Thank you everyone. It seems we had a miscommunication about Club Level and the beds. We have 3 adults going (DH, my, and my mom) and then DD3 and DS who will be in a PnP). We just need 2 queens though a daybed would be a bonus for DD though not needed. Once we got on the same page about needs we are set! Now I just need to decide between Standview and Garden View. The daybed is not as big of an issue as the full balcony (she has it in as our ONLY request) but which category would give us a better chance to get one?

Probably standard view but remember, your view will be a parking lot or a roof. Personally, I'd go with garden.

Teena, did you get my PM?
Can't get Disney out of my head, back to reality is for the birds!!!

No I don't think I did. My box was full and I didn't get some. I cleaned it out and made some room a few minutes ago.

Well, I tried!:confused3
I'm sorry. :flower3: I hope you weren't insulted. I certainly didn't mean to sound that way. I guess those tee shirts are more of a frustration for me. Maybe I'm more snooty than I think I am.. :snooty:

I was going to say I would go with the garden view. If your view is a parking lot of rooftop, would you really want to be on your balcony all that much?

I have to admit that my husband packs fairly well EXCEPT that he packs stupid tee shirts. Oh, I sound like such a complainer, but he is a volunteer fireman, and has a ton of those tee shirts. I hate them. I've threatened him to throw them away if he thinks about taking them to Disney. Okay, slam me now y'all!!

:rotfl: That's great. I am a big Star Trek fan, love anime, etc. and have the convention tickets and stupid T-shirts to prove it. Most summer days I look like a reject from "The Big Bang Theory". DW hates this stuff too. I was planning on taking a few of those shirts on our WDW trip next month but now I think I'll reconsider! I do have a cool Jessica Rabbit shirt (she's in a bikini top and grass skirt, holding a surfboard) that I definitely will pack, though!

My son will be 6 and can swim doggy paddle. He has had swim lessons and is getting pretty good, but at Stormalong, I think I would like for him to wear a life jacket of some sort.

My question is: Will he be allowed to go down the big slide with a life jacket? Seems like I read you have to be a swimmer, so I assume that means no life jacket.

Thanks!

I'm sure this question has been asked somewhere in this giant thread, but I searched and didn't see a response, and just can't read all 188 pages.

I know BC/YC shares busses with BWI and S/D because I've stayed at BWI and done the loop. What I can't remember is when the busses stop at BC/YC and where the bus stop is for them, if they share a bus stop or if they each have their own. I read the first several posts in the thread and didn't see a response, but I apologize if it's posted somewhere that I just couldn't see.

TIA for your help!

Do you plan on requesting both a full balcony and a day bed, or just the balcony?

Book the garden view, and make your request(s). Don't do the online checkin. When you arrive, before you take your keys, ask if your room has a full balcony. If not, ask if there is a room available that does satisfy your request(s)- see the FAQ section at the front of this thread for the whole "request spiel"

Teena- an inquiry to satisfy my curiosity, not necessarily related to this question.

If I booked a garden view room with a request for a full balcony, and there was no gvfb room available at checkin, would I be able to downgrade to a standard view full balcony room if available? Would I be credited the difference in the room price? (which I understand is just a few dollars).

Even if there was no refund for the view category, I would choose to make the change to a room with a full balcony.

To me, the full balcony is more important than the view- I want a place to go with my book, coffee and camera in the early morning hours while I wait for the family to wake up. I don't really care what I am looking at.

No no no no.... I wasn't insulted. Just couldn't think of any other way to get rid of them for you. I just knew I couldn't throw them out, and this way he could never wear them! It just became his Sunday football couch blanket. :goodvibes: I'm ok with that, I guess.

The YC and BC each have their own bus stops, just out the front entrance of the lobby- see the map on the first page. BCV guest use the BC stop.

The buses sometimes, but not always share with other resorts. Depends on time of year, time of day, crowd level.

Yes, you could ask if you could downgrade and get a refund. They would most likely do it if it were available.

The only request is going to be the balcony. I have read up on it and it is a lot more important than the daybed. With 2 little ones, we want a place we can be when they are napping or when they go to bed. I can't imagine laying in the dark at 9pm if we wanted to stay up.

Thank you for asking about the downgrade. I was just wondering that. I wasn't even thinking of a refund just wondering if they would let me.

When you check-in, make sure you ask if you have a full balcony. If they say no, tell them why it is extremely important and if they can't find one, ask to speak to a manager. Tell the manager why you need one and you would even be willing to downgrade if you could get a full balcony. Then of course if they say one is available, ask for the difference in price. I can't imagine they wouldn't give it to you.

It can depend on the lifeguard, but the majority of the time they won't allow anyone down the slide with a lifejacket. Also you cannot wait at the end of the slide for your child. They must be able to swim over to the ropes. The water is about 4 feet deep.

There is a small slide at the kiddie pool. My grandchildren used it when we did our grand gathering and they loved it!

We were at Epcot on Sunday for my bday, and decided it would be quicker and easier to take the launch to BWI, then bus to MK than walk to the front and monorail. I asked the driver who picked up at BWI if they always shared with the other four resorts and he said yes. :confused3

We're going in October for F&W. Is it likely they won't be sharing then?

I'll check the map for location. Thanks!

Had a meeting with the radiation doctor this afternoon. I start radiation 4/25 so starting 4/24, I'll be working Saturdays and Sundays instead of Sundays and Mondays. This will go on for six weeks.

There are three quiet pools at the Y&B. One is by BCV, one is by the BC and one is by the YC. If you are staying at any of those three resorts, all the pools are for your use as well as SAB.

There definitely is a hot tub at the quiet pool by the BCV. I honestly never walked by and looked to see if there was one by the BC and YC quiet pool.

The quiet pools do not have lifeguards and therefore are open whenever you want to use them.

All this talk about getting a full balcony now has me nervous. I originally had booked a studio villa just because of the balcony situation but when we changed our dates no studios were available so we booked gv at BC
I told DH about now being booked at the BC instead of the villas but not that there might be a chance of only a standing balcony.............I can see me now saying Surprise no balcony to him :rotfl:

Another thing I noticed when I rec'd my orginal confirmation after booking my requests were listed on it , but now when I look at it it has changed and the request is not listed. Should I call CRO and check that the requests are still on there?

Yes, make sure you call and get the "full balcony requested" added to your new reservation!!!!

I'm so sorry we're going to miss you this time.:sad1: We are usually always there on the weekend but with the weekend before being Mother's Day weekend we are not arriving until Monday. I hope everything goes well with the radiation.

It is not always true that YC/BC buses share with BWI. In fact if you look at the sign in the line for MK buses YC/BC have one que and BWI/Swan/Dolphin have another. If they do shared YC is the first stop and BC is the second and then BWI. I know it July it seems that they rarely share.
