I am not sure if this is the place to ask this question but here goes.....Does anyone know when the 2010 DDP rates should be made available? We are traveling in January and I know adding the DDP will be the one thing I forget to do.:rolleyes1

If it good news, Disney will release the info early. If it's bad they will wait until the last minute. I expect a price increase or another modification taking something away. :sad2:

A price increase is something I also expect. What do you think they would take away?

Disney releases all of the 2010 rates, including resorts, tickets and DDP, some time within the first 2 weeks of August. My sister is waiting to get the resort rates for next summer so she could book and her 4-night trip could be at the beginning of our 10-night trip so we could enjoy Disney together.

I do recall last year when they were adding the Quick Service Dining Plan option, hearing about it prior to the official rates coming out, and the official announcement of the QSDP being an option. I wonder if they will add yet another dining option to all the ones they already have. I think they have ALMOST everything covered...a quick service dining plan for those who prefer counter service but would like to pre-pay, a regular plan that includes both types of dining, and the deluxe for more flexibility and more credits (plus appetizer included on deluxe plan). One option I would like to see is something that I myself would call the "Dining Plus Plan". It is my dream plan and would be a modification of the basic DDP...it would be 2 meals anywhere (TS or CS, your choice) plus one snack daily per person but the appetizer would be included at the TS. I would just enjoy the option of either CS or TS, and it would be nice to have an app thrown in to a la carte places, though this isn't truly necessary for us. The deluxe plan is too much for us, but an option that is in between basic and deluxe would be nice. I am just anticipating a price increase, but waiting to see what it is because we are going in July 2010 and planning to add the dining plan since we enjoyed it so much last year going to all the character meals with the kids and trying new places...it's also nice since we plan to spend 2 or 3 days at Epcot and I love trying the food in all the countries there!

I just booked for January today. I think MS said the dining info is usually released in September.

I agree about the deluxe being a bit too much. I'm planning on doing the deluxe but trying to do a signature 2 point meal on most days. It's just too much food to do 3 big TS meals each day, along with the 2 snacks. The basic would be fine if it was 2 TS meals and 1 or 2 snacks a day. The cost being a little cheaper than the deluxe would be nice too.
