2010 Mom's Panel Results along with lists of Round 2 & 3 Participants

Whew!! Crisis averted (I think). I used my DH work laptop and that seemed to work. My only concern is that after I signed in it didn't say Welcome Danielle at the top. Did anyone else's name appear at the top? I wonder if I should send my replies with pictures to the email sender just in case? Thanks again for your quick replies. You guys are THE BEST!!!

Whew!!!!!!!!!!!! :cool1::cool1:

I would send to her just in case - can't hurt!

Hockeytown to ME is Pittsburgh, PA, home of the Stanley Cup Champions but I have a feeling, this reference is to Detroit?

Detroit is Hockeytown USA. ANY town in Canada is hockeytown. :)

She does speak of the Stanley Cup with reverence and has been know to throw in a random "GO REDWINGS!" from time to time.....:rolleyes1

Lately I have been having better luck with Google Chrome. FireFox keeps crashing!

:scared1: I just got home from work and am trying to catch up. Did you fix it???!! I'm freakin' out for you! Please say it went through! I can only imagine how panicked I would be.

I hope you all managed to get your applications in in time :)

Here's hoping some of you make it to the final telephone round, that's the bit I found the scariest especially as there was a slight time delay as I'm in England I didn't know when to talk and when to listen :rotfl:

WOW! There certainly have been many emotions floating around on here. Hopefully things are settling down for those of you who didn't make it to round 2. I told myself that it was a contest and that the chances of moving forward were slight at best. But because it was a Disney contest, it ramped up the stakes and that's why so many wanted to move on. For those of you who moved on, I wish you the best and truly hope that magic follows you to the next round. Stay positive and be encouraged. :wizard:

OT...
Just wanted to let you know that my 8 year old daughter was diagnosed with H1N1 two days ago. I'm going nuts waiting for her to turn the corner and be fever free. We took her to an urgent care because she has asthma and they refused to give her Tamiflu. The doctor said that she seems healthy enough to fight it on her own. She is holding her own, but it is really making me anxious. If I could ask that you send thoughts her way, it would be much appreciated. Thanks.:lovestruc

:wave2: Hello, everyone! I know I'm a little late to the party....party: but I just found my "CONGRATULATIONS...You're on to Round 2!" email in my inbox late last night! Holy Crow! It took a moment more to register that I had exactly 24 hours to submit my Part 2 answers!

By 2 AM this morning after hitting "SUBMIT", I am done and done! Looking forward to sharing this journey with all of you! :grouphug:

TTYS!
Denise

:cheer2: WOO HOO! Congratulations and welcome to the waiting room, Denise!! I can only imagine your excitement and panic all at the same time :)

Well, times up everyone...now we wait...at least we have each other to help pass the time :) :grouphug:

I will most certainly be keeping your daughter in my thoughts. I hope that she breaks that fever and is on her way to good health very soon!!!

Now that the deadline has passed I hope those who have to read our Round 2 answers are enjoying themselves!! :) Good luck everyone!!

Oh, I'm so sorry to hear about your daughter. I'm sure you are so worried. I'm sending you lots of faith, love and pixie dust. Hope she turns the corner very soon. Much Love.

Stitichnut, I am sending prayers up for your DD. I pray she recovers soon and completely,

To the 37 Round Two'ers on here, how can we help you pass the time? Would you like to pick a topic of the day and discuss it or would you prefer to talk about non Disney things to help keep your mind off the process?

Anything that will help you all is what we 201'ders are here to do!

I rather like that term 201'ders. When you say it out loud, it makes us sound "wonderful". Actually being tied with 19,800 (or would it be 19,799? I need more coffee!) other Disney fanatics for that 201st slot is not a bad pace to be!:rotfl:

I could start with the weather but it is so cold, gloomy, rainy and wet snowy here that I really need to not focus on that! :lmao:

Stitchnut, I hope your little one starts feeling better soon.

