Wow, we must've posted at the same time. LOL, and in yours was the answer to my question after I had looked around for hours! Thanks so much. Good luck with your day...
Hi there again,
I have a question that I have not been able to find an answer to here on this thread. As I had said in my intro post, we are checking into BCV on 9/8, but I am thinking that we may fly in the night before and perhaps stay at Pop or one of the other value resorts for the night then go check in at the Beach Club in the morning (It takes DS a day or two to recover from that 3am wake up to make an early flight, so thought this may be a good alternative). Do the Disney resorts transport your luggage from resort to resort for you, or am I dragging it myself from Pop to BC?
TIA for the help!

Hi Susan!
We've switched resorts before, and plan to do lots of it during our 2013 trip! Bell services will transfer luggage, so you could just ask them to transfer it to BC in the morning. But it's not likely to arrive at BC for a while (I read that transfer time is around 3 or 4pm, and that some don't receive their luggage until 5pm or later.) If that's OK with you, it would be convenient to let Disney take care of it. That's what we plan to do for our crazy resort-hopping trip - my husband agreed to it, as long as I promise to let Bell Services transfer the luggage every single time. But I should mention that I've never stayed in the villas, so maybe one of our resort-hopping villas experts can confirm whether there are any differences in the process!
The other option is to grab a cab, take your luggage with you to BC and check in before heading out the parks in the morning. Even though your room isn't likely to be ready, all of your stuff is there at BC Bell Services and available at any time of the day. And if you have any particular room requests, it seems it's easier for CMs to accomodate those if you check in earlier in the morning. (Although you could always check in early and allow Disney to transfer, so your luggage just follows you later.) We've done it this way in the past, and it was super easy.
Heather, wow - those photos are wonderful and heartwarming. What an amazing gift from Joseph.
Teena, we'd love to see you, but we'll keep our fingers crossed that you're sailing on the 7-day Magic in April!
Glad you got your answer. Sounds like a smart plan.
Just wanted to comment about the clever location in your profile.
I'm north of the city.
Or raining! This route saved us a couple of times from extreme heat and drenching rain.
I don't really know anything about the villas. Is the path you are talking about here? Do you just continue on past the Beach Club building?
For those of you who have missed this on page 1- here is all you need to know about the "Secret" Entrance to the Beach Club. The important thing to remember is room 1501.
Step-Saving Super Secret Entrance to the Beach Club
There is a side entrance/exit to the Beach Club which takes you mere steps, probably 3 minutes, from the International Gateway Entrance. It is near room 1501.
This was really handy for us a couple of times this summer when it was wicked hot and when it had just started pouring.
You have to go through a lot of hallways to find it, so the best way to do this is to follow the signs to room 1501 from the lobby.
Here are photos of the exit door near room 1501, the pathway and the gate to the "secret entrance"

For all my praying friends out there. Please say a little prayer for my sister in law in Altamonte Springs, FL. Her name is Hannah and we just got word that she is in the hospital and just got her appendex taken out in emergency. We are moving plans around and heading to the hospital to go check on her.
pas130,
Happy to see you here! Those photos are wonderful - what a great view of SAB from your suite!
Will that make a shorter walk for the BC rooms as well not just the Villa's?
I posted on my facebook that I had one of those overwhelming moments of emotion. And of course Joe caught it on film. We were watching the fireworks on the patio of Rose and Crown and Charlie came up behind me and wrapped his arms around me after looking at Joeseph soo excited about the view. It was one of those moments when all the hard work, medical issues of the year and all the stress just melts away and life is just wonderful.

Do the accessible (roll in shower) CL rooms at BC have daybeds or only the two queens?
Trying to figure out if we need one room or two.
Thanks!
Teena,
We will be arriving Dec 18th around 1:30pm for a Beach Club CL stay.
Will you be working on Sunday afternoon?

Yep, I'll be there. See you soon!
If you must have a room with a roll-in shower, you need to book the room with the special needs department. They will have to check. I think there is only one roll-in shower up on club level and I'm not sure of the room category or whether it has a daybed or not.
If you ask your itinerary planner, she/he can call the CL room assignor and verify how many there are, the actual category they are in and what the bed configuration is. But the room assignor told me that to be absolutely certain you get the roll-in shower room, you must book it with the special needs department.
Teena - I called and spoke with the special needs department and now I'm confused.
First, the CM asked where I got the number I called and said it's not a number guests are supposed to use (I've used it many times before and never had anyone question or tell me not to use it?).
Then, she told me there are NO roll in showers on CL.
Should I call back tomorrow and hope for a more helpful CM?
(I haven't heard from Itinerary Planning yet, so I have no one to contact there.)
