2010 Holiday Tour booked! Added: compilation of who's going when.

??? I got an annual pass discount but each ticket came to $51.20 :confused3 I have a deluxe annual pass; do you?. Are they offering different discounts for different types of passes?

Oh well, I am booked for the 3:00 tour on Friday November 12th! :cheer2:

I don't know...this is weird. I just have a regular Deluxe pass. I didn't even stop to figure out whether or not it was 20% off, I just went by the amount she told me over the phone. She took a REALLY long time and then she accidentally charged me for 3 instead of 2, but she had already told me the price would be $47.20 (I originally said $47.40 but I checked just now and it's .20). When she came back with an amount of $140+ I told her no, that isn't right, and she noticed she'd charged me for 3. She then put me on hold and came back saying she'd credited me back $47.40. My total came to $94.40. When she was getting my info, she told me some rules, including "there are no balcony seats." I told her I wasn't getting Fantasmic tickets and she said, "I know, I'm just required to say that," which I thought was sort of weird.

I think I'll call back tomorrow and make sure that I am getting the Holiday Tour--I double checked that with the CM and she assured me I had the 3:00 Holiday Tour on Sat. the 13th. I hope it's right! That's a good deal. I'm pretty sure I paid $51+ last year, now that you guys have called that to my attention.

So I am very interested in booking this tour. We are going the week after Thanksgiving. I have never booked a tour before, but have heard such wonderful things about this one.

So from reading this thread it sounds like you pay up front? What are the change/cancellation policies?

Thanks!

It is super fun! There are no cancellations, but I think in certain circumstances they may allow you to change. It's discouraged but I've heard of it happening. And yes, you have to pay upon booking with no refund if you can't attend. If something makes it so the tour is cancelled (like rain), they will do something but I'm not sure whether it's refund your money or what.

Thanks for the info! I have been meaning to apply for the Disney Visa and will have to do it soon if I want to get the discount when booking.

I saw it mentioned that you go to the reindeer roundup? Do you get to see Santa too? or not at this time? Is there a line for the reindeer usually, and do you go ahead? Just curious about everylittle benefit because I know DH is not going to be down with it...

We have 5 in our family with one being a 4 year old - so some of it he would enjoy but not all.

I'm curious now, I spent 120.40 total for two with a AAA discount. Was this because tax was added on or did I end up paying more? I was so excited to book it that I didn't think about the total until later :upsidedow.

Kristenandrick, are you sure you were actually billed
120.40? The price for 2 AAA discounted tickets should be $102.40. Is it possible you transposed a couple of numbers in writing down the confirmation info?

Regular price is $64. The discount for AAA, AP, Disney Visa etc is 20% off....or $51.20 per person.

Ariel you were right! I checked my credit card statement online and sure enough it was 102.40. I def wrote it down wrong lol. Thanks for pointing it out because I thought I had paid the 120. :thumbsup2

So how exactly is Disney calculating the 30 days ahead to book? Are they just going by the same date in the previous month or actually counting days?

I booked for the 19th on the 19th, so i'm assuming it's the day's number, not the amount of days.

I booked today, 10/20 for a tour on 11/20. This will be the 3rd year in a row doing the tour. We love it! :santa:

How late into the Holiday season is this offered?

My DH is a huge Christmas fan (so much that Christmas music and scents have started in our household), but we won't be at DL until Dec 29-31. If we do this tour, it would best fit into our schedule on the 31st. Do they offer it then?

Thanks

I got worried about my booking after reading that the price I got was not what everyone else was quoted, so I called today. I'm all confirmed! Not sure why the price was lower ($47.20), but maybe the CM just made a mistake. I'm not complaining, though!

My price was $47.20 also. I was told that was the AP discount. I paid with my Disney Visa but was told that the only discounts offered was the AP discount. The CM was not very knowledgeable though.

I think we probably got the same CM! :rotfl:

Made our reservations yesterday for the 3 o'clock tour on 11/26. This will be the first time we've ever done this tour, although we've done similar tours at Sea World San Diego.

I'm so excited that we're able to do this. I can't wait!:cool1:

I made my reservation for the 12noon Holiday Time tour on Friday, November 26, 2010. :santa: Is anyone else going at this time on this day? :littleangel:
