2011 Discount Predictions

I just found out I missed the free disney dining deal for September. Without it, or a deal that is almost as good, we will not be able to go to DW in 2011.

I know that no one has a crystal ball, but do you think they will offer anymore deals in 2011? If so, what are your predictions?

I am hoping your predictions might give me some hope!

There are currently room only codes available. That might be as good as or better than free dining, depending on your hotel choice and number of people.

Just yesterday I got a Free Dining email, but it is a little different and not as good as in the past.

Free Quick Service Dining Plan if you stay at any Moderate hotel, for stays from 7/11-8/13.

Free Dining Plan (full, not quick service) if you stay at Animal Kingdom or Wilderness Lodge, for the same dates.

I got that one but it ran from 7/1 so it included July 4. Unfortunately, I priced out for us and it's still over $6000 for the 6 of us for a week.

I got a PIN email last week for room only discounts. The dates went all the way to 12/24 with some blackout dates.

35% off values all the way up to 40% off deluxes.

Unfortunately it was sent to someone who went on vacation with my daughter two years ago.

Thanks guys. I am kicking myself for not paying attention to the deals - I was assuming they would release free dining around April or May like they had in past years, so I let my guard down. Maybe I will get lucky and receive an email.

Unfortunatly, the room only discounts that they have available right now will only save about $120 for us since we are planning to stay at a value resort.

I've calculated it out and I think Free Dining would save us about $500 based on what DH & I would pay if we paid for food out of Pocket. If they offer a buy 4 night get 3 free special it would save about $246.

I am hoping that they open up the free dining offer again this year, because it would offer us the most savings.
