Seriously...the turkey legs don't count anymore? Do they consider that CS now? Also, I thought the kids CS included a drink as well? Is this not the case?

Turkey legs are not snacks. They're considered CS entrees. They are too large and too expensive for snacks.

Kids' CS does include a beverage. Milk is the default beverage but I believe you can ask for water, juice or a soft drink.

Just back...was in Main Street Bakery yesterday (Sunday Sept. 19) All items in the bakery case which are allowed on the dining plan now have the little Purple DDP square emblem on them. And the cookies for ice cream sandwiches have the sign that says "ice cream sandwich cookies" with no DDP square next to it. I asked the CM if the ice cream sandwich is allowed for a snack credit and she said No, you could get just one cookie for a snack credit, but no ice cream sandwich because that's really about 3 snacks. She said that only the items with the little purple DDP sign are allowed. I said are you sure because I'd been told by friends to get the ice cream-cookies on snack credits, and she turned to nearby CM and asked her...the 2nd CM also said "No, sorry, that's not allowed anymore. Used to be allowed, but they changed it "awhile back" because a snack is supposed to be one item, not 3."

Good news is for one snack credit, you can still get those MSB giant ooey-gooey cinnamon rolls...and the giant apple turnovers:thumbsup2

Really?! :sad1: What a bummer! I was looking forward to one of those!

Leaving for FL and WDW in less than 2 days. I will report back anything new I find out about SC while there (with pictures hopefully). Thanks again jjohnson for your wonderful list!:cloud9:

can anyone confirm whether or not they have been able to use a cs for 2, 3 or 4 snacks?

not sure if will be able to use all our counter service credits as also going to universal and hoping to be able to get some extra snacks instead, without doing a 1=1 trade

I'm curious as to the CS and SC trade as well. I know we will in no way be able to use all our CS. We are doing Discovery Cove one day plus we normally eat breakfast in our room as well as sharing many meals. If no one posts an answer by tonight, I will just have to find out when we are there.

Check out the siggie! Leaving for FL in about 24 hours and we'll be at WDW in 4 days! :goodvibes I'll report back when I return. We are staying at POP. I may have internet while there, if so, I'll post while there. There's a chance that DD11 may need to email her teacher while we are at WDW so I may have to bite the bullet and pay the $10/day internet fee once or twice during our trip.

According to reports, the best places to trade CS for multiple snacks are resort food courts or resort CS restaurants. You may not be so successful at park CS or at places that sell only snacks and no CS meals, like Goofy's Candy Co. or a store.

Also, the number of snacks you can get per CS seems to vary by restaurant.

I'd suggest asking a cashier how many snacks per CS before you go around collecting snacks.

In february, my dh got sick and was unable to use some final credits. We had a TS and I can't remember how many cs. We were just about to get on DME and I ran to the food court. They allowed me to trade each meal credit (didn't matter if it was ts or cs) to 3 snacks. (heck of a deal :rolleyes:) I am not sure that would have worked in the park...but it worked just fine at the hotel.

Just did some quick math. Looking at 2010 dining plan costs for adults (non-peak), and using an assumption that the typical deluxe plan uses 2 TS and 1 CS in a day, it seems Disney has placed a value on each type of credit in order to compute the plan costs.

TS=$26
CS=$12
SC=$4

It seems to me that Disney would generally consider a 3 for 1 trade (3 SC for 1 CS) to be a fair trade.

Thank you so much for posting this, what a wonderful job you do. It is greatly appreciated. We will be at SSR on 10/4/10.

Reading all this is making me really hungry!!! popcorn::
Can't wait to get there and try some of these out! :banana:

carrot cake at Boardwalk Bakery is no longer allowed as a snack credit...we were just there on Saturday September 18, 2010. They have little purple DDP icons on each tray of pastries that are allowed. Carrot cake is not one of the choices anymore. They told us it was removed from the dining plan snack list and charged us cash, unfortunately. :sad2:

Thank you so much for posting and sharing this list! I need to have this with me for reference later!

Has anyone else recently been unable to get an ice cream cookie sandwich at Main Street Bakery? Is there anyone going soon who is willing to investigate? I just want to get verification that it is true across the board vs. a "rogue" CM. Thanks! :upsidedow

I think the above is a pretty recent post and I don't get the feeling it was a "rogue" CM. I think there are other posts that also talk about a snack is supposed to be one item and not 3.

Someone on another thread stated that Goofys no longer took snack credits....I still see they are on the list, please tell me the other poster was misinformed. My oldest was saving all his credits for candy LOL

I am leaving for Disney on the 14th !!Anything in particular I can check out for this awesome thread !! ?????

Duh....I should have added that we'll be leaving in 4 days....if anyone needs anything checked I can do that as well :)

The poster was misinformed. :) The list here should be accurate. They did away with most of the "make your own" creation options as a snack credit, but there are lots of other individual serving items still available.

We were just there this past week and used a lot of credits at Goffys. My kids were able to make the fiil the sugar tube thing and we loaded up on fudge and brownies. They had a lot of options.

Thanks...my 16 year old has a HUGE sweet tooth and while I'm perfectly happy using my snack credits on fruit and other snacking options (especially at F&W Festival) he wants candy candy candy. Which is kind of silly considering we're doing the MNSSHP too LOL

As far as the icecream sandwich at Main Street....we definitely will check that out! My oldest dd has been wanting one all year since seeing the picture of it on here and we'll be buying one OOP if it's not included on the DDP as a snack. We'll also be paying OOP for caramel apples....my fav!
