Does anyone know how late you can order room service? We will be arriving late on Friday, Jan 28th...we are staying CL, but I don't think we will make it in time to even grab a snack there. Our flight gets in to MCO at 7:40...I csn't imagine that we will get to BC & get checked in & ready to grab a bite before 10pm.

I'm pretty sure you can order room service 24 hours a day. There is a more limited menu for late night offerings but still plenty to choose from.

Thanks! Someone else suggested walking over to Picabu at the Dolphin. Does anyone have an opinion about that?

No opinion on Picabu. However, they serve some nice food at Crews Cup until midnight ... it's next to Yachtsman Steakhouse.

That is a great idea - I hadn't realized that. Are kids welcome in the Crews Cup at that time of night?

It's Disney World. Except at Victoria & Albert's kids are welcome everywhere as far as I know. V&A is the only place I've ever heard as far as restaurants where you can't take children. Of course there are the nightclubs but Crews Cup is a lounge that serves dinners too.

We stayed at the BC for the first time 8/18-28 and had a lovely stay. We found it to be a beautiful, well maintained resort. We stayed in room 4682. It was close enough to the main elevators, standing only balcony and no daybed. Next time I would request closer to the laundry rooms, I do a lot of laundry and it was a long hike.

The staff was exceptional.Every person we encountered during our stay was helpful and friendly. We had the pleasure of meeting Teena. She had a short conversation with my children on the importance of staying hydrated, and drinking water and juices instead of soda. Thanks to her they stopped begging for soda at every meal.

It was HOT HOT HOT while we were there. We LOVED Stormalong Bay (would have been nicer if the water was cooler) and spent most nights and one full day there. I think the bus service from BC could use a little improvement. It seemed to take us a long time no matter where we were going or coming from. Sometimes stopping at Swan, Dolphin, Boardwalk and YC. We had one really annoying bus situation during our trip. After having dinner at the Wilderness Lodge, we planned on taking the bus from WL to MK and then another bus from MK to BC. Well after 15 minutes of waiting for the MK bus we saw a bus that said it was going to DHS, we jumped on that one, planning to then take the boat back to BC. That bus took us to Fort Wilderness. After the bus emptied and we were the only ones left on it, the bus driver asked us where we were going. We told him DHS. He said he is no longer going there as they were closing in 10 minutes. He said our best bet would be to get out at FW and take the bus to MK and then on to BC. We got out and waited and waited and waited....40 minutes later when no MK bus came we asked another bus when we could expect one, he told us that no busses run between FW and MK. Ugh. We finaly took a bus to DTD and after stopping at 4 resorts made it back to the BC. Total travel time was 2 hours and 20 minutes.

We did Deluxe Dining and ate at a lot of signature restaurants and a lot of table services. We did not have to wait more than 5 minutes for any ADR. That was a big improvement from our last trip. We at at Captains Grille our last night and had the best server ever. Just so friendly and attentive. Her name was Jennifer and she was from Cincinatti Oh. I have already written to Disney about her and several other cast members who really went above and beyond.

This thread has such great information in it, I feel like I knew exactly what to expect and I got it. Thanks to all who contribute. Teena, I hope you had a nice visit with your daughter.:goodvibes

Now I will have to deal with the post Disney depression until our next trip is booked.

Logged in this afternoon and couldn't believe this great thread was on Page 2 of the thread list :scared1:

So I'm posting to put us back to the front and because we have 12 days 'til we'll be in our happy place celebrating our 13th Anniversary and staying at the YC (a.k.a the darkside) for the first time!! :goodvibes

Have a Fantastic trip and Happy Anniversary!

There is a menu listing for the Crews Cup on the allears website. It looks pretty fancy, but YUMMY!!! I haven't seen anything similar on DIS, but if anyone does know of a menu listing on this site, please let me know and I will put the link in the FAQ section.

So glad to hear you were pleased with the CMs at the resort.

Wow, that is totally unacceptable about the 2 hour 20 minute return to the BC! I'm so sorry that happened to you!

Is Crew's Cup Lounge on the dining plan? If so, is it a snack or table credit?

All signs point to "NO".

Crews Club is not listed on the allears list of participating restaurants or the DIS listing, which appears to be a printout of the brochure guests on the dining plan receive.

Teene, do you have different information or could one of the CMs at the YC confirm whether the Crews Club accepts DP for anything. Thx!

They are not on the dining plan.

I know these questions must have been asked already somewhere on this thread.

Is there WiFi service available at the YC?
Is there a fee?
What is the fee?
If there is a fee, is there anywhere that the service is free?
What do you have to do to get the service?

I just got a laptop and I'm thinking about taking it with me in Dec.

Looking at some of the satellite photo views (one of my favorite tools for figuring out stuff about WDW), it looks like the Yacht Club parking lot is quite a bit smaller than the Beach Club lot, even when you consider that the BC has more rooms because of the villas.

I'm curious if any YC guests have experienced parking shortages? I'm there next week (yay), during a slower time of year.

Also, it looks like if the lot were full, it's possible to drive straight into the BC lot without going out and around through the guard shack, or needing to raise an arm with a key card. Can anyone confirm that this is indeed the case?

Many thanks.

Yes
Is there a fee? Yes 9.99 I believe

we could never find free servce anywhere at YC in June. Tried several spots.

There is no free internet. There was in the past but it was a trial. You can pay for and get wireless in the lobby of both the BC and YC. You can also get internet service (pay for it) in your room. If you stay in one of the suites, you get free internet.
