He is all mine... I don't share very well :rotfl:

Drat! Guess I'm back to packing our own stuff then. :)

Our system isn't too bad, I pack almost everything, keeping a running list a few months out. Underwear, shirts, socks, etc for the DH get packed by me, then he picks out whichever jeans / shorts / pants he wants, and shoes. I might want to mention he has more clothes than I do, so I am not *trusted* to know which of the 12 pairs of jeans he wants to wear. :lmao:

This gave me goosebumps!!!

We have a couple of packing strategies.

1) The suitcases come into the dining room soon after our trip is booked, especially if it is a winter trip to someplace warm. Seeing the luggage really boosts our moods. We add things to the cases for months!

2) I pack for me and the two boys. If we are taking 2-3 suitcases, I spread each of our outfits into separate suitcases. 1 bathing suit for Ben in bag 1, 1 bathing suit for Ben in bag 2. 3 t-shirts for Nate in bag 1, 4 t-shirts for Nate in bag 2. I do this with everything, socks, sunscreen, batteries- everything is split up. So if one bag gets lost in transit, we still have enough to get by.

3) Mark does not do this. All his clothes go into one suitcase. So far we have not lost any bags but it really will stink if all of his stuff ever goes missing.

We had a bag go missing for a cruise one year. It had two tuxedos and two ball gowns in... That bag was worth more than all the other bags combined....I was heart broken, then at the very last minute it showed up and we drove by the airport to pick it on the way to embark on the cruise....

So now he does break everything up into difference bags, for the same reason you stated above..

My DH has more clothes than I do also, but he tends to want to wear the same pair until they are worn out and the rest just hang there in the closet. "They just feel better"

Can you only do one of these? Dining plan or not?

I vote for dinner at the Cape May Buffet. Especially if you are using the dining plan. Really nice selection of food for seafood lovers and landlubbers alike.

If you want to do a character breakfast, the Cape May is a fun one with the characters in beach attire and yummy food. But if the character thing is not important to you, then you can save money and either have the a la carte or buffet at the Captain's Grille. If you are on the dining plan, you may want to make this one OOP.

Let us know what you end up with!

Thanks for the advice.

We are using the DDP and I have one ADR left. I was leaning toward the dinner buffet because we do have a character breakfast scheduled at CP. (this is my favorite so I cant skip it!). I just didnt know which one was worth it.

Ahhh... ADRs are set, now I have to stop thinking so I dont change them. :)

Regarding not wearing a bra for a week: After my first surgery, the surgeon said it might be more comfortable without a bra and it was. When I put one on, it was uncomfortable. However, after this second surgery, I've worn one non-stop because they went all the way to a muscle and she said having that support would help the pain (the pain was different the second time - it was worse). I still have one on even when I sleep and it does help. It was the same incision but the first time they didn't go near muscle apparently.

Very good point. Also, sometimes your skin can become irritated and doctors will advise you to wear loose fitting clothing, thus no bra.

:grouphug:

Re: not wearing about bra post op. I had breast surgery (infection) and was instructed to wear a soft cotton loose fitting bra (sports bra type) only. The doctor said no wires or tight fitting bras as they would irritate the incision.

I hope everyone is doing better and I pray for quick and complete healing for all who need it. :flower3:
Robyn how is your mom doing?

Thanks that all makes sense!

Robyn & Amanda, How are your moms? I had a lot of catching up to do but didn't find anything on them...Hope they are doing well:grouphug:

As for my husband packing, years ago we went on a ski trip to Breckinridge Colorado. My husband packed the skis and he decided at the last minute to split them up so a different skis were paired together in each bag. I get off the plane in Denver and I have the BIGGEST altitude headache of all time. He then gets paged over the P.A. system and was told to go to baggage services, only to be told that they "lost" one of the bags of skis.

So now both of us do not have skis!!

Between the headache and that fiasco I was THISCLOSE to a Momma-cide!!!! :furious:

Is the quiet pool just for guests of the BCVs or can guest of BC use it too?
Is there another hot tub other than the ones at SAB?
Does the quiet pool have the same hours as SAB?

What a face! So adorable. Now you have to teach Dawson to put his toys away!

Why thank you! For those of you wondering, this dog is a pure bred "American Sofa Hound". He is considered to be a "service" dog because he keeps other people from sitting on your furniture, which he considers to be strictly his.

His hobbies include laying on his left side, laying on his right side and eating.

Here is a rare photo of this dog in "action"....

I thank you, my disorganized 12 year old thanks you, and my "never allowed to pack for himself again" DH thanks you!

Thank you for asking. Unfortunately we're still in a day be day situation. I haven't posted about it in awhile because we never know what's going to happen next. She had the second surgery, went back to rehab, and unfortunately started running another fever and had chills last night so they did a blood culture to see if it's another infection. Scary thing is she's having lots of pain in the same knee again so we are starting to hear rumblings of opening up the knee for a third time and replacing the spacers.

Thank you to everyone who is keeping our family in your prayers.

There are three quiet pools at the Y&B. One is by BCV, one is by the BC and one is by the YC. If you are staying at any of those three resorts, all the pools are for your use as well as SAB.

There definitely is a hot tub at the quiet pool by the BCV. I honestly never walked by and looked to see if there was one by the BC and YC quiet pool.

The quiet pools do not have lifeguards and therefore are open whenever you want to use them.

Teena - I took your advice and kept checking for rooms opening up. I was able to get the first nine days back up to gv cl. Still have sv cl for the last six. I'm going to try 1. keep checking to see if the other dates open up for gv cl, of 2. when we check in beg to be able to pay the difference and stay in the same room!

They really were stingy in releasing the rooms. There was apparently only one room available with the 30% discount gv cl. I had to upgrade my in-laws to lagoon view cl. Of course you know they won't let us book the lagoon view because we are the dreaded "party of five"!
