2010 Holiday Tour booked! Added: compilation of who's going when.

Since this is becoming a super-thread of sorts about the Holiday Tour, and people frequently are asking if anyone's going when they are, I've decided to compile the reservation dates and times of those who have already posted their details here. If you wish to have your details removed, or need them modified, let me know. I will do my best to keep the list updated in a timely manner.

Christmas at Disneyland superthread

Tons of wonderful info here about all aspects of the Christmas holiday fun at DLR, including Holiday Tour pics and reviews!

Here's a link for the November check-in thread, in case anyone wants to see who will be at DLR when they are.

I wanted to put a link for the December check-in, but I can't for the life of me find the thread. (I'm sure I saw one somewhere at some point!) Can anybody help with this? I want to give them a link to our thread so that when the December vacationers are able to start booking the holiday tour, they can join our list.

ETA:
I found the new December check-in thread.

Fabulous! I thought you had booked, but your details hadn't been posted in this thread yet, so I wasn't sure.

If anyone else chooses to add their own info using the quote feature, I am all in favor (less work for me :lmao::lmao:). Just please be sure you are quoting the MOST RECENT list so that we don't end up being fragmented.

Looks like the 11/12 and 11/13 tour attenders all have buddies!

We are going the 18th-20th of December. I wanted to read that huge thread, but it seemed overwhelming. Do you know around what page(s) have information about the holiday tour? Or, is there a post that has all of the different links to the various topics - I love the superthreads that start with an overview of the topic and then links to the different things.

sacteach - you should just jump right into the Disney at Christmas thread and ask questions if you have them! It's a great thread and there are tons of wonderful people who are more than happy to answer questions. It's the Christmas superthread, so that's where the bulk of all holiday info will be. There has been lots of discussion about the tour on that thread. There is not a specific page on which the tour info begins - people discuss random things about the season on random pages, so it all blends in together - like on most threads. And certain subjects come up again and again. If you use the "Search this Thread" feature when you're in it, you can type in "holiday tour" and come up with all kinds of posts! I've found lots of things that way.

I have an overview post in the Halloween Time Superthread - Part 2, and I added a Table of Contents/Index in the Halloween Superthread mainly for photos and a few select posts that had general information (Belle Ella is now in charge of doing the ToC in that thread). It's too hard to break down all the individual subjects that come up within the thread because it flows more like a conversation and may not have a real beginning and end. Things go back and forth. So we try to only post links to pictures and particular posts (in different categories) that may have important info.

The Christmas thread was not started by me. It was started by a DIS'er who had a question and it blossomed from there. Therefore, that person has the first post. It's too far along now to go back and try to categorize everything and give an overview, and I wouldn't be able to put the overview on the first page, which would make no sense. The overview would go on page 100-something!!:rotfl2:

When I start the Disney at Christmas thread, Part 2, I will be sure to do the same thing I did with the Halloween thread - intro/overview and Table of Contents, and a couple of relevant info posts at the beginning. I already have it mapped out in my mind. However, Disney at Christmas (Part 1) is fully developed with great info and photos, and people are just now planning their holiday trips - so it makes more sense to leave Disney at Christmas, Part 1 open and active for a little longer before Part 2 is created, so people can pop in and look at the beautiful photos and ask questions. I have to time it out right - when to phase out Part 1 and phase in Part 2. It's not the right time yet.

This is all volunteer work - anything we do with the threads to make them more cohesive and easy to follow is all done out of love, not for money. But it does take lots of time to get these kinds of things done (that involve so many details), and we have to work it into our schedules and things, which can be tricky. It can be a long process.

We hope everyone will enjoy the Christmas thread while it's active and look forward to Disney at Christmas, Part 2, in the not-so-distant future!!:goodvibes

I had lunch with my travel buddy/friend today and we are definitely doing the Holiday Tour!! I can't book until next week but I am pumped.

It seems like most everyone is signing up for the 3 p.m. tour -- any special reason -- twilight parade, don't want to miss lunch, etc.?

PHXscuba:rolleyes:

p.s. If the first few people going have time to put a link to their trip report or post photos -- like the view from your parade seats, the yummy goodies you get to sample, the gingerbread cookies, etc. -- we would all be super-appreciative!! Thx

And also please post them in the Disney at Christmas superthread too!

For me, the 3pm tour/5:30 parade just seemed to flow better......early morning packing in the rides, lunch, rest break, tour/parade, dinner, possible fireworks or Fantasmic (or more rides)! The noon tour/2:30 parade shifts the rest break to after 3pm, and does sort of mess up lunch. Also, snuggling up in our jackets with the hot chocolate and cookie as it's getting dark for the parade just sounded much more cozy.

Remember too that during the week there is only the 5:30 parade (so far as the calendar was showing last time I looked), so there isn't a noon tour option.

And yes, I will post about the experience as soon as I can. I'm not a picture taker though, so I have to rely on DH and MIL for that.

For me, I am used to taking the tours at WDW which I guess start earlier in the day. I remember taking both the Walk in Walt's Footsteps tour and the From Imagination to Celebration tour when I was out for DL's 50th anniversary but for the life of me I can't remember when they started. I guess it was in the afternoon because for one of them we we were able to watch the fireworks from the train station platform. Or was that WDW?
Anyway, I would be excited if someone else form this thread ends up taking the noon tour on the 26th. :santa:

You can search through a thread for specifics by going to the green bar under the page numbers and entering "holiday tour" into the "Search this Thread" down arrow.

:goodvibes We booked our Chica's Only Holiday Tour last week! :woohoo:

November 18th at 3pm, it looks like we will be there with IndayMichelle?

SO excited, I did the tour with my hubby three years ago and can't wait to share it with my bestie and niece....

We got stuck on IASWH when we went. Our boat was overloaded! Glad they did the renovations! Because we were stuck so long in IASWH we were rushed to the parade seating, thrown in our seats, and THEN given seating for the fireworks, so it was some special pixie dust! :wizard:

Oh, I forgot to mention I paid the $ 47.20 price when I booked, but when I called the day before for pricing they quoted over $ 50 dollars per ticket.

Not quite sure what the discrepency is.... but my charge went through at the price quoted!
