You get to ride on both of these rides with your tour, skipping the line.

I think the tour is over 2 hours. You would start at 3pm then end with watching the parade at 5:30. Some days have two tour times- noon and 3pm.

You ride on the train, haunted mansion, and small world with no wait. You get reserved seating (actual chairs) for the Christmas Fantasy parade, with a gingerbread cookie and mug of cocoa. (the cookie is super yummy and the mug is a souvenier!) You also get a pin, and two samples of fudge (regular and peppermint). It's a lot of fun.

Thanks for the link to your TR. I was debating about the holiday tour this year since I enjoyed it last year, rain and all, but wasn't sure if I wanted to spend the money again. However, wanting to experience the tour dry and seeing that the pin is from my favorite Disney movie, I will be booking the tour.

I called today and got reservations for this Tuesday. It was basically the last option for viewing of an evening parade. There were still other spots available for the earlier tour/parade on various days next week.

This will likely be our first day in the park--so I won't have the benefit of practice in taking nightime parade shots with my camera. Wish me luck.

Just got back from DLR last night! Went on the tour on the 3rd. OMG! It is worth every penny! DH and I LOVED IT! At first DH wasn't that sold on it, but I booked it anyways. He said good thing I did cauze he loved it!

It was SOOOO crowded that day so we could have easily waited in line for 2-3 hrs (combined) for HMH and IASWH...so I loved that we got to cut in front of the line. And the hot cocoa was really good! I usually like hot cocoa made with milk, but I read somewhere that this one was made with water. So, I wasn't sure if I'd like it...but I did. So good!

AND! We loved our tour guide, Roseanne. My son is allergic to nuts, so since the label on the gingerbread cookie said that although the cookie itself didn't have nuts, it was processed in a facility that also processes nuts. So, he couldn't have it. Instead, she gave us a voucher for free popcorn. So, he was happy.

We did our tour on Saturday. The crowds made it very difficult to stay together as a group. We even had a mad dash to our parade seats because they were about to close the street.

I may be flamed, but I was shocked at the adults in our group running and cutting off my daughter and her six year old friend to grab front row seats. My daughter kept up with the tour guide the entire time. She made the mistake of waiting for me to join her and everyone jumped in front of her and took all the seats. Now, I realize that Disney is for EVERYONE, just not kids. What I don't understand is adults who are not considerate of others in their group. It was like a panicked game of musical chairs.

I would never make a fuss, but the other two groups had their children in the front rows. The only reason we were late was because the ADULTS needed a potty break, then the ADULTS wanted lemonade rather than hot chocolate.

Luckily two wonderful people volunteered to give up their seats. I never got their names, but if they are DISers let me send a HUGE shout-out of thanks. You are truely classy people.

They actually took the seats behind the kids and could see perfectly.

The only reason we took the tour was for the parade seats. I have a clotting disorder that makes it difficult for me to sit for long periods of time. Our tour guide was Suzanne, who was wonderful. She was great with the kids and got them involved. I enjoyed cutting the lines at the two rides, but we rode both several times during the morning hours with no wait. We actually waited longer for both on the tour that we ever did on our own.

I thought the information was a little silly. It reminded me of the tour Pee Wee Herman took to the Alamo. Having to shout Feliz Navidad was like saying T O R T I L L A. But it was all in good fun.

Agreed! Our daughters are approximately the same age as yours, and if anyone does that to us, they're getting the stink eye from me. Really, people!

Thanks for the report. I'm doing it for the girls and I know my husband is going to think it's all very silly as well, so thanks for the heads up so I can warn him to keep his to himself I'm really looking forward to our tour on the 22nd.
