Sitting here on my huge balcony overlooking islands in the sea sipping my coffee. All is well!
MM OUTSTANDING FOOD PORN. Saw it before boarding plane. Is it wrong that I am more tempted by the chocolate cake than the guys.
As suspected no sleep on midnight flight. Our king bed room was not ready at 7am but they gave us another room until it was ready at 6 last night. Finally good nights sleep after 39 hours awake. But hotel delivered champagne and choc strawberries just after we fell asleep.
Snorkled yesterday so so. My main camera died. Fortunately brought backup. Not as nice but it will do. Rainforest this morning. Have a great day all!

Booked the holiday at the Beach Club, the dme trip and the flight why does it never feel real until you do all of these?

Wanted to post a little about our BC stay before I forget the details! We enjoyed our stay and would recommend Beach Club to others. Thanks for the info you all shared before our trip!

Thank you very much for the report and the pictures. They were great. For some reason, those foggy mornings are really special, aren't they? Glad it all worked out for you in the end although I would imagine the shower curtain will be hard to forget. Thanks again. Love living my Disney vacations vicariously through other's trips.

Thanks GetGlowing. Great report and great pictures. Love the location of your room. That was waterview wasn't it? Sitting on patio watching the people and boats would be perfect for me.

Agree about shower rod. Not acceptable that it was not repaired. Hopefully you'll get one of those 'back home' surverys and can let them know. If not you can email them at wdw.guest.communications@disneyworld.com and let them know your problems. (They really need to know so not to repeat)

Dee = 39 hours without her sleep. We all know Dee likes her sleep. Sounds like all is good now. Enoy the rainforest and rest of your trip! :thumbsup2

Thank you all for providing me with such an informational board. I enjoy reading everyones thoughts. Question about the BCV's. We are arriving on April 14th to the BCV's 2 bedroom. Wondering what our chances were of getting a room with two queens in the second bedroom. I realize they are for DVC members first. Do they give them to non-VC members if they have ones available? Thank you in advance. :)

Did you put it as a request on your original reservation. If not call reservations @ (407) 939-7429 and ask them to add as a request. Then do not do online check in. When you check in ask the CM if your room has the dedicated 2 Queen. If not ask if one is available. I see that this is toward the end on spring break/Easter week so there may not be a lot of availability but I don't know the % of 2Q to sleepers . Good luck and let us know how it goes!

Just got home from welcoming the Fantasy to its home. I sent videos of it to MM and hopefully she can post them so you can all see. The fireworks as the sun was rising ... it was incredible!!!!

Loved all of the photos GetGlowing and mini trip report, it really is helping me get excited about our trip!

Regarding the little mishaps, that totally stinks! For the money that these places cost (more than the vancouver four seasons on our honeymoon), these little details need to be fixed! I understand that mistakes happen but the fact that your shower request went ignored is unacceptable. Glad you had a nice time regardless!

Thanks Teena, Pixarmom, and Mickey&Minnie mom for the replies about SV CL. We had a corner SV CL room last year that only had a juliet balcony, but that had an awesome MK fireworks view, so I think I'll put in a request and maybe we'll be watching the MK fireworks from a balcony this year instead of the window! I should just say I'll be watching them, because the kiddos can't ever stay awake that long! If only they slept as well at home as they do at BC!! ;)

Teena.....can't wait to see the video of the Fantasy!!

GetGlowing....loved the pics and mini trip report! The foggy picture of the castle is great!! and the foggy pictures of the lake and beach area look so peaceful! I'd like to be sitting in one of the beach chairs right now enjoying a cup of coffee while the fog burns off! I see that you're from NE TN...I grew up in the very NW mountains of NC, so I was probably your neighbor over the mountain! :goodvibes

I think I'm at the 200 day mark today!!! :yay:

Great thanks! Nothing like a cold bud light lime by the pool in 80 degree weather ;)
We've always packed beers in cans in a bag type cooler, filled it with ice and brought it to the pool. No one has ever said anything negative to us about it. I usually order at least one girlie drink but refuse to spend that much on beer for the hubby. ENJOY!

I love the foggy pics! Thanks for posting GetGlowing!

Isn't the ship beautiful?! Can't wait to see the video! It must have been so cool to be chosen to welcome it home!

Teena: Can't wait to see the video! I'm sure you are looking forward to cruising "her".

We used to have a Disney Store here in Lafayette, and I became friends with some of the CM's (I must have visited the store 5 times a week!!!). Well one of the ex-CM's (the store closed) still works in the mall and told us last week that she will be on the Fantasy in November!!! that Lucky Dog.

We are all counting down the days to visiting you again in May!!

MM: I forgot to ask you what that dessert was in your pics??? It looks so darn good!!!

GetGlowing, thanks so much for the photos! It's just about one month before our YC stay after many years at BC, and now those BC photos are making it difficult for me to stick to my pledge to try YC! (But I will stay strong!)

Dee, so happy for you and really looking forward to your full report - you know Las Casitas/El Con is at the top of our list of new resorts to try! :)

Beach Club is booked 27th August until September 5th! :thumbsup2 Can't wait to start properly planning now.

Yes, it was water view. It really was a super location if you don't want to do much in the central part of the resort (Stormalong Bay, dining). I think Epcot is closer to that room than the lobby, in all seriousness. I did complete the survey when I got home.

It was foggy all week! And definitely made for some good pictures. Like this one on Main Street:

Howdy, neighbor. We know the NC mountains well. We have a Miata and can't seem to stay off the twisty roads in the springtime.

I love the foggy pics! Thanks for posting GetGlowing!
You're welcome! It was an interesting morning. It was like somebody stole the Castle!

You'll be close, so you can visit. :)

I've got a standard view booked and am totally fine with the views (or lack of lol) that come with that as I tend to just relax in my room with the door open to let some fresh air in rather than sit outside on the balcony (assuming of course I'd get a full balcony) in the sun.

My agent has requested a room close to the elevator (based on my health needs - I have a hidden condition but I will not use a scooter), apparently Disney have confirmed my request based on my health needs, can anyone advise what sort of standard view I would end up if my room is located near the elevators?

Thanks :goodvibes
