My question: they now have a "garden view" club room listed. Anyone stayed in that room type? I'm wondering where those rooms are. (Yes, I know on the fifth floor.). But are they overlooking the back exit, just on the side; or are they on the front side of the building, overlooking the Port Cochere?

Giving your question a bump so I can appease the DIS board gods and get one more post in to move my ticker up closer to 10,000 (they should have a rule on those numbers like they do with no Floor 13 in a hotel tower).

Sorry, never did CL so I won't be much good at which rooms will be GV.

Teena, have a great cruise. Make sure the Captain isn't "entertaining" young lovely guests at dinner and not doing his job.

I don't know about Tastycake ... but Hostess makes Twinkies and Drakes makes Devil Dogs. Those are 2 separate companies.

We're all learning something new today - Hostess owns Drakes! I didn't realize that either, but wiki told me so....LOL....

:rotfl2: Good luck with the quest! I don't know how these post counts get sooo high. I feel like I'm on the Dis all the time & I'm only in the 3,000's. :rolleyes1

But thanks for the bump. That always help get an answer. :goodvibes

I saw that. Never knew. I do know that my sister can get things under the Hostess name out in IL, but can't get Drakes...or she couldn't in recent years.

Thanks for the research!

Speaking of Hostess, etc...one of my coworkers had Ring Dings and Red Bull for breakfast this morning. I'm so glad I don't sit next to her anymore because she tends to get a bit nutty when she does that.

I've been DISing since 2005, but there are big breaks in my posting because when I knew I couldn't go on a trip for a while it was a bit depressing to follow the boards. If didn't take those big breaks, I'd probably be over 10,000 already.

Haha! Then I guess I won't find any at that store. I truly have no idea. Saves me trip. Thanks! I know that Hostess just filed for bankruptcy last week and for some reason while reading the article I thought they were the same.

There is a lack of Hostess in Florida, I could not find twinkies or dingdongs to save my life back in September. So they only do certain flavors of Tastycakes and they don't do Hostess, What do they eat in Florida when they have a preservative and sugar craving?

Hi! Haven't been on here in awhile since we're planning DL this Dec., but I think I almost have DH convinced to do a quick 4 night trip in May. The Spring code shows availibility @ YC club level (our favorite). My question: they now have a "garden view" club room listed. Anyone stayed in that room type? I'm wondering where those rooms are. (Yes, I know on the fifth floor. ;)). But are they overlooking the back exit, just on the side; or are they on the front side of the building, overlooking the Port Cochere?

We stayed in a king bed club room in Sept that was supposed to be "water view". It was the first room behind the elevators near the concierge desks. I was very surprized it was a water view room as you really had to stand at the rail to see any water. Betwen the so-so view of the lagoon & the Love bugs, I felt I wasted my money on the water view. So thinking of going for the Garden view this time.

Anybody have any room numbers or locations of the Garden view club rooms? Thanks!!

I have never stayed at the YC, and I am not very familiar with the resort layout, but a lot of people seem to like a gazebo view when they stay YC CL GV.

Does anyone know if that is towards the back of the resort? Or side?

See that's the thing: the fifth floor at the YC does not go the whole length of the building. There are far fewer rooms on 5 than on the other floors. I don't think the fifth floor has any rooms that overlook the gazebo, which is in the back of the building. Hoping anyone who has stayed in GV CL can tell me for sure. Thanks for your thoughts! :goodvibes

I believe the GV/SV club level rooms are either on the opposite side of the hallway from where the OP stayed (left after elevators but on the same side of the CL CM desks) they probably offer less of a lagoon view, and no view of SAB OR along the far hallway to the right of the elevators, left side of the hallway.

That's from my understanding of the layout.. HTH!

Hi Everyone! I just love reading these posts. You all seem so kind and funny. I am really looking forward to our first trip to the Beach Club in May. I think I may at one time posted one question here, but I do read you every day. Reading all your comments make me really look forward to our very first Beach Club experience. Thank you all for the wisdom and humor. Oh and the beautiful pictures!:)

I just read somewhere that the laundry facilities at BCV are free (other than purchasing soap) - is this true? If so, that's awesome! I have a studio booked for March & every $2 saved will help!

Welcome!!!! :yay:

We love sharing everything about the Beach Club and it's neighbors Yacht Club and the Beach Club Villas. We are glad you feel the excitement and anticipation like we do when we think of our home away from home.

First off I apologize, as this is completely off topic... but you all are so helpful and so many travel much more often than my husband and I do....does anyone have experience/suggestions for Hawaii? My DH and I are looking at potentially going there this September for our anniversary... and I have never been nor do I know a darn thing about it!

I don't want to spam the board, so if you have any information, I'd greatly appreciate a PM.:goodvibes

TIA!:thumbsup2

Disney's Hawaii cruise or Disney's Hawaii Resort of course!

Hmm, the Hawaii resort seems to be a bit out of our price range at the moment....but I didn't know they did Hawaii cruises... I'll have to look that up. Thanks!:goodvibes

This isn't BC related except that I'll be staying there. We have a breakfast reservation at the Magic Kingdom and when we're done, we're driving to the beach for the day. That said, where will we have to park at MK? I'm hoping for an easy in/easy out sort of thing. And before I hit "post", I'm not asking for anything that will break any rules. Just looking for the easiest, "legal", place to park.

since you'll be at MK you'll be parking at the TTC. you can take the resort bus back to BC. but to return, you'll have to take the bus back to MK, then get back to the TTC. - but there could be a few other methods, i'm sure others will chime in :) good luck!

after reviewing my answer i may have missed the mark. are you going to particular beach, or the beach club?
