2011 DISers Halloween Party Dates & Costumes List

nik76 and halfwaynowhere, I have added you to the list on the first post.

dolphingirl47, I have updated your costume choice for both your Party dates.

Belle Ella, your choice of costume is too cute. I would love to see a picture of you in it.

KBelle5 when you post your Party dates, I'll add you to the list.

Sherry, thanks for answering Craigdarroch's question. I just couldn't get on the DIS yesterday. You are the greatest.

Thanks for changing this for me.

Thanks again Sherry... we're all sorted for our vacation

Thanks also to funatdisney for adding me to the list for Oct. 31st... it's official, bought our tickets today.

This will be our first Halloween in DL (last year we spent it in WDW).

I will have to update once DH and I decide on costumes :)

Right now I'm off to wave at the Disney Wonder as it pulls out of the Port of Victoria... can't tell you how thrilled we are to have a little piece of Disney sitting in our harbour right now (well... a BIG piece of Disney actually) :)

I will be on the Wonder on October 2nd. I can't wait.

Corinna

So I am curious about the Oct. 7 Halloween party. How come no one is going? We have the shortest list. Is there something that is keeping people from going that night?

Goodness I haven't been here for awhile!

I'm going on the 30th as Alice with a Peter and a Mary Poppins
, the 14th as Esmeralda with Clopin, Soundsensational inspired Snow White, and a female Johnny Depp MadHatter
and the 28th as Sally with a Vidia, Castor, and Rapunzel, not too sure on everyone else =)

Think it's just coincidence. We would go on the 7th if we could... probably not as busy as actual Halloween night. That's the only night it's on during our trip though.

Trust me, the fewer people at the MHP the better... you'll be thankful if fewer tickets sell for that evening.

Haven't booked the tickets yet, but it's ALMOST official. We'll be going on Sept 30 dressed as Aurora and Indiana Jones

We're official!! 10/28 Mickey's Halloween Party! I bought tickets and booked our room tonight!

So far, all we know for costumes is that DS9 will be Darth Vador and DS7 will be Bumblebee (Transformers). DD10 changed her mind (again) about her costume. I'm sure DH will end up with a t-shirt that says 'costume' or maybe nothing at all. :P I'll figure something out for myself, though!

I'm SO EXCITED!!

Bought tickets finally to the 18th for my and the boyfriend. I am still deciding on costume or not, depending on funds as I have to already buy two costumes for two parties and neither would work for DL

We'll be there Oct 3rd with DD4 as Strawberry Shortcake and DD2 as a spider and nephew as Lightning McQueen's driver.

I'll be there on October 31. Never been to Disneyland before.

Oh how exciting!! :yay: You will have a great time! We are actually going to be there the same night. Looking sooooo forward to it!! :yay::woohoo::yay::woohoo:

ETA: As I mentioned we will be going to the Halloween party on the 31st. My boyfriend and I made t-shirts for everyone in our group (4 adults and 2 children). We did a really good job if I do say so myself! lol Our first stop will be for hats of some sort in either DTD before we are able to enter the park for the party or just get some in the park. I don't know if hats is the proper word though -- we will be getting mickey ears or one of the other "ear-type" hats. Should be fun!

The kids have their costumes picked out. I tried to get them to match or be paired but nope. Ds is going to be Mario and Dd is going to be a light up fairy. Dh and I will just be wearing t-shirts. (Mine is a glow in the dark shirt with the Toy Story aliens on it. So I might buy some antennae to go with it.) Only a few more weeks!!!:woohoo::woohoo:

I'm going October 11th!! I am so so excited!! :yay:

It's only my second time to DL and my DD's first time!! She's 7 and adored the Halloween party in WDW last year. She's going to dress up as Ariel (Princess of the moment, her and Rapunzel anyway).

I have a Blue Fairy light up costume. I don't think I'm going to wear it though. While it does go to my knees I'm not sure it's made for a hardcore night of Disney, lol. Maybe. Otherwise, I just got engaged, so I was thinking the bride ears or something like that. I have a couple of Disney Halloween tshirts from last year so maybe I'll just be boring and do that.

My DF (dear fiance!!) will most likely dress as Indiana Jones. But I guess it's possible he'll wear the groom top hat.

Decisions, decisions! Two weeks from last night we'll be there!!! :dance3:

Less that two weeks now until we leave for DL :cool1: :woohoo::dance3:
Our friends came over last night and we spent the night working on costumes! There is 12 of us coming down, our family is going to be Flinstones, 1 family is doing Peanuts and the other Alice in Wonderland.

I can't help but giggle when I think about the Airport Screeners, can you imaging seeing all the stuff we are bringing via the x-ray machines .... not to mention coming home, with all the candy :lmao::rotfl2::rotfl:

We'll be there the 31st as well. Still not sure about costumes. DH says we should go as "Canadian tourists visiting Disneyland". He's so creative :sad2:

To those that have done MHP: When you have kids do adults trick or treat as well?

Everyone can TOT, including the adults. The four of us, 2 adults and 2 kids intend to TOT the night of the MHP we are going to. It's one of the few times that you as an adult can go trick or treating, and it's a blast. On my solo trip to DL in Oct/10 I went to 2 MHP's, and ended up bringing home 20+lbs of candy. Heaven help us when we go on Friday with the 4 of us trick or treating at the MHP we are going to.

LOL! My boyfriends dad wanted all of us to go as hockey players but ya, we settled on shirts instead. No way I'm wearing a hockey helmet the whole night!

Definitely! At least at WDW last year, if you were walking through the line you were getting candy. I was holding open one bag for my daughter and the CMs would tell me to open my other bag (MY bag). We had so much candy we had to leave a lot of it in Disney cause we couldn't fit it in our bags!
