2010 Dining plan

Please don't worry, it happened last year too. Apparently it happens every year. Disney doesn't finish contracting with the restaurants that aren't managed by Disney until very late in the year.

Until those restaurants sign off on participating in the dining plan, they aren't "official" and aren't included in the brochures.

Ok so they have until the end of the year to add to the list right?

I'm going to be making my ADR's in October, and some of my restaurants aren't on that list...can I still make an ADR with our DxDP, even though the restaurant is not on the plan right now?

The final official list probably won't be out until somewhere close to Jan. 1.

Past experience says that there will be few, if any, changes in participating restaurants, but there are no guarantees.

You can make ADRs completely independently from your dining plan.

Glad to know this! We are planning our first family trip for Easter and when I saw the 2010 list, I was a bit shocked to see a portion of our ADR short list no longer on the plan.

Would you suggest making ADR's for our restaurants of choice and a making a back up just in case? Or would the double booking get all our ADR's cancelled?

You can probably assume that any restaurant on the 2009 list will also ultimately be on the 2010 list. Only one restaurant in the history of the dining plan has ever dropped it (Fulton's in 2006).

Thank you! All you DISers are such a wealth of knowledge...you've really made planning this trip a breeze for us and saved us from making some costly mistakes along the way.
