2010 Mom's Panel Results along with lists of Round 2 & 3 Participants

I guess great minds think alike!! :rotfl2:

OK, next person to ride Haunted Mansion with Magic2go -- make sure you get the car in FRONT of her so you can knock her! :rotfl:

Oh, good -- my contribution to you for all the good you've been doing on this thread helping to get us all together and doing the QOTD.

I hope you get your DD! If you really want to scare her (I forget her age), make sure you knock hard, loud, fast and multiple times! It's funny when you get a good shriek!

Marshay, My DD is married and expecting her first baby! She loves scary movies and things so I really don't think it will completely freak her out but I hope to at least get her attention!:scared1:

To answer my own question is hard because I end up carrying everything in my :scared1:buttpack! :scared1: My kids hate that I wear it but it makes life so much easier for me and them when they want something!

I will never forget the first time we took then SIL to be to Disney. He was prepared to walk a lot but not at the pace our family walks. We are known to be speed walkers! By the start of the second day, DD pulled me over and said that SIL to be was so chafed that he was in extreme pain. I whipped out my little med bag and gave him a sample pack of an anti Chafing powder that I had gotten by a freebie link on the Budget Board. It worked like a charm and Dear SIL to be was most impressed!:upsidedow
He laughed and then asked if he broke his arm could I whip a cast out of the butt pack too?:lmao:

So my most unusual thing is this Soothing Care Chafing Relief Powder-Gel:
http://www.monistat.com/soothing-care-powder-gel?utm_campaign=Soothing%20Care%202009&utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_content=Powder%20Gel&utm_term=monistat%20soothing%20care%20chafing%20relief%20powder%20gel&gclid=CMWK3Jbj4p0CFSENDQodhFNiCQ

Now the most used thing I carry is a water bottle with a built in filter. I drink a lot of water and it is so much more economical and better for the environment to refill my own bottle rather than to continue to buy plastic bottles of water.

I hate the way a butt pack looks but then I look pretty silly anyway so phooey on looks! I wear a lime green set of Mickey Ears, bright lime green Crocs, and normally a silly shirt so who cares about a butt pack too!

Another Question of the Day for the waiters and onlookers (AKA 20Wonders):

What is the most unusual item that you carry with you into the parks?
What is the most used item you carry with you into the parks?
Where or in what do you carry these two items?

:confused3

1. My most unusual item would have to be my eyeglass repair kit
2. The most used item is definately my Visa card
3. I too used a fanny pack for years, never realizing how it made me look. Now I have a small DVC backpack

First, I want to say congrats to all the people moving on to round 3. Good luck with the interviews. I will be patiently waiting until next year to try again.

As for the items used:

My most unusal item is also my most important item: my son's epipen. He is allergic to peanuts. So this item is always with me.

Most used would be the hand santiziter.

All of these items are placed in the diaper bag which hangs on the stroller.

Good questions Twende!

Most unusual... I would have to say that at the moment, it is the special 3D-defying lens I made for my camera to allow me to shoot Mickey's Philharmagic!

Ok...that is REALLY cool!

I am enjoying all of the responses! I need to get some nail clippers! :rotfl:

Unusual item: Not really odd, but we bring Disney Trivia cards along with us to do while waiting in the lines.

Most used: Camera and Scrapbook/Autograph Books. I've made 3 books so far for the parks: Disney Activity Book, Disney ABC book and now for this trip a Disney Autograph book.

Carry: In the stroller

Ok...that is REALLY cool!

Better yet, Maroo- it WORKED! Still have to edit it, but I have what will be the best vid of Philharmgic on you tube! And yes, I have viewed most of what is on there! Why do something that you can't improve?

Ya! What's with all the nail clippers? No wonder the Airline people have such bins full of them! LOL!!! Rather good tool though.

"I finally came to realize that his body simply becomes the music, so that even his simplest gesture sings. "

Whoa...that was just really eloquent for me and painted an incredible picture of both him and the movie.

Thanks for sharing!

i cant think of anything unusual that we bring, unless you consider bringing intinerary cards AND larger versions of the to do list AND and the touring plan from the unofficial guide... i suppose it might be overkill, but oh well, you can never be too prepared!

the most used item this past trip was definitely the diaper changing pouch that holds the diapers and wipes in it. it made it easy ot toss in the bottom of the stroller and pull out when necessary, rather than having to dig for stuf every time we needed to stop by the baby care centers (which are invaluable!)

my dad has a black backpack that he ALWAYS uses, despite the fact we keep offering to take turns being the pack mule. next trip i m sure we will have something more fun and age appropriate for ds's stuff!

Hmmm, I guess you could say the unusual thing I bring is baby wipes, since my babies are 8 & 11 (and 39!)

Most used item - camera. I keep it separate from the rest of my things, in a almost holster-like holder that clips on to my pocket. I can whip that thing out in one second flat if needed!

We carry our things in a crocs backpack. We all also have the Passporter neck bags. It's amazing what we can squeeze in there!

That really is well said and does make it easy to create a pic of him in your mind! I love it!
:yay::banana::cool1::dance3::jumping1::Pinkbounc:jumping2::jumping3:party::dancer:
I was looking for our dancing smiles.:rotfl:

I was never able to see him in person. I got to be in a movie with Elvis and Ann Margaret but never say MJ.

Hmmmmmmm .....that gets me to thinking about changing my question of the day. I need more coffee and then I can formulate something for you answering pleasures!

Question of the day for all is what celebrities have you seen while you were vacationing at Disney? Were they escorted or on their own? How did you recognize them?

I am very bad at recognizing people. Sometimes someone looks familiar to me and hours to days later I place who they were but usually I have no clue.

My most incredible sighting was Mr Walt Disney himself. I was a mere child but I knew right away who he was, after all he personally introduced the television program, The Wonderful World of Disney every Sunday. It was obviously in Disneyland and he was accompanied by several other men but basically he was just strolling around looking at the sights.

He had a presence about him that must made me stop and stare at him. I don';t remember people rushing up to get near him or anything like that. He was so respected that people just smiled and observed him from wherever they were.

As a adult I have seen several young families being escorted around the parks with a guide or two but I never seem to be able to figure out who they are! :lmao:

(One really cool thing happened to DD and I two years ago. We were getting ready to use our fast passes for Soarin' and the CM would not let us in the line. She kept saying no, go over there and pointing toward where you exit the attraction. I kept trying to tell her that our fast passes were good and that it was the correct time. Finally DD pulled me to the side and we stood where she had been telling us to stand. A Dream Team CM came and took about 8 of us on the VIP entrance to Soarin'. It was so much fun! The CM told us that this was the way they take the celebrities on to that attraction. Part of the way we went was behind the buildings, some of it I had already seen from the Behind the Seeds Tour but it was still neat to do! We came out through a door that was at the "u" part of the last line. We went right to the front row and got right on Soarin'. :woohoo:

DisneySunflower I love the costume! Sorry I mixed you up, as I said I need more coffee this morning!

Hey everyone! Just thought I would let you know that I have just received my 2nd No email
