This isn't BC related except that I'll be staying there. We have a breakfast reservation at the Magic Kingdom and when we're done, we're driving to the beach for the day. That said, where will we have to park at MK? I'm hoping for an easy in/easy out sort of thing. And before I hit "post", I'm not asking for anything that will break any rules. Just looking for the easiest, "legal", place to park.

The only parking "at the Magic Kingdom" really isn't at the Magic Kingdom, but at the TTC (ticket and transportation center) and then you take the monorail or the boat to the MK. There isn't really an "easy in and out" unless you have it timed exactly right so that you don't have to wait for a monorail/boat.

Hi Everyone! I just love reading these posts. You all seem so kind and funny. I am really looking forward to our first trip to the Beach Club in May. I think I may at one time posted one question here, but I do read you every day. Reading all your comments make me really look forward to our very first Beach Club experience. Thank you all for the wisdom and humor. Oh and the beautiful pictures!:)

Welcome!!!! :yay:

We love sharing everything about the Beach Club and it's neighbors Yacht Club and the Beach Club Villas. We are glad you feel the excitement and anticipation like we do when we think of our home away from home.

Keep peeping and posting, it will help the time before your trip fly by!

I just read somewhere that the laundry facilities at BCV are free (other than purchasing soap) - is this true? If so, that's awesome! I have a studio booked for March & every $2 saved will help!

This may be where you read that- a thread from earlier in the week. AFAIK, this info is correct:

Hello folks! I'm renting points for a few nights at the BCVs and I'm trying to get some assistance. Any input you could provide would be amazing!

We'll be in a studio, which is not equipped with a washer/dryer. I read that there is a free to use, public washer and dryer on the 4th floor. Is this still correct? if it is, is detergent also complimentary or is there a vending machine to purchase some?

thank you for your time! ...i've only been value so i dont know what to expect! :)

It is on the fourth floor. You'll need your room key to get into the room. Studios don't get any free laundry detergent, but you can buy some out of vending machines in the laundry room or in the store.

Hi everyone! Happy Friday... I have to say, I pop on here once a day now and catch up on the 5 or 6 pages that I've missed since my last log on. My favorite part is when I hit "last page" (to backtrack through the pages), whatever is the first thread on that page is something so CRAZY and OUT THERE, that I immediately crack up and can't wait to back track my way to figure out how the heck you guys got on THAT particular subject. So entertaining...

Anyway, I do have a question. I have noticed in some trip reports from those that have stayed at BCV that they have towel animals every day. I am confused, as I thought that housekeeping on comes twice during the week you are there.....

Can anyone shed some light?

Oh, and thought I would pipe in my own "GO PATS!!!!" Enjoy the game!! :cheer2:

If you are a vacation club member or staying there on rented points (not paying $$), then you are correct that housekeeping is not every day. However, you can pay extra to have housekeeping every day.

If you are staying at the BCV and paying $$ instead of points, then you get housekeeping every day and thus the towel animals.

Ah, I get it now. I am staying there on rented DVC points. How is it that I pay for hk every day? Is that something I request at check in? Do you happen to know how much?

Thanks for your help!

Very sorry ... one of the vacation club members will have to tell you. I'm not sure about the cost.

I know. It's an addiction.

It's been two weeks since weeks since we were at WDW. Told the DW that I was planning no more trips until she gave me the green light. Our son is getting married in June so everything was put on hold.

We were sitting here last night and she asked was there anyway we could swing going to WDW the week after the wedding so we could just get away. Y'all know me. Go book it and figure out later how to swing it. So after sitting at computer all day and looking at no discounts, historical discounts, different resorts, DVC options, dining availability....I went ahead and booked BC CL Standard for the week of 6/18. (Hey. Today is her birthday and who am I to deny her birthday wish).

So ticker is up again. I know. It's an addiction. Had to tell folks that understand :grouphug:.

Thank you for the welcome :). I would love to be added to your list. My dates are May 22, 2012 until May 30th 2012. There will be 5 of us ( 3 college kids and 2 parents ( me and my husband). Thanks again.:)

The new menu on All Ears shows that the key lime pie is back at the Captain's Grill. If anyone is going to be at BC soon could you check out the menu for me?

Sounds crazy but I was soooo disappointed last year when they took the key lime pie off the menu. It was so good!

Teena - is anything going on with Cape May Buffet. I couldn't get an ADR there for either breakfast or dinner at the 180 day mark.

So cool Mike. You'll be there when my family and I will be there! Perhaps we run into you at SAB! Congrats and yeah, it's addictive!

Robyn- For you:

A lot of people are saying they can't book Cape May (both breakfast and dinner). Strange, but at least it is not just you.

I'm looking for some recommendations for nice location/reasonably nice view standard rooms at BC. First, I know that a room request is just that, but I'd like to hear your thoughts. :)

The last and only time we've stayed at BC, I didn't have any room requests, and left it to the luck of the draw. We had room #1532, ground floor, right next door to a laundry room. At first I hated the location because it seemed like it took forever to get there (even longer when we would come in late and exhausted! ;) ) I did come to appreciate that it was right on the end next to the villas and closer to EP.

Any good locations come to mind?

Dee - you are making me hungry just looking at that pie! I really hope it's back.

Another strange thing is there are no dates available for Narcoossee's either. I wonder if they haven't released all the restaurant availability for some reason. Of course the FDP haven't been released yet but that happens a lot. Never had it happen with a regular restaurant.

I couldn't get mine either...the cast member I spoke with told me that some restaurants lag behind in loading the open window into the system...keep checking...they are currently booking through 7/7....:confused3. So frustrating because it's the last one I need to get!