Ok, all that cake and chocolate talk made me very hungry! I am supposed to be dieting, and all I can think of is chocolate cake! Thanks :p

Weather is nice right now, though on the chilly side. We are between two storms. We had our first flurries yesterday, and tomorrow is supposed to be downright nasty. Hope, everyone has a good day!

I made it into the 2nd round! I'm a sometimes-dis-board-er and am excited to see who the other 2nd rounders are.

My husband is almost more excited than I am---he spent all night one day this week looking at the Disney hotels we haven't stayed at! Now, I'm dreaming of Disney!

Congrats to the rest of you!

I just wanted to say to the R2's...GOOD LUCK!

I just wanted to say to the SOUR GRAPES, it's a contest and in contests everyone can't win. This year wasn't your year and maybe next year will be, but again might not be. What are we teaching our children when we as adults can't handle rejection. I know it hard, but we can't teach our children that when we loose something, it's acceptable to throw an adult tantrum and pick apart the process or say it was fixed or tainted. In life some win and some loose.

This was my second year applying and didn't make it past round 1 both times. I consider my family as a "Disney Family" and I think I know a ton about Disney but in reality (no personal attacks here) there is more to life then Disney. I love the Mouse and we try to go every year but I have a very rewarding life outside the World.

Just my two cents and again good luck everyone, I will be here to cheer you on to the next round!

Is anyone here married to a non-Disney freak? I didn't tell my wife that I'd entered till I got to round #2 and when I did, she said, "what is the point of it?" :rotfl2:

She doesn't mind Disney, but says it definitely isn't the happiest place on Earth for her and doesn't really get what all the hype is about.:scared1:

I had a similar problem, I typed my essays and when I went to attach my picture it wiped out my answers! So then I added the picture first, then re-typed the answers. I did get a message & email that it was successfully submitted.

And to answer your question, and when I was on the recriuiting page my name was not at the top, but when I went to other pages on the Disney website it appeared.

Now the waiting game begins... to pass the time I took a bunch of Cancun books out of the library. We have a vacation later this year that is actually not Disney related :scared1: and I have no clue what to do in Cancun. I wish it was WDW but heck, it's free with all of DH's air miles & hotel points so I am not complaining! I must say it is very strange planning a family vacation that does not involve ADR's and character dining! :rotfl: If anyone has suggestions on what to do in Canucn with a 4 year old, let me know!

Congratulations Amanda! :yay::woohoo:
I will add you to the list of R2'ers,
The List is most recently posted on page 25 of this thread but also on page 1, 7 and 13. I am trying to keep them all up to date!

DH is not a Disney Freak, but he definitely accepts and understands my fascination with Disney. He went to great lengths to propose to me on Main Street during the Fantasy in the Sky fireworks in 2001 (the ring almost didn't make it on time) and he actually likes my old Disney snow globe collection on display in our family room-lol.

Every year when we go to WDW I make sure to plan something that will be new to him to keep him excited. Before we had DD we spent a day at Disney Quest and he was in arcade heaven. In 2008 we did "Lunch with an Imagineer" (totally awesome and worth every penny) and next I would like to book a Segway tour. In 2010 we will be there during 'ESPN the Weekend' and I am anxious to see which athletes will be there. When I eventually go back to work my goal is to surprise him with a Richard Petty driving experience.

My DH was not a huge fan but then as a child he was never able to go to Disney. Once we had kids he started to come around. He loved watching his children first experience things at Disney. We made trips almost every year while our children were young. Once they hit college, DH and I started focusing on trips and attractions for us. What a time we are having.

One of the things that has made him a major Disney fan was the Segway tour. We had so very much fun tooling around on those crazy machines. EPCOT was ours! DH also adores all the great places to eat. He says he wants another trip where all we do is center our day around fantastic meals!

We are now moving into a new stage of Disney love. We are expectign our first grandchild early next year. :dance3: Thank God that we were given a SIL who adores Disney as much as I do! Who says prayers are not answered! :woohoo:

So Michelle, I tell you to plan that Segway tour as soon as possible. :yay: I also have heard that the one at Fort Wilderness is great too but I would save that one for your second Segway tour!
