Baltic Rates

Holy cow - prices STARTING at $3649/pp for a cat. 11 on the Baltic cruise! Apparently Disney didn't get the news about bank failures, the government bailout, Wall Street losses, etc.!

Managed to navigate my way around now.

I was disappointed that the only thing they said for the TAs was starting at $999 per person. That is a steal, no? I am guessing that the TAs will be cheaper, if not less than the 12 night European Capitals cruise?

Any opinions on that?

Anyone else interested in the TAs? I think we may try for Sept. since we'll be cruising with no kids.

Yikes! Those prices are a little scary, and I'm sure they are tier 1 pricing. I wonder if DCL will be able to fill the ships with those prices in this economy. I'm hoping for some serious price drops as the cruises get closer, otherwise I will have to keep waiting for a DCL cruise . I am dying to do one, but I could do multiple cruises on other lines for the same price, and at this point I just can't justify it...

The itineraries do look great though, I might have to look into the transatlantic a bit more... I do love sea days!

Looks like I had it prity well sussed, bar I thought Harwich and Southampton more likely than Dover,

Looks just like my 12-night Royal Caribbean Baltic cruise in 2005 - except it leaves from Dover and goes to a port in Germany. It's also twice the price! No thanks, DCL.

WOW About $20,000 for a cat 6 for a family of 4 for the Baltic. Not including airfare. Not going to happen. We love a verandah and won't cruise without one anymore. We really use it alot. Oh well.

It's still early, but I am hoping for westbound. With the exception of airfare to Spain, the TA's look pretty reasonable.

Anyone know what FPO stands for on the Baltic rates? The Med cruise rates don't have that.
