Are they still doing movies on the beach at night? If so is it year round and nightly? We stayed at the GF last November and they no longer do movies on the beach, my girls were bummed. We are planning on staying at the YC for a few days just to swim and hang out at the resort before we swith to GF and the movies would be really nice.

One more question where is the closest place to find mickey waffles if staying at the YC, gotta love the mickey waffles, LOL.

Thanks for your help!

Movies for the time being have been moved to the lawn across from the beach. Not sure about the waffles. I think they have them at both the Captain's Grill and the Cape May Buffet but not 100% sure.

When I was looking at the menu for Hurricane Hanna's Grille I saw that it lists it's hours from 11:00 AM - 6:00 PM, so I was wondering is that the same time 365 days a year?

Can I also assume that there are tables set up around there for those who order Burgers from there?

Re: not wearing about bra post op. I had breast surgery (infection) and was instructed to wear a soft cotton loose fitting bra (sports bra type) only. The doctor said no wires or tight fitting bras as they would irritate the incision.

I hope everyone is doing better and I pray for quick and complete healing for all who need it. :flower3:
Robyn how is your mom doing?

Hi CR Resort Fan! We've stayed at BC three times in the past year (March 2010, July 2010 and February 2011) and I think the hours were relatively consistent each time. Someone else may be able to confirm.

I can confirm that seating is available! Here are two photos I took of the seating area in February:

To clarify, all of the tables with blue umbrellas are available for HH seating (not just the one in front of the towel bin!) During our last stay, guests didn't need to go past the lifeguard "checkpoint" and show your KTTW card/get a wristband to sit at the HH tables in the photos. Hope that helps!

I swear I can't keep up with all the pages...I need more hours in the day...
Update...Just found out that the past three weeks they were supposed to be doing the genetic testing, they were not because of insurance issues...I got that squared away this morning...they should of notified us sooner. They've had the sampl since 3/18, they just told the Dr's office on 3/31????:confused3 Really annoyed when I found out on 4/1 & couldn't call anyone til this morning...let's just say lllooong weekend.
Then I just got a call from DHMC(2nd opinion) that they had their radiologist review the MRI and he did not like what he saw in a LEFT auxillary(lump is in my RIGHT). So, I will have an ultrasound on Wed. after all my other appts.:sad2:
Now off to read 100 pages it feels like:surfweb: Wish I could have coffee:rotfl:

:grouphug: gotta love those insurance agencies.

Re: all the posts about messy children.

I USED to have this problem, with toys, teddies and clothes and shoes strewn about the house.

Wanna know how I ended it???

I got a Toy, Teddy, clothes and shoes, ESPECIALLY the SHOES eating dog!

In an instant all canine "consumables" disappeared from the "public areas" of the house and they now live behind their respective owners bed room doors which are barricaded to prevent "Jaws" from getting them.

Now the only problem is that we NOW have DOG TOYS strewn all over the public areas of the house.

Ya win some, ya lose some!!!

What a face! So adorable. Now you have to teach Dawson to put his toys away!

One day I had enough and told one of my dds not to come out of her room till it was cleaned. I went in for inspection, and still clothing all over the floor, so her response was - "well, I made a path" :scared1:

I know in July HH's was open until at least 9:00. There were nights when we filled up on appetizers from the CL lounge and cancelled our ts dinner. We would go swimming and later in the evening (around 8 or 8:30) we would order from HH's.

HTH.

Oh how I laughed reading the account of your 20yr old son. I can sympathise having been the mother of two DS's who both seemed to have inherited the forgetful, messy, and losing everything genes

You can take solace in the knowledge that one day your son will be someone else's problem, namely his girlfriend or wife. I can not tell you the times I have since had to laugh at my daughter in laws frustration with my sons.

Hey you are right sjs314! Oh he thought he was being funny when he called me later in the day to say he lost his ID again?!?! I told him April fools was over...haha.

Marlton Mom...you are hilarious! And your dog is cute!

I have to admit that my husband packs fairly well EXCEPT that he packs stupid tee shirts. Oh, I sound like such a complainer, but he is a volunteer fireman, and has a ton of those tee shirts. I hate them. I've threatened him to throw them away if he thinks about taking them to Disney. Okay, slam me now y'all!!

Great pics. May I "steal" them to use for a photo slideshow? I will give you credit on the photos.. :flower3:

I will be making my ADR's later this month and I was hoping to get some help...

Should we do breakfast or dinner at the Cape May Cafe or....

should we do breakfast at the Captain's Grille?????

Thanks for your help!!!

No Slam Here..............Too funny, My DH recently retired from the USPS after 37 years but has dozens upon dozens of T-shirts with his union logo and branch number on them and frequently wore then at Disney, I found it amazeing how many times he ran into another Postal employee who would strike up a conversation when they saw his t-shirt but you do get sick of those darn shirts after a while :rotfl:

So I have to tell you that as far as DH and packing goes.. mine is kind of neat.... he always makes a list and starts about a week prior to vacation, he revises it and adds and takes away until the night before we leave.....

He gets everything out and lays it on the bed, and marks things off his list... and places everything in the luggage and then takes a picture of the bags with everything in it, in case it gets lost and keeps the list during that said vacation.

He marks up the list with things he should have brought and things he did not need and will use it as the base for the next vacation.....

He does this with a 3 night or 3 week, same process.

I am not to touch the luggage or the stuff laid out, I am to get my items and put them on the bed and he packs everything...

Can you only do one of these? Dining plan or not?

I vote for dinner at the Cape May Buffet. Especially if you are using the dining plan. Really nice selection of food for seafood lovers and landlubbers alike.

If you want to do a character breakfast, the Cape May is a fun one with the characters in beach attire and yummy food. But if the character thing is not important to you, then you can save money and either have the a la carte or buffet at the Captain's Grille. If you are on the dining plan, you may want to make this one OOP.

Let us know what you end up with!

Of course! Let me know if you need anything else. I have all of the BC Marketplace photos and a photo at the front entrance of each YC and BC restaurant (and a photo of each restaurant sign - the signs are on the front page.) I have a few of the pirate ship slide from different angles and a couple of SAB that Dee has on the front page. I also have a photo of tiny kiddie pool where the playground was located (before they took it down to create more seating.) Happy to share whatever might be helpful!

I'll also take any BC, YC and BWI photo missions for August - so fun! I was thinking of some more detailed photos of the "nuts and bolts" at BC Marketplace. Although if I was the crazy lady in the Marketplace taking photos in February, a toaster photo would really send me over the top!

Do you mind if I borrow him for a week in September?:rotfl:

Have you looked into the online companies who will take old concert / college / etc t-shirts and make them into a quilt? That was my solution for my husband's MASSIVE shirt collection. It looks awesome, with one of his original basic training Army shirts in the middle!

I think I found them on Uncommon Goods' website, and I'm more than happy to PM you the link if you want.

This gave me goosebumps!!!

We have a couple of packing strategies.

1) The suitcases come into the dining room soon after our trip is booked, especially if it is a winter trip to someplace warm. Seeing the luggage really boosts our moods. We add things to the cases for months!

2) I pack for me and the two boys. If we are taking 2-3 suitcases, I spread each of our outfits into separate suitcases. 1 bathing suit for Ben in bag 1, 1 bathing suit for Ben in bag 2. 3 t-shirts for Nate in bag 1, 4 t-shirts for Nate in bag 2. I do this with everything, socks, sunscreen, batteries- everything is split up. So if one bag gets lost in transit, we still have enough to get by.

3) Mark does not do this. All his clothes go into one suitcase. So far we have not lost any bags but it really will stink if all of his stuff ever goes missing.
