**2010** Epcot Food & Wine Festival ENDED 11/14. 2011 FESTIVAL 9/30-11/13

Thanks everyone! I guess we'll stick with PFTS...makes it easier for calling certainly! (And BriarRosie, thanks for the reminder that whoever calls has to pay...didn't think of that!)

Has anyone seen info on the individual wine pairings offered at the pavilion restaurants this year? I have looked all over or mention of them this year with no success.

It hasn't been released yet. My guess is that information as well as the signature dinner information is what is being held back for release at the TiW event on the 8th ... they are having a "sneak preview" dinner event that night. Luckily there are some DISers who will be attending and they will probably share what they learn with us. I know them - they are nice peoples that way. :goodvibes

YAY for nice peoples! Holding on for advance info from the party! :dance3:

I was hopeful someone would. We wanted to go to the TIW event the moment we opened that email on the 25th, but it was just too late to make the travel arrangements at that point. Hubby's work schedule was just impossible to work around with that late notice. Many thanks to any kind folks who are willing to share the info with us after the TIW event!

It looks like they aren't bringing in guest chefs this year for the Signature Dinners too bad. Our week is Jiko, new chef since we were there in May I guess we'll give it a try.

Thanks DisneyJen!

Nothing goes WOW! for me except the price tag of the V&A dinner. ;)
Looks like Bluezoo is taking a sabbatical.
Wasn't there talk of an Empress Lily Dinner?

Thanks DisneyJen!

You're welcome redzinner! I appreciate all the info you have posted on this year's event as well:thumbsup2

I about :faint: when I saw the V&A pricetag!

Guess we are taking a pass on the Signature Dinners as none are offered while we are in the World.

Well that just saved us a lot of money. All the bad talk over the Jiko event and then the only other offering is Paradiso 37 .. was not happy with our experience last year for dessert and drinks..

Why no Raglan Road???

Maybe they will announce a few more at Thursday's Dinner, Kabuki?
None of the dinners said "put me at the top or your list!" this year. I'm thinking PftS Wine View will be our biggest ticket.

Oh, you're right about the Empress Lily, I think they said November.

Also, there is no Flying Fish Signature Dinner on there either.

Lets hope Raglan Road and FF are announced when we are at the party. I remember the Empress Lily thing being talked about too!
Well for us it's all gravy now.. we get to meet you guys, have a fun time and it's all last minute come together!

Jason and I just said - we hope they give more info on the 1st Bites events if they want people to pay $195.00! I also hope they say that PFTS are the themes this year again. I know we will go to PFTS no matter what but we loved that and the Wine View last year!

Could be the Empress Lily will be the last weekend and they will announce it Thursday evening ... curious minds ...

I guess people will now need to scramble and make ADRs for their traditional October visit. Although there are other restaurants in the Orlando area too ;)

I was wondering if those of you who attended last year think the $90 add on for the Wine View Lounge is worth it? I suspect DH will :scared1: if I tell him the price. Thanks in advance for any info!

This too will be out big ticket item.

Also trying to decide if we should do the Food and Wine Pairing at Tutto Italia and/or French Regional Lunch. Any comments greatly appreciated!

Looks like we JUST miss V&A (arriving Oct 25th), though not sure we would have done the dinner at that price point :scared1:....close to $1300 for the three of us!

I would have gladly done California Grill's, but we miss out on it by a few days as well.

Also, Disney Parks Blog has an article about the July 20th booking date.

They confirm the date, the two new events (First Bites and 3D Disney's Dessert Discoveries).

The article also announces two returning marketplace items:
- The Lobster & Scallop Fisherman's Pie at Ireland (yay! I didn't get to try this last year)
- The Braised Shortribs at France (my #1 favorite item last year!)

They claim all info should be available on the wdw.com food & wine website before the booking date!

We loved the Wine View Lounge last year. We did it twice - You get to go in early and don't have to wait with the mad pack outside. We were let in 30 minutes a head last year and then you got a specialty drink of sparkling wine and a hibiscus flower. Then they take you to your reserved table and you are caged off! (We found this funny) You have a full bar and a cheese selection included. You also got an extra amuse at the table and waiter service. You are also able to go eat and mingle with the chefs before the masses come out. We loved it and didn't take advantage of the bar because we were sampling wines. This year we may do a cocktail!
We are going to the French Lunch this year and have always heard great things! I hope this helps....

The Lobster Pie was GREAT last year! Happy it's back though we got to try it on a day the temperature had dipped down way below average .. hot fish pie in 90 plus humid weather may not be as good!

I think the Wine View add on would provide a better experience since DH doesn't like huge crowds (don't ask) so it might offer some respite from the masses:rotfl2:

Now the negotiations begin:rotfl:

Yes! You are away from the crowed and for the most part can stay away ..until you walk to get food and wine! :rotfl2:
Actually I thought it was less crowded then the years before. I don't know if they let less people in or with Cirque not doing their thing they had extra space. We will see what happens this year....The clowns are back!
