Yep, there's music in the lobby ... I hate it too ... probably because I hear it over and over and over again and it's not Disney music.

Not feeling great today. More pain than yesterday and my throat is scratchy. The pain meds make me so sleepy. Slept pretty good last night in my chair. Hopefully tomorrow I'll start feeling better.

Teena - Look at u up and answering Disney questions! So glad you are feeling a little like yourself.

Take Care, hope you feel better tomorrow.

Welcome home!! Hoping you begin to feel back to yourself very soon! Remember to rest and take it easy... I know thats hard for most people but listen to your body and let it heal.

Welcome Back Teena ! Sorry to hear about the pain but it is good you were able to get some sleep with the pain meds. I hope you feel better soon.

I would no doubt hate the music too if I worked there ;) although I am happy to hear there is music for me it just adds something to the whole resort expierence :goodvibes

Teena,
Glad to see you up and about. Get plenty of rest and try not to over-do.

I love the resort themed music too sjs! Esp. WL. But guessed if I worked there, I'd get sick of it, lol

Teena- sleep as much as possible, nature's best medicine. In a few days, I'm sure you will be feeling better-

REST, this board will be here when you are feeling better

Teena- It's so good to see a post from you! I'm sorry you aren't feeling tip-top today, but I hope a little R&R will have you feeling better soon.

Teena glad the surgery went well. Feel better. If you are tired, sleep, it is part of the recovery process.

Hi Teena! I hope today finds you feeling better...thinking about you and sending prayers and positive thoughts. :grouphug:

Hello lovely BC folk,

After our wonderful but brief visit last autumn for breakfast at the BC, we decided to include it as part of our return Split Stay this year. :goodvibes We even bumped into Teena and chit-chatted with her although I didn't realize who she was! Needless to say, I've very excited about our upcoming stay.

Question regarding "Water or Pool View" (<-- edit, sorry):

I know requests aren't guaranteed but I was wondering if I put in for "Top Floor, balcony, lake if possible" -- is that asking for too much? I'd love to get a quieter room instead of one possibly overlooking SAB but I don't want to be a greedy whatsit asking for the world. Also, are there even top floor water views with balconies or does that just not exist?

Thanks a ton in advance. :thumbsup2

Edits for putting in the correct room category! Duh.

Welcome home Teena :goodvibes I hope you are resting and taking it easy. :thumbsup2

What do you guys think about online check-in, especially when CL is booked?? I am embarrassed to admit I've never used online check-in....part of me worries I will get locked into a room I don't like. I'm the type who haggles at the front desk for the best location I can get. ;) So should I do online check in for our upcoming stay at BC CL??? Right now my requests are full balcony and a daybed. I'd love your thoughts and opinions. :)

Question regarding Garden View:

First, a garden view won't look at the lake or a pool. A garden view will be courtyard, woods or garden only. By listing "balcony", I assume you mean you want a full balcony instead of a standing balcony. You mentioned you don't want to overlook SAB ... a garden view room will not overlook SAB.

If I were you and you want a full balcony, that's all I would request ... just put "full balcony requested" on your reservation. Your request above isn't good because (a) you can't get the top floor because that's club level, (b) you won't get lake view because you booked a garden view and (c) by just saying balcony ... all the rooms have balconies or patios although some of the balconies are standing only so you aren't really requesting a full balcony.

Glad you are staying with us!

Definitely don't do an online check-in. It's far better to ask at your check-in whether you got the requests you want and then ask to be moved to a room with a full balcony! If you have five people in your party, you really don't have to request a daybed since you will get one unless they oversell us on five sleepers. Make sure the full balcony becomes your main request!!! If you are not a family of five and still want a daybed, please remember that most of those rooms will go to families of five so if we are full, it's just not going to happen.

Pain is better today but I'm still so wiped out. I'm sleeping all the time. Guess my body needs it.

Keeping my fingers crossed for a positive result on the pathology so I don't have to go through it all over again!

I have to preface this response by saying that I have not been to the Beach Club yet, but I am going in May and have read the posts here for many months....

I think to get a view of water - you need to have a waterview room. As far as top floor goes - I think that is the club level (maybe other wings of the building would have a top floor but they would be on a lower floor than the club floor- which I think is the fifth floor). You also need to specificy "full balcony" if you want one that you can sit on. They also have juliet balconies that are only big enough to stand on.It seems that most people don't want the juliet balcony.

Maybe others with more knowledge will be of more help with your room requests!:thumbsup2

Especially with Club Level, you won't need the line-avoidance advantage of on-line checkin. As Teena indicated, since you want to make sure your requests were met before your keys are cut, just wait until you get there and find out what your room has.

There is some advice regarding room requests and on-line checkin on page one of this thread (FAQ section).
