Much to the chagrin of her teacher-mother, Lily learns how to shoot spitballs from her Nanny Teena:

Look out, Pop-Pop!

Love the caption! :rotfl: Lily is such an adorable baby.

I'm bummed about the Test Track refurb, but what can you do? We love the ride, but I'm also concerned about what it will do to the FP situation at Soarin'. I guess the closure will just force us to spend more time in the Innoventions buildings, which I have wanted to do anyway.

Looking like April according to this site but I can't tell if it's a major closure, or they are just re branding everything to Chevy.

And no, this doesn't really make a lot of sense to me. Why limit the amount of exposure to your company's brands, and close down a very popular ride.

I guess they might be making some ride changes as well, who knows.:confused3

Either way, looks like you're probably OK for your trip!

Thanks for the link!

Glad TT will still be open when we are there, and since it is a major refurb it gives us an excuse to get back to WDW. :)

Considering upgrading from POR to YC for mine and DD8's Jan 29th week at Disney. On Allears it shows pictures of Illuminations from a YC room.

Which view or where in the resort would we need to stay to be able to see the fireworks from our balcony?

I looked at AllEars to see the photos and it says those are from room 2069. Here is a link that should show you where that room is located at the YC.

https://www.room77.com/hotel/disney...1.15.2012&r=1&g=1#building=&room=2069&window=

Click on Floor Map & Views tab and then on the right hand side, enter room # 2069

Hi everyone! We are booked for our first stay at Beach Club March 1-11. Previously, we've always stayed at the Poly but thought the kids might like to try out SAB for a change. If possible, I'd love to be added to the noodle list. I think most of our stay is open except the last 2 days which if fine. Can't wait to get to know you all.

Sure, I have added you to the Be Our Guest list for your dates and to the noodle swap for March 1-10. Can you try to get in touch with polynor, who signed up for the noodles on March 10, to see if you two want to arrange a meet or if you just want to return them to Bell Services on March 9 or early March 10. If you don't connect with polynor, then just return them to Bell Services.

We look forward to hearing from in the next couple of months, too!

I'm actually now considering upgrading to Club Level as a surprise to my DH!

You can officially change us over to Garden View Club Level (BC) on the list! I upgraded us yesterday! So much for keeping it a surprise for my DH... I'm so bad at keeping secrets & lying... as soon as he questioned me about acting suspicious, I let the cat out of the bag!

Congrats, and see you in the lounge!! :)

I think I'm not going with the DDP. Especially with one day on the dark side, and taking advantage of the lounge, I think it will just one more thing to juggle.

Next on my list: putting together a welcome basket for the kids! Definitely will be a cap gun from Frontierland and the Guide to the Magic books I think.... Anyone have any links to any ideas?

Thanks to everyone for you info on how to get from the BC to The Dark Side. I am weighing all possibilities and I'll make a decision this week. I am going to book a towncar to get us from the airport to the hotel so we can stop at the grocery store on our way. I think I might make reservations for them to take us to IOA also. Also, Can you put us on the visiting list. We will be there from March 20-25. Thanks.

Made the change on the Guest List.

Wow, you gave up that secret even quicker than jenneth79 did!!! ;)

That's what we did. We used the same town car service between the airport and our hotel and between US and Disney

Adding you to the list. :)

Hello! I have booked our first stay at the Yacht Club from May 26th-June 2nd. We are very excited! My parents are coming with us this time (they are 60) and I think the YC theming will appeal to them. I also think my girls will really enjoy SAB. They will be 11, 9, and 6 when we are there. I'm thankful to have found this thread. My girls and I have been drooling over the pictures!

Many, many thanks to all for your wonderful advice, links and maps as I obsessed about the differences between the Yacht and Beach Clubs!

But all that obsessing was for naught (that'll teach me). We had decided on a garden view, and only the Beach Club had GV rooms available with my PIN/Spring discount (they were the same, lol), so ... drum roll ...

we're Beach Club bound from 4/15 - 4/22, and very excited!

I did request a "quieter" room. We'll see where that gets us :)

Now I'm off to obsess about what hotel we'll stay in for the two nights before the BC, when we're visiting SeaWorld! (I'm really, really trying not to obsess over that one...).

Have come to our last night at BCV's. Been another great stay. Our whole group finished our marathon races. My feet really hurt tonight but I made it the whole 13.1 miles today. I started the second leg of our relay in MK parking lot and ran (waddled) through AK and DHS before passing by our belove Y&BC. DW had finished the first leg of the relay and returned to the front of BC to cheer me on and that really helped the last mile. Made it to the front of EPCOT for the finish.

For our reward we all had Cape May for supper tonight. Ate too much again. Any weight advantage that may have been gained by walking 13.1 miles was easily negated at our seafood pig out. We did EMH at MK tonight so I pretty whipped right now. Took quite a few pictures while I was here so will try to post a few when I get home and settled. So better get some sleep for our travel day tomorrow. Till later.....

Could we be added to the noodle swap for Nov 3-10? Thanks so much!

Adding you to the lists! :cool1:

Congrats on completing your run! :worship:

Mmmm- Cape May.

Hope you got lots of rest last night, safe travels and can't wait to see the pictures after you get settled.

On a recent post somebody was talking about getting a towncar instead of a cab. I need to arrange transport from "The darkside" to the YC, but what is a Towncar, and whats the difference? :confused3

TIA from a Brit :)

Livery Service

A town car is a private car or "limo" service one can hire. Unlike a cab, you hire them in advance and arrange times for the transport of your family. They tend to be a little more expensive than cab ride, but not necessarily so.

I think this link mentions a few services.

Transportation: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2494908

A couple of the ones I can think of off the top of my head are Tiffany Town Car and Ed Korgan travel. Check out websites and more importantly see if you can search for reviews of these services.
