22 is ALL sold out... And keeps trying to sell me the cheese seminar.

Of couse I can still book it online but can't get the Wine View Lounge online and I really somehow doubt it's "sold out"

Third call. Woman starts out telling me PFTS for the day I want is sold out.... I call her on it saying I can book it on line. She does backpeddle. PFTS is open. According to her Wine View Lounge is sold out for 10/8, 10/15 and 10/22.

This may have made my decision. I may be staying in Vegas

Heads up for those who will be fooding and wining on the following weekend:

Vice President Joe Biden will be attending the Florida Democratic Convention being held at Disney’s Contemporary Resort October 28-31, 2011.

Biden will be giving a speech as part of the convention on October 28, 2011. Expect delays in transportation to and from the Magic Kingdom and in particular to and from the Contemporary Resort due to increased security measures. It’s likely they will limit access to the Contemporary Resort entirely during his visit as they have done in the past with such visits. Do not expect to visit the Contemporary “just because” or for shopping that day.

Delays with the Magic Kingdom’s transportation system will be due to the proximity of the Contemporary Resort to the bus drop-off and the requisite motorcade when the VP travels. In the past these events have caused significant backups with the buses attempting to pick-up/drop-off at the Magic Kingdom.

I wonder if his visit will be a problem for anyone who happened to book the California Grill signature dinner on October 27. Obviously they are not going to say when Mr. Biden is arriving or where he is staying if he's staying.

On the 28th I'm just sticking to Epcot.

Thanks for the heads up on the VP. We're staying at BLT/contemporary for our trip (and it's that weekend).

I'm at BCV...so no problems getting to Epcot from there at all. But for those staying at the Contemporary/BLT it's definitely worth knowing so you can expect transportation problems. Monorail might be OK for getting to Epcot; let's face it, most of us want to be at Epcot, right?

Should I be concerned that I still can't see my reservations on line? My credit card transactions went through on Tuesday, so i'm not too worried but it's still irritating. And I hate calling.

I am having the same issue here.....its irritating! The 3 deminars I booked are on there but not the 3 special events....ugh!

A LOT of guests are having the issue where one or more of their bookings is not showing up on line. Those who call are being reassured that their reservations are still there. If your charge went through and you have a confirmation number I don't think you need to worry about it. I'm not worried, and my tequila lunch isn't showing up online. Kouzzina shows up but it doesn't say Kouzzina - it has a number on it. But it's there, the time is right and so is the date and confirmation number.

I have 4 events and three deminars. They all show up except the tequila lunch.

Catherine, my breakfast ADR at Kouzzina, which I've had for months, now shows a number instead of "Kouzzina" (and for awhile it had some special title for one of Cat Cora's signature dinners -- I knew that wasn't right - not at 8am in the morning!! ) Sounds like Kouzzina is having an identity crisis!

According to the announcement he will be there to give a speech on the 28th...it doesn't say he is staying for the whole convention, and he probably isn't. I'm betting the plan is that he is going to give his speech and then he will go off for the next thing he has to do. The big production will be getting him in and out. You may see other politicians...but probably none that will need the security procedures accorded the Vice President.

Having trouble deciding between Geraldine on 10/30 and David Guas on 11/6...any comments on those who've seen them before? much appreciated...

We enjoyed Geraldine but she kept her recipe very very simple and more than half was pre-done and not explained in great detail. The wine rep spoke for a much longer time than usual. I liked that her recipe was versatile and achievable by a home chef but there wasn't anything exciting.
