Now here is the truly sad and pathetic part. I'm not going for F/D! True story. I did all this in the line of duty.. taking one of the team .. yadda yadda..

My big trip this year is June 1 to 9 ... tryin out the Dolphin/Swan properties this time. It's my birthday trip.

I know, sorry. But Knox said (and he know A LOT) that they will have additional rooms for the GP. He said don't worry - so don't worry!!!

Ok - I do want to say here.. that has been the rumor in years past (additional GP inventory) .. but all bets are off this year. Either way I wouldn't go nuts about it.

There WILL be values, moderates and deluxes available on Monday. It may not be the exact one you want on your travel dates.

Just hopped out of bed checked the dis and called disney with a 2 min wait time I didn't have time to read what the deal was My dates are Aug 15 to 22 BC, I booked this on a bouce back from December 40% off so it saved me $100. The CM never evan asked for my Dvisa maybe it's on file. She gave me my new balance due and that was it. So I will await my email confirmation.

7 nights at the Poly garden view with FD for 5 "Disney Adults" came to just over $4300 with 8 day Park Hoppers.

I thought my 40% PIN at Poly was better $$ than FD, but your quote seems really good. Maybe I need to recalculate!

My stress STARTED when I booked our WDW vacation and found out about DISboards!

Come Monday afternoon I'll finally be stress free if my TA tells me she was able to apply FD to our CSR ressie.

I've already spent a month fussing between POP and CSR before upgrading. I don't want to figure out another resort.

Of course, now I'm already looking at other resorts and options just in case.

Hey, if I'm going to spend the weekend worrying about FD at CSR, I might as well play with my options so I don't add more stress time if we don't get FD at CSR come Monday.

The only 'no go' we've heard of so far was no CSR on selected dates..

We don't yet know if that's no CSR at all for all dates..

REGARDING CSR

Remember.. this 'sold out state' was for the dates she checked.. I doubt the CM checked all possible dates.. altho it is possible there was no inventory allocated to CSR ..

So now we know there is at least *some* availability at CSR depending on dates.

Is there a chance that if Pop is sold out that I have a great chance of getting ASMu? Also, Is the week of Labor Day better than the week we currently have booked (Sept. 12-18)? Help.

We did stick with the QSDP for now....last year I ran numbers when QSDP was free in December and while it was quite a bit more to pay OOP for our table service meals, it was actually just a tad cheaper so we stuck with the QSDP over upgrading. This year I have to run the numbers of paying OOP for the table service meals we've got ADRs for and then run if we were to buy our extra counter service meals, and mugs...etc. I always factor in how many counter service we'd actually eat if we weren't on the QSDP/Free too....as I doubt we'd eat 2 a day and a table service. Still, lots of numbers rolling around in those comparisons LOL

If I decide to upgrade to regular dining, I can do that on the kids stay, play and dine for free room too...right? I thought I saw someone saying they did that.

Yeah with Diseny you can always upgrade. They alwasy will take more $$. LOL

We have the RD plan and do have a disney visa we booked bounce back. But there is only really 3 TS meals we want to do. So after I did the math it would equal to our tip money for 10 days so we may just call and change to the QSDP instead. Dh thinks 10 days of ADr's is going to be a bit overboard. I'm going to wait til it is offered to the GP before making any changes that way I have the weekend to decied.

That's odd.. I would call back. Others have been able to pay a fee to upgrade.

If Visa is offering kids play & dine free, and right now Disney is offering kids play free, do you think Disney will ever offer Kids play AND dine free as well?

Regarding having been told that there is no availability for FD at CSR:



She didn't know a reason why.
Said "the offer is new" and that maybe some openings would come and maybe not. Said she would suggest moving to a different resort. She was very nice, but clearly didn't know anything about why there were no rooms. She was perplexed at first about why she was having trouble getting FD added to my ressie and had to "call another department." It was at that point that she was told no FD at CSR.

I'm so sad. I really had gotten my heart set on CSR. But it just doesn't seem worth paying several 100s of dollars more, now that other moderates would be so much more affordable!?

I think you are running into the same problem with your dates (9/24 - 9/29) as I am with mine (10/2 - 10/10). If you go to the WDW site and enter those dates, the only availability it shows is for a King room. Not sure what's going on those weeks, but it looks like the resort is pretty well already booked up without the FD promo...thus no rooms are available for FD. I don't think it's the resort itself that is excluded from the entire promo...just nothing to offer you (or me) during our time frame. I'd bet there are other weeks during the promo where there some rooms at CSR that can be booked with FD. Doesn't help you though...sorry! We just booked with CBR. May keep checking to see if a convention or whatever gets canceled...it might open up some FD availability at CSR. Or may just settle with what we have...we've never stayed at CBR so it's kind of exciting thinking about trying a new resort. Good luck!

quick...when you check your new free qspd online, does it show dining plan anywhere? I am not seeing anything on ours. Can't remember what it looked like an hour ago, when it was booked under the Pin code. (Switched hotels, and to make it easier on csr since my pincode is expired, I let her use the disney visa code instead).

If you want to catch the MNSSHP, then you want to keep the 12-18th dates. They are not starting the parties until Sept 14th.
