I was stunned to be able to get right through to the reservations line this morning to book the Holiday Tour. I was expecting to be on hold for hours!

The price is the same as last year----$64. I was given the option of noon or 3pm for Sat 11/13. I chose 3pm BTW. So excited!!!

2010 prices: $64 (adults and children 3 or older).
Discount of 20% given to AP holders, Disney Visa holders, AAA members.
Book by phone 1 month ahead at 714-781-4400.
Payment is due at the time the reservation is made. Fees are not refundable, but reservations may be changeable depending on availability.
Tour includes: history of holiday traditions at DLR and around the world, front of the line privilege (one time) for IASWH and HMH, preferred seating for the holiday parade, hot chocolate in a souvenir mug, gingerbread cookie, samples of holiday candy, souvenir pin.

Yay! Thanks for posting.

Do you have any other details, like is it offered every day? Times each day? Or a link where you found information on the this year's tours?

I spoke with them this morning too and was told I had to call back tomorrow to book Nov 13. :confused3 Guess I'm getting back on the phone to try again!

There is, unfortunately, nothing on the website to link to. I just called 714-781-4400 as I knew I was 30 days out from the date we want to go.

If you look on the entertainment schedule, you can see the parade times. On the weekdays the parade is at 5:30 and on the weekends it runs at 2:30 and 5:30. The tour times should (presumably) work in conjunction with the parade schedule. I was given the choice of the noon tour for the 2:30 parade or the 3pm tour for the 5:30 parade. I would assume the tours would be offered every day there is a parade running, but as we all know, sometimes DL doesn't operate according to our assumptions. :confused3

Wouldn't this all be so much simpler if they would just join the current century and do an online booking option for this stuff?? :confused3 I mean, if we can buy WoC picnics online, if I can schedule a CPR class online, if people can register for college classes online, why can't this too be done online??

Definitely keep calling them. I must have gotten really lucky. The CM I spoke with was really on top of things. I'm sure I was her first caller of the day because I dialed at 8:00 and got the "we're closed" recording. I hung up, dialed again, and got through. I was so incredibly SHOCKED to get through that I was flustered and had to remember what I was calling for! :rotfl: Then I was all giddy excited :cheer2:because I was actually talking to a real person who was finding the info in the computer and was able to accommodate my party of 14 people! Had I been calm and collected, I would have thought to ask more questions for you all. I'm so sorry.

Success!! Thanks so much for posting so I knew not to take no for an answer. DD and I are doing the 3 pm tour - maybe we'll see you there! :goodvibes

(And you are so right about Disney just getting with the times and putting this all out for booking online - these 30 and 60 day phone calls are stressful )

Yay! I'm so glad your reattempt was a success!

I was just looking and see that the WoC picnics aren't available yet for 11/13. Maybe they are starting to go by the actual 30 day cutoff now instead of the "same calendar date" method. Since October has 31 days, tomorrow is technically 30 days out. Maybe the first CM you spoke with was going by that logic instead of actually checking the computer to book. Maybe my initial success was due to the fact that I inquired about tours for the "12th OR 13th"???

I am so happy to hear that you didn't have any trouble booking for a group of 14!!! :cool1: That's what we have too! Did she happen to say how many people are in each tour? We aren't going until the beginning of December so I still have a ways to go until I can book it but hearing that others are starting to book it is so exciting!!

I guess I have to wait until the end of the month (26th/27th) to book my Holiday Time Tour? :santa:

Wow good to see everyone got through this morning i called from Australia at 11:30 am LA time and got an engaged signal and then called back at 2 and wason hold for 15mins.. i was booking a walk in walts footsteps tour

I just booked for Sat. Nov 13th too!! WOOHOO!!! This will be my 3rd year in a row on the tour. It is sooooo fun!

Just wanted to mention that if you're an AP holder or Disney Rewards card holder, you get a 20% discount on the price. It used to be true for AAA members as well but I'm not sure about that this year. I paid $47.40 each for our tickets today.

Wow, you got more than 20% off. I called for info about kids prices and was told with the 20% off it makes the tickets $51.20 each (kids same price as adults at $64). We asked about the AAA discount because that is what we have and it still works for that tour at least. :)

So since you're an AAA member you got the discount year? Do you need to give them your AAA# or do you just show them your card when you pick up the tickets? TIA!

I didn't actually book it because we weren't 30 days out. Now it looks like we won't do it because my husband is extremely unhappy about spending $200 for us to do it. But, I called to get all the info about it and they just said that there is a AAA discount of 20% making the tickets $51.20 each and that the kids were the same price as adults. Also that we can only book 30 days out.

Thank you for the info. My husband won't like the $200 price tag either; maybe I'll just avoid telling him that part. :lmao:

??? I got an annual pass discount but each ticket came to $51.20 :confused3 I have a deluxe annual pass; do you?. Are they offering different discounts for different types of passes?

Oh well, I am booked for the 3:00 tour on Friday November 12th! :cheer2:

Is there tax on the tickets? Maybe that is the difference....I know when I have called to purchase things before, they usually tell me the individual price before taxes, then say the total that includes tax. But not sure on tickets if there is tax?
