2010 news from the Magic

Yes prices are very expensive I totalled mine up and well still on the floor, :scared1:

Deposits I presume will be $500 pp, but if booked online it will be 50%

If you call direct deposit s full price.

Andrew can I clarify

You think if I call (despite the huge phone bill deposits will be $500 per person)

If you book online its 50% of the total price

Did anyone else see this at the bottom of the Eastbound Repo page:

* $99 rates are available for third and fourth Guests traveling with two full fare Guests in the same stateroom. Rates valid for stateroom categories 4 through 12.

:yay:

This can't be right, is it?

We were thinking Med cruise, but with the prices they announced and the itinerary? Probably not. I'm not all that hot about Tunis and Corsica. If I take the mid-range price for a Cat 6 for the 8/7 11-night Med for 2 adults and 2 kids, it would be $14,136 before taxes and surcharges.

An RCCL 12-night Greek or Italy Med in a Superior Balcony for 2 adults and 2 kids is $9,759 including taxes and sucharges.

For that price difference, we'll go RCCL.

Yes, I did notice that and yes I hope that is right.......:thumbsup2

I think he meant 50% of the deposit. DCL is running a special right now that you get 50% off your deposit if you book online rather than calling.

I'd love to do another med cruise since they changed some of the ports, but the price...heck no! Can't do that. Rather do RCCL and save a butload of cash. I'm extremely dissappointed in disneys pricing as compared to other cruise lines. Once again they show that the almighty dollar (or whats left of it) is more important. I really think they have lost their minds. There was no magic today for this disney fan.

DCL has to be counting on people in the UK and western Europe, with strong currencies relative to the dollar, booking these cruises.

I hang out on Cruise Critic enough to know that many people like to spring for fancier cabins on cruises - sometimes saving up for their "once in a lifetime" trip. But many of those people are retired. For a family with young kids to spend the equivalent of a year of college for a 2-week family cruise is unthinkable to me.

It looks like the only Disney cruise my family of 5 will ever do is the 3-day we have booked for Nov. 2009 - in two cat. 12 cabins for just under $2000!

That's what it was for the TA cruise in 2007.

NCL Jewel for the exact itinerary- Baltic Capitals

2 adults 1 Child
Mini Suite - $7018
Balcony - $6318
Oceanview - $5118
Inside - 4518

2 Adults 3 Children
2 bdrm AB Suite - $12,734
2 bdrm Courtyard Villa - 15,134

The AB and courtyard suites are SOOOO wonderful! Flawless service and they really spoil you.

Question for anyone who cares to answer... The only one of the special cruises we'd even consider is the westbound TA. We will have a one year old at the time though, and I'm wondering if the flight to Spain is even worth it. I wish we knew the itinerary for the rest of the year, so I could decide if we'd rather just do a "regular" cruise. In any case, anyone have any thoughts on flying transatlantic with a one year old?

Also, where are people finding pricing? I couldn't find anything on the DCL website

I know!! :cloud9: DH and I had a A4 Courtyard Villa on our Med cruise in 2006. The service and Courtyard perks were awesome.:)

For all you DVC members...I just called to find out about points etc...

They do not have them available, but will be out before booking day. However, you can book through DCL and then transfer your ressie to DVC if you choose to use points to pay for a portion of it.

On another note...lets not drive up these prices AT ALL. Teach disney to overprice their cruises. Please everyone use one method to book your cruise.
I know we all want the best and lowest price!

Is the deposit refundable?

Cat 4> Cat 12 I understand its refundable at this stage, up to 90 days pre cruise, but that might change, But it is transferable, again up to 90 days PIF date.

50% deposit I understand will run to October 31st but I havent had that confirmed.

Cat 1>2>3 is not refundedable

I'll be on a Royal Caribbean cruise on the 14th, in a cheap inside cabin! :lmao: You won't have to worry about ME driving up the prices, as I am not even remotely tempted.

I think that everyone will book but that closer to the date that people will cancel.
