2010 Mickey Marathon Bib Numbers

OK, my official notification email arrived and it led me to a waiver which says:

Mar Bib: 13122
HM Bib: 39912
5k Bib: 43

So I guess those are my official numbers.

Wendy

Hmmm..I checked the website and my name comes up but no number. All I saw was a place to print the waiver.

10802:cool1:

I'd like to finish it in 5 hours....but I"m sure I"ll be taking pictures with the characters!

Hey guys. More of a lurker on this part of the boards, but am glad I found them. It was great getting to say HI to the people in the lime green shirts running the Las Vegas Half Marathon last weekend. Makes me want to check things out over here more, so I can be a part of the cool green shirt team too! :cool2:

Anyways, I am bib number 6614 for the marathon. I am guessing that they based it off my time from the Disneyland Half Marathon. I was looking at about 5 hours as a good time for me (double my half time, plus add a minute a mile is what I saw online). Based on the info posted from last year, this would put me in the blue corrals. If I think my number is too low, can I move back without any issues. Thinking more because I want to run with a pace group again. And I want to be able to take pictures since I did not during the DL half.

Thanks for any help you all can give me on this. See you in 29 days! WOO HOO!!!!!

IF you have been deligent in your training and the weather is suitable you should be able to push about a 4:40. You will be moving back to find the 5 hour group. Though, if it's your first mary throw out the notion of finish time and just enjoy. While the distance is only double the effort is exponential and you can be doing great until you hit the second half of the marathon - miles 20-26.

You should only have three goals for a first mary
1 - Finish
2 - Finish with a SMILE
3 - Finish healthy

Hope this helps! I would take the free disposable Kadak camera from the Goodie bag and have a good time in the parks. You can still stop take photos and make this a memorable event and finish in the low 5 hour range (or possible upper 4) Make this your event; slow when you need to slow speed up when you feel the urge. You can try to stay with a pace group but do not feel the need to stay with one on your first event.

Thanks for the advice and suggestions. This board is always amazing that way.

Everything you said makes sense. I could really care less about time, I just didn't want to screw anyone else up by being up too far.

Sorry for the threadjacking. We now return to the regularly scheduled programing.

Just a little jacking - good question and stuff many first timers are thinkning but not sure how to ask.

Yikes!
It's my first full, so I'm pretty clueless regarding my estimated time. I'm hoping it will be in the 5:30 to 6:00 range, but 6:59:59 would be fine, too.
