Hi,

When I stayed at the BC a few years ago I had to walk to the YC to get coffee early in the am. I want to say they were open around 6. It was a small little area that had coffee and a few baked goods close to the YC lobby. Does anybody know if that is still there and what the hours are? Besides making coffee in my room are there any other alternatives? I know about boardwalk bakery but I kinda want something quick at the resort. I may just resort to making coffee in my room this trip although I hate to do that, I am sooooo spoiled with my keurig.

Thanks a bunch!

Jill

That bar still serves a continental breakfast...or at least did in May...but I don't know the hours.

BC Marketeplace opens for refills with mugs at 6:30 am. Opens for sales at 7am. Room service is another early option.

Thanks for sharing the photos!!! They're great!

I have a couple of YC room photos up on the first pages. Would you mind if I used your bed and the chair photos as well? I can credit your screen name, real name or not at all.

Please let me know!

Thanks again! Dee

HI,

We are booked in a club level suite at the BC end of October. This is our first trip with our 2yo son! We are very excited....if he only knew what to expect! Some questions....Are the club level rooms in a certain area ? What rooms have the best view/location? We also want something quiet (so our 2yo son isn't woken up during nap/sleep). IS there a certain room or view/area we should request....Also are there balconies in these rooms and are they off of the living room or the bedroom??

Thanks !!!!

Can't answer until you are more specific. We have the following club level rooms at the moment:
club level garden/standard view room
club level deluxe room
club level lagoon/water view room
club level one bedroom suite
club level two bedroom suite
club level vice presidential suite
club level presidential suite

Once I know what you booked, we can answer your specific questions.

Those chairs are not in every room ... actually they are in very very few rooms.

I have a question that I have not been able to find an answer to, I currently have a 9 day Park hopper ticket on my package but will be upgrading to AP since I will be taking my Mom for bday trip next May. Can I upgrade at the BC or do I have to go to the park? Do I just pay the difference between the ticket I now have and AP? any assistance is appreciated.

janloz, you must go to Guest Relations at a park (even the water parks) or DTD to get an AP even if it is an upgrade. The International Gateway is very convenient for this purpose when staying at the Y&BC/BCV.

Great job on the pins. What a generous thing to do for everyone. :grouphug:

Thanks for letting me know. I did look up the hours on allears and it was saying 8, not sure how accurate that is. I didn't realize the marketplace opened for refills at that hour.
Thanks again,
Jill

Thanks for the quick response. We are planning dinner at Tutto our first night so I can upgrade then.

Thanks for the compliment. Glad to do it. :)

Just out of curiosity, what types of breakfast foods were you WANTING to have at like, 6am?

They sell cereal, juice, bread, etc. in the marketplace. There are fridges in the rooms. Couldn't you have purchased some cereal and milk, and eaten in your room each morning? That's what we've done every trip where we didn't stay Club Level...it's not a big deal. You get enough in your stomach for a few hours, then get a snack in the parks.

Many people who stay at the YC/BC (or most other resorts, in fact) do this all the time.

well, no microwave makes the fridge not as good of a feature
My husband likes eggs, biscuits, sausage, hash browns, pancakes, etc. One of my kids would eat cereal but the other is more like her dad. But both of them do much better with protein, grain and fruit to start their day. If I am going off to start my day I eat breakfast, a full one. Especially if I know my next meal won't be till 11 when I have lunch reservations in a park. So yep at 6 am I want a full breakfast. We knew we would have to do table service to do this and upgraded to Deluxe dining plan so this was not going to be an issue. But we didn't know that nothing would open till that late.

I see BCV23 already answered your question but I was just going to say that we upgraded one day tickets (from last years 7/4 deal) to APs at the IG guest relations and it was quick and easy. You just pay the difference between your tickets and the AP. If you want to get the TIW after you get the AP you have to go to the next booth over!

Also, thanks so much for the pins - I asked Teena to put one away for me for our February trip since we love, love, love BC/YC!

Did you know that you can request a microwave (free) at any of the deluxes. Sorry you were disappointed but it doesn't seem like any of the ts restaurants offer a full sit down breakfast at 6 am. You might have been better at a DVC resort where you have a full kitchen. For us CL or ordering from garden grocer was plenty. We are not huge breakfast eaters and only scheduled 3 sit down breakfasts for our 17 day August trip.

Wow! Really? You can request a microwave? I didn't know that and wish I had. DH has stomach problems and he has a better day all around if he can eat his plain, boring oatmeal for breakfast. It doesn't turn out quite the same heating the water in the coffee pot. I must make a note of this and check into that next trip. Of course, next trip we're thinking about splitting a stay between moderate and deluxe, but microwave some of the time is better than not at all.

Great to know. I wasn't planning on getting TIW until the May trip since we have Dlx dining this trip but it might be good idea incase we grab lunch at SAB or something at B&C and are paying OOP plus we are paying OOP for Cape May our last morning. Something else to think about. ;)

I have grown to love BC and i haven't even stayed there yet. :rotfl: I am looking at renting BCV points for May trip or hoping for good AP rate that we can stay at BC. I will be proudly wearing my pin in 16 days.

Here's a question we thought of yesterday:

2 ressie stay, due to pin code covering 6 nights of a 7 night stay. So, we have a 1 night stay, then 6 night. Both BC. Both same type of room. Do you think we'll be issued 2 sets of cards (1 for each of the 2 ressie numbers)?
