Hopefully, someone who has been to Disney during Easter can answer your question.

Families of 5 are given priority for rooms with daybeds. I believe you have to be given a room that is designed to fit your party. The only catch is that any children under the age of 3 are not included in this count.

So if one or more of the people traveling with you are under age 3, then it would be best for you to add a request for a daybed.

Thank you so much for the quick response. We have 3 adults and 2 children (DS will be 10 and DD will be 5) so hopefully we won't have a problem getting a daybed. I'm only up to page 8 on the thread so I have a TON of reading to do. We are SOOO excited to be staying at the BC! We've visited it on every trip and are finally able to book!:dance3:

Crowd levels on Touring Plans show 10 out of 10 for April 2nd until 12th. I've heard Easter Sunday is extremely busy. Pool sounds good to me, especially at the BC! :)

Ocalla, I am sharing your excitement at under 3 months! Look at my ticker! I'm so close to having my countdown start with a ONE!!! When I created it, it started with a NINE. OMG.

Head. Exploding.

Hey y'all

Trying to plan a last minute trip to Beach Club Easter weekend and the week after. I am expecting huge crowds.

can anyone give me info about Easter day? Just trying to decide whether to head to a park or sleep in and spend the day by the pool.

Thanks! Shannon

We were at Disney starting the Saturday before Easter through the week after in 2009 (was second full week of April). Stayed at POFQ. On Easter Sunday, they had a candy Easter Egg hunt at the resort as well as visits from the Easter Bunny and Mickey & Minnie in their Easter best.

We spent the day with family in Tampa but decided to swing by the MK before heading back to the resort. We did a lot with very little crowds. Would say it was 8 pm or so when we arrived.

Expected the worst the rest of the week as there had been park closures the week before Eater, but we never felt it was that crowded. Really an enjoyable, relaxed trip.

Wishing you the same ... and enjoy the BC!

I do not have first hand knowledge but have gleened from reading this board that yes, you can use the coffee maker to just put out hot water. Didn't want your question lost in the suffle of everyone's happiness. Have a great trip on Wednesday.

Thank you! :hippie:

I'm sure you will be fine, but I'd recommend checking the room for a daybed before you head in a start unpacking.

Last September we were given a room without a daybed even though I had requested it with IPO, and we are a 5 + 1. I hightailed it back to the concierge desk and asked to be moved and was told nothing was available and that they would just send up a roll-away. I then asked again if we could just wait for a room with a daybed to open as there was no way I wanted to deal with a roll-away AND a pack and play in our room. After a bit of checking, they found us a room with a daybed and we were good to go.

Sorry to be long winded, but I'd rather you go in prepared :goodvibes

Great suggestion! I think you can ask when you are checking in and the CM should be able to tell you if the room has a daybed or not, before you even head to the room. I suggest that you do not do the on-line checkin, but wait until you get to the resort (see the Page 1 FAQ for more info on this)

We hit 8 months yesterday. Sure wish it was 2, although I'm not trying to rush the summer, but I sure could use a vacation. It's been a rough week.

Congrats on being under 8 months!! :goodvibes I know you hate to wish the summer away, we were like that last year with a late August trip. But you know that whether or not you want it to - summer always goes by way too fast. So in this case that is a good thing!! :cool1:

I just got an email from Tashiana at CL!! Now I'm PUMPED!!!

I asked if I could possibly see any of the Deluxe rooms while there next week (on a non-CL stay) for an upcoming CL stay. She said absolutely if they're not occupied, I could just ask at the front desk & they'd try to accomodate the request.

So maybe I will have some pics for the Suites/Deluxe Room thread soon!

Spotted coming into NYC harbor this morning a Disney ship! I couldn't see which one but I could spot those Mickey heads on the smoke stacks! Coming home from work this afternoon docked right next to the Intrepid... Disney Fantasy!! This is the first time I've seen a Disney ship up close... so beautiful!

Had to share :thumbsup2

I get to go at 4 AM on 3/6 to Port Canaveral as one of the CMs to form the welcome committee when the Fantasy comes home for the first time. I'm so excited. Even getting up at 2 AM, leaving at 2:45 AM to get to where we catch the bus as a group will be well worth it.

And one more announcement regarding the Disney FANTASY: Jeanne and Brian and Princess Lily are going to become an official family. They are getting married on the Fantasy on the cruise which sets sail from Port Canaveral on 6/15/13. If anybody is planning a Fantasy cruise for that time, it will be great to have you on board so you can meet the family!!!!! The planning is going smoothly. Disney Weddings makes it all very easy!

Dee - I'm going to be a bother:guilty:, but we've changed our dates... in the next round of updates, can you move our CL YC stay to the 13th-17th of October? (We found airfare was cheaper flying down on a Saturday... go figure.:confused3) So it's gonna be YC -> GF -> BWI for us. We thought starting and ending on the Epcot side of things would make us happier... plus, this means 10 days in the World for my DH and I, woo hoo!

Now I've got to change all my ADR plans.... lol.:rotfl2:

I heard that Disney was sailing out of NYC now. That's exciting!!! Maybe we'll be able to do one now that we won't have to pay for airfare too.

Yes they are beginning in May! I was so excited when I heard that and I was up early the morning you could begin to book... I felt the prices were really high.. so it might be cheaper to sail out of Florida even adding the airfare.
